While Fyrra was resting Merrake managed to gain some stamina back. She stood she knocked the bow, and she fired a shot at the closest skeleton's head. Regardless of whether or not the first arrow hit the target, she did so again. If that one was destroyed, she'd pick another target. The arrows were garbage, and the bow was garbage. She desperately needed to acquire better weapons and armor. Building up her physical strength would be good as well, she thought she should at least have the same amount of stamina as Thrawn. The longer this fight went on with the multiple skeletons, the more she was impressed with him.
Fyrra couldn't do anything during this short span of seconds, she was too tired.

As the skeletons began to fall before them, Thrawn's resolve strengthened. He examined the door which was in pretty good shape for the time being. As long as they kept at this pace, Thrawn guessed that they would be done with the skeletons before they break it down.
"Alright that's it, when I die I want to be cremated. Not gonna cause grief for any adventurers when I'm dead."
The part that Thrawn did not mention, is that he hoped that they would make it out of there alive so he can see to that. But he felt that might have been too morbid for the situation, and things were actually going their way.

Their luck did not hold out. Though Merrake managed to shoot two more skeletons to destruction, burying arrows in their skulls, the other two continued the assault. The fifth skeleton to be seen in this battle knocked what Thrawn was bracing out of the way and advanced on the barbarian, slashing with its crooked sword. It struck him in the hand, leaving a wicked red scratch. The sixth skeleton pushed past its comrade and first attack Thrawn, bringing its weapon up from the floor slashing him along his feet. Then it noticed Fyrra, who appeared defenseless. It sought to bring the weapon down on her head, but instead the blade bit into stone, making a loud clanging noise. The skeletons broke through. Fyrrah froze in fear, Merrake froze in fear. She was too far back to be able to reach her charge. Her muscles ached, and protested as she tried to her in time. The bodyguard dropped her bow and drew her axe and nearly collapsed from exhaustion. Fyrra was still frozen when the skeleton attacked her. Luckily its crooked blade passed her by harmlessly. Its attempt was feeble. She would not let it get another one, her adrenaline was pumping now. Her survival instinct switched into fight mode and she pulled the dagger from her thigh and jammed it at the center of the creature's face. Destroying it would save herself, and potentially help save Thrawn who was likely locked in melee with the other remaining skeleton.
This one was not one of the ones she had set on fire. It still appeared mostly intact, having only taken little damage from the prior attacks made against it.
Fyrra thought about this dusty old tomb. She thought about how she didn't want it to become her tomb. It was unbecoming, and poorly serviced. People probably didn't even know it was here.
That was sad to her.

Thrawn was not sure if it was his luck or his strength that gave out on him, but the skeletons broke through. Though this was not the worst case scenario, despite his curses and cries of pain from being cut. His weapon and shield in hand Thrawn moved to engage the skeletons in combat.
If the skeleton that attacked Fyrra was sill intact Thrawn would put himself between her and monster, creating space with a shield slam which he hoped would stagger or stun the undead creature, he would then follow up with burying his axe in the thing's face. Then he would brace for the second monster.
If however Fyrra managed to defend herself Thrawn would attempt to do the same to other skeleton facing him.

Skeleton 6 -Destroyed
Their desperate efforts in close quarters combat managed to pay off. Fyrra buried the blade of her dagger in the skeleton's skull, breaking through the bone all the way to the hilt. The monster dropped in front of her becoming a pile of nothing more than dusty old bones with no ill will or malice to animate them. The skeleton that Thrawn fought took the shield blow and was staggered by it, the follow up blow to its face with the axe was enough to render it a burning pile of bones quickly converting to ashes. Now that there was a moment of respite, it was obvious that the skeletons dropped a great many things that they had been carrying, and there was something at the end of the hallway they had been guarding. After the last of the skeletons fell Thrawn could do little else but collapse himself. He walked over to the table that he used to brace the door lay down on top of it.
"I am never going anywhere without this thing."
As he lay there getting himself together he looked at the items dropped by the monsters, the swords did not interest him, however the helmet and the mace caught his attention. After catching his breath he walked over to where the helmet was, kicked it up and caught it with his hand before placing it on his head.
He collected the rest of the loot dropped by the skeletons and placed everything except for the helmet and mace on the table.
"I'm fine with just this, you can keep the rest if you like."

Fyrra sat where she had been standing when she destroyed the skeleton. Merrake came over to her and sat next to her. The Kalimbra was shaking, the experience she had just lived through brought her so close to death. Her mind played back the events slowly, from the door opening, to burying her dagger in the skull of one of their foes. She reached for her weapon and pulled it out of the fallen enemy. She stared at the weapon for a minute, and then laid back on the cold stone floor. The ceiling was spinning.
"Are you alright, Kalimbra?"
"I just need to rest. That was horrible."
"We should take the gold. No reason to leave it down here. The rest of it can be left behind. Rusted weaponry can be unreliable."
Merrake collected the money and placed it in a pouch. She then sat back down next to the Kalimbra, obviously on guard. She didn't have much to say to Trawn, other than the suggestion she made when the loot had been split up and settled. His cheerful nature was refreshing.
"Let's rest a bit before venturing further. We're both exhausted."
Resting!

Thrawn took a few practice swings with the mace, he liked the weight and feel of it, and he could do something about the rust when goes back to the forge. Satisfied he hung his newly found weapon on a spare belt loop.
As he sat down to rest beside his companions he noticed how shaken Fyrra was. Thrawn did not see that look often, he was brought up in a place that reveled in combat. Were they his kin they would be celebrating and boasting about their victory. He was not sure what to say to her to help, but he did not like saying nothing.
"Hey, great work with that fire back there, and taking down that one that got through. That could have been far worse."
He did his best to sound comforting, and smiled at her as rested his head against the cold wall.
Resting.

Third Room Update
The group found themselves left alone as they rested. There were no monsters left in the immediate and open rooms to bother them, and the darkness itself was no threat. Though the brazier in the room finally ran out of fuel, leaving them without a static source of light.

"Yes... it could have been far worse."
Fyrra got up from her meditation and stretched, then shifted and adjusted herself appropriately. She wasn't sure if she was doing so well herself. Even though Thrawn had praised her. She did not believe the dagger would cut it again if it was necessary to get that close and personal again. It had saved her once. Fear started to scratch at the back of her mind. There was the possibility that she was in over her head. Not one she wanted to continue to entertain, but she could not help it.
Merrake put herself in front of her charge and said one word.
"Steady."
The warrior had done this before. She knew what it was like to fight for her life. She felt terrible, she should have been there to intercept the skeleton. Her deficiency weighed on her.
"Where to now, Thrawn?"

Thrawn did not like being in the darkness again, but knowing that his companions had no trouble seeing reassured him. He tried not to worry but he still held on to the grip of his weapon just in case.
When asked whereto go next Thrawn stood up and after some fumbling got his lantern out in his left hand.
"I'm curious to see where the other door leads, I could put a hole in it with my axe to peak through it, I don't want to open another door that leads to more undead than we can handle."
Even though Thrawn wanted to find a way out of the corpse infested place, his original objective was to investigate and discover things. So far all he had was some old weapons, hardly anything to remark on, so he wanted to explore as much of the place as he could, but not without the consent of his friends.
"Or keep going the other way, it seems clear, for now, so it might be safer."
The Darthaki felt restless staying in one place in the dark for so long. While his right hand kept a firm grip on his axe his left subconsciously stroked the lantern, as if it would ignite that way. He did not want to ask for it to be lit right away in case the Kalimbra had not fully recovered yet; so he tolerated the dark for as long as he could.

"I am in favor of going the path we just cleared. As Thrawn said, it may be safer now."
"That sounds good. Let us be careful though. Every corner could bring more danger, and more of those things."
"We'll stay in front, the way behind is safe. Are you ready?"
"Yes. Go ahead."
Merrake got off the floor and headed into the hallway they had just cleared, the one where multiple skeletons had come to greet them. She had her hand axe ready with her buckler on her off hand. Proceeding forward carefully, ready to strike at any new foe that came across their path. She would not let another enemy get to Fyrra like they had in the last battle. It had been her fault. If Fyrra had died, she would never have forgiven herself.
Fyrra would follow behind once Thrawn proceeded through the threshold. She kept her dagger close to her chest, looking around warily. Clearly still afraid of what may come. Yet confidence was starting to seep in. She had killed a monster. The fear was starting to subside, and she was beginning to truly process what had occurred.

Thrawn contemplated asking for his lantern to be lit but decided against it. The light might give them away, as long his companions can see in the ark he trusted that things will be fine. He attached it back to his belt and fell in behind Merrake.
"Fyrra, if we get into a fight in the dark can you light the lantern, without setting me on fire of course," that last part was for humor, but he really hoped he wouldn't catch on fire accidentally if it came to that.
He kept in pace behind the Half-Drokgar, he was only a step or two behind her trying not to bump into her by keeping measure of his steps. He wondered what was behind that other door, but he was not that desperate to find out if it meant them getting out. He hoped that the worst was behind them.

"Of course. But why not light it now?""There are a couple of braziers in here.""I see them." "I think we're at a end here? I don't see any other doors."Fyrra made a noise of frustration. She would have preferred to go along a safer path. Since Merrake didn't see any other doors, and she had yet to see one, the only way to proceed forward was to go back into the other room and try the only remaining door. A prospect she didn't like, but had no choice in now. Her frustration grew. Merrake came back and led them back into the room they had rested in. "So I guess we try the other door?"The question was rhetorical, but she was hoping that there was an alternative.
