"I was worried that the light will give away our position, but I think anything that lives down here can see in the dark."
While Thrawn's curiosity about the second door will soon be sated he did feel disappointed that there was nothing down the hall. "I wonder what this was for, maybe a mass burial room with all those skeletons, it's really hard to figure anything out without the right context. I just hope we're not moving further down the tomb."
When they got back to the room Thrawn got had his axe in one hand and the lantern in the other, he rolled his shoulder and prepared to execute his plan.
"Alright, give me some light and I'll make a hole with my axe. Hopefully we can see what we're getting into this time before rushing in."
Once the lantern was lit Thrawn would swing his hammer down at the center of the door several times until the wood gave in to reveal the next room.

"I don't know enough about monsters to refute that."
"I'm not sure what that room was for. Perhaps it was a mass burial chamber. There don't seem to be any indications otherwise though."
Fyrra would comply with the request for more light. However her first attempt was met with failure. She sighed, cleared her mind and tried again. This second time the stream of flames missed entirely and struck a wall. Thrawn was lucky. They were all lucky. Apparently her concentration was suffering. She sat down on the floor and crossed her legs.
"I'm sorry, I'm trying to concentrate. Maybe I'm still a little shaken. Let me try again."
She attempted to clear her mind some more, and focused on lighting the lantern. Just the lantern. Nothing else. Not Thrawn. Not Merrake. Not Herself. Not the wall. Not the floor. Not anything. Just the lantern. Smoke fizzled for a second out of her fingertips. This wasn't working.
"That's not working. Hold on a second."
She signed, and then slapped herself across the face. It had come to her that maybe she needed something to occupy the burgeoning anxiety in the back of her mind. Pain was something that would occupy that, and perhaps empty her mind of it giving herself something else to focus on other than how she was failing at lighting a simple lantern.
"Kalimbra!"
"Shh!"
With her fourth attempt a failure. She hit herself again, this time on the other cheek, both starting to change to a more flushed blue, closer to purple or violet, than her skin color.
Then the lantern came to life. Finally. She sighed, and stood back up.
"There. Success! Swing away, Thrawn!"
Merrake was both appalled and surprised at her charge. Hitting herself? That was something she had never seen Fyrra do.

The Fourth Room
Thrawn would see nothing of interest through the peek hole he had made in the door. It would be clear to him however that the immediate area in front of the door was clear and that there was more space he just couldn't see from his vantage point. That additional space was off to the right. For all he knew the room was full of monsters.

Thrawn tried not to laugh as the Kalimbra smacked herself before lighting his lantern, which he used to shed some light through the hole he made. Which through he saw nothing, he could not see the whole room, and he assumed if there were more creatures they would have been drawn to the noise, but he did not want to to risk anything.
"Looks clear, I'll break down the door. Stand ready," he said as he stepped back and gave the door a hard kick, much to the Barbarian's frustration it hardly made a dent. Maybe the Kalimbra was not the only one feeling off. Thrawn recentered and tried again. The door stood firm. Grumbling now, he took a few steps back and attacked the door a third time. He nearly bounces back, though he could almost feel it giving way.
"Okay, this is getting annoying," Thrawn stepped back, more frustrated with himself than anything and threw himself shoulder first at the door. Finally it breaks and Thrawn nearly tumbles into the darkness. He managed to stop himself from falling over, barely and regained his footing before looking around and making sure nothing evil lurked in the room.

"Ha!"
The Kalimbra shouted as he collided with the door the first time. Then there was nothing but the creaking of wood and possibly the man's bones. Instead of feeling disheartened, she watched him do it again. Shouting for him as he did so.
"Ha ha!"
"Nope.. doesn't look like he got through."
"Why don't you help?"
"You're kidding right? He's huge. Look at me. I'd bounce off-- he bounced off the door... The door would kill me, Kalimbra."
"Oh shush. Doors can't kill people."
"Don't say that, you don't know."
Then Thrawn took the door down with a mighty body slam. Fyrra followed him in, and Merrake followed after her. Weapons were drawn, both half-breeds were alert and ready to fight. She noticed that Thrawn had regained his composure after breaking through to the other room. She looked at Merrake with a grin on her face.
"Don't do it."
"Ha!"
"Dammit."

The Fourth RoomThe fourth room, which was now occupied by Thrawn, was similarly occupied by skeletons that seemed to be generally unaware of his presence despite all the noise he made, they were also unarmed. They were facing the wrong direction and standing there as if they were waiting for something to set them off. To the north was an unlit brazier, to the south was an open doorway, the door that had partitioned it had rotted away long ago. To the east was yet another unlit brazier. The fact that the skeletons had not reacted to Thrawn breaking down the door set off alarm bells in his head. A part of him wanted to charge in while he had the advantage but something was nagging at him. The other creatures have been aggressive and reacted to them, he wondered if they processed sounds at all or if their senses worked on some other magical level. Thrawn looked back at his companions and mouthed the words "cover me" to them, and started a slow approach towards the skeletons, looking out for any sudden movements or traps. If he manged to get to the skeletons without indecent he would try to destroy one quickly with one fell swoop of his axe right onto the monster's head. If that worked he would shield bash the next skeleton before trying to do the same to it.

The two women followed after Thrawn as he burst forth into the room. They scanned its edges and spied the few skeletons malingering unaware of their presence. Fyrra pointed at them. While Thrawn was sneaking up on the skeletons, Merrake knocked an arrow on her bow, drew the weapon back, and took aim at the only other skeleton. As soon as he attacked the middle one, she let her arrow loose, hoping to score a direct hit on its powder white skull. Fyrra did nothing particularly helpful in that moment other than stand there out of the way. She could have attempted to set the other skeleton on fire, but not without risking injury to Thrawn as he would have been caught in the cone. Instead she simply waited.

The sneak attack worked brilliantly. Just as Thrawn's axe was being buried into the middle skeleton's skull, Merrake's arrow pierced through the western skeleton's dome as well. Both monsters staggered forward, now aware that they were under attack, and turned towards their assailants. Thrawn had successfully landed a strength backed shield bash onto the eastern skeleton, knocking it off balance and onto the ground. It would take more than a moment for it to right itself. Now that the skeletons were aware, things wouldn't be as easy. Surprise was no longer on their side. SkeletonsHP: 23/300 30/300 22/300

With all of their attacks successful Thrawn pressed the advantage. He followed up his attack on the middle skeleton while the other one was on the ground. He would make a quick slashes at the skeleton's chest hoping to dispatch it quickly before turning his attention to the remaining skeletons. If the western one was still standing he would bury his axe in the creature's face with one strong blow, finally he would finish off the downed skeleton with a blow to the chest.

Merrake sensed the opportunity to follow up with an attack on the skeleton she shot while it was stunned. Thrawn seemed to be handling the other two reasonably well, and there was no reason for her to not pitch in while she was able to do so. She knocked another arrow, aimed, and loosed it. This time the arrow was heading for the skeleton's breast bone, to split that in half and destroy it. She was expecting that it would fall over into a pile of bones like the others had before. The warrior was quite proud of her archery skills at the moment. Despite how disappointed she was in her own stamina. Thrawn's boundless energy impressed her.
Fyrra was also impressed by the man's physical prowess. His ability to bowl over a monster, break down a door, and continue crushing his way through his obstacles was incredible. She watched him with interest, as there had been no drokagr in her experience that were capable of such feats of strength. They were a thin people for the most part. Thrawn was huge. His way of solving problems had a certain charm to them. Break it until it stops being a problem. For the Drokagr, Fyrra thought there was more finesse to problem solving. She didn't really pay much attention to Merrake's way of problem solving, which was the same as Thrawn's.

Results: Skeleton (West): Destroyed Skeleton (middle): Destroyed Thrawn: Receives 260 dmg
The skeleton that Merrake had aimed at was destroyed in the manner she had intended. The arrow pierced its chest and it was destroyed. Thrawn had less luck as his first swing missed, as did his second swing, and his final managed to bury itself into the middle skeleton. The time he spent trying to destroy it was enough time for the one that had been on the ground to not only get up, but bury its twisted weapon in the warrior's chest. It screeched horribly at him. His armor would save him from death. SkeletonsHP: 0/300 0/300 22/300

Thrawn cried out in pain from when the creature stabbed him. His scream turned into a roar as he let out a war cry, half out of pain and frustration half hoping that the skeleton would be scarred and give him some breathing room. If the creature did not give way the barbarian would try one more strike against the creature's head before retreating. Either way Thrawn would stumble backwards, shield raised defensively hoping to give his companions a better shot at the creature. Although his blood boiled for revenge, he did not want to risk his life over such a meaningless battle.

"Thrawn!"
"Thrawn!"
"Move so I can shoot it!"
Merrake's request went unheard however. It seemed Thrawn was hellbent on smashing the skeleton to pieces for stabbing him. She raised her bow, knocked an arrow, and drew it anyway. There wasn't a clean shot for her though, he was in the way, and she did not want to risk shooting him. If the skeleton took him down she would be the only one left to protect the Kalimbra. Already she felt like she was not enough. If a single skeleton could take Thrawn down, how would she fare?
Fyrra, however, had no intentions of letting Thrawn die. She tapped into her magical power and began to heal the great man. Slowly she'd start closing his wounds, stopping the bleeding and stitching some of the flesh back together. The important parts first. This would allow him to continue fighting. She could continue to heal him later if they survived.

Before the skeleton could act it was startled by Thrawn's battlecry! The great beast of a man did not go down as the skeleton may have expected after its piercing blow to his chest. Despite all the blood flowing from the wound, which seemed to miraculously stop before it got terribly bad, the warrior was still very much in decent shape. The skeleton on the other hand was standing there just before him, shaking with inaction.
