The Third Room
This room was square. There was a table in the north eastern corner. The party would be entering through the north door which was centered along that wall. To the east and west were more doors. Directly across from them on the south end was another brazier. There were some objects on the table. Notably a lantern, a pouch, and some small change in coins. The western door appeared to be rusted shut, it would take either a great deal of strength to open it, or ingenuity. The eastern door was a mess of splintered wood.

"Room is empty."
"Good.. I need a break or I'm going to pass out."
Fyrra walked over to the brazier and attempted to light it. As soon as that was accomplished she'd go over to the table to sit on it, and look at the trinkets on it. She needed a rest, so did Merrake. The battle had exhausted them. If they were going to continue to search the catacombs they would need to regain their stamina. Resting was the only option. They hadn't brought any food. They didn't think they were going to be stuck down here. It was entirely accidental that they were down here in the first place.
Merrake sat down in the middle of the floor, crossing her legs under her. She drew her weapons and looked them over quickly. Then closed her eyes and tried to meditate. She agreed with Fyrra, a break was needed.

Once the room was lit Thrawn walked over to the table to examine what was on it. The lantern caught his attention immediately, he checked it's condition before holding it up for everyone to see.
"I'll be taking this if you guys don't mind."
He then gathered the coins and put them in the pouch that was there too and offered it to Fyrra, if she declined he would shrug and keep it.
Wordlessly Thrawn pressed his back against the nearby wall and slid down to the ground. He let his axe fall to the ground, and rested his head in his hands. The adrenaline from the fight was starting to wearing out, and his close brush with death has left him slightly shaken, most of all he felt tired.
Taking some time to breathe and unwind, eventually Thrawn would lift his head up and look at their two options, he thought he might be able to get the rusted door open, but he did not feel like trying that at the moment. He just wanted to breathe.

"Feel free. We don't need it, and thank you for the pouch."
Fyrra kept a hold of the pouch. She was not aware of the money inside. She had mentally checked out, and continued to rest until she felt like she was fully recovered, for as long as that may take. At some point she must have fallen asleep. When she came to, it was with a start. Her head swam as her eyes adjusted once again to her surroundings. It was a strange thing, falling asleep and then waking again in a short period. It was intoxicating.
"You were asleep, then not. I find meditation less jarring than actual sleep."
"What's the longest you've gone with just meditation?"
"Forty two days."
"I might have to learn to meditate."
They both went back to resting. Merrake was awake enough to warn against any dangers. Being a daywalker had its difficulties.
Resting!

It did not take long for sleep to overcome Thrawn as well. His mind was as grateful for the brief respite as his body was. During his sleep his mind was a storm memories, and fantasies hardly tied together in any logical sense. One second he was running in the snow, the next he was engulfed by the darkness, the shadows came to life and started jabbing at him. He swung at them with all his might but to no avail. He quickly fell.
Just as he was being overrun by the shadows sudden burst of light shined above him, it was Fyrra engulfed in flames pushing back the darkness, Merrake was suddenly beside him, helping him up, her strength flowed into him and Thrawn rose up to face the darkness once more. Only for a skeleton to materialize and stab him repeatedly in the chest.
Thrawn awoke with a gasp clutching his chest with one hand and his axe with the other. It took him a few moments to realize that it was a dream and that he was panting, he slowed his breathing, and relaxed against the wall once more. He closed his eyes and tried to stop himself from shaking too much until his body was finally relaxed.
He desperately hoped that the others had not seen him, despite himself he felt ashamed that he was reacting this way.
Resting, I hope.

Fyrra snapped awake a second after Thrawn did. She hadn't seen Thrawn snap to, nor did she realize later. First she checked on Merrake. The half-breed was still on the floor meditating. The kalimbra wiped the drool from her mouth and looked over at Thrawn. He looked like he could use more rest. His wounds looked better though, that was a good sign. He had passed by Azuloth. The kalimbra was happy to see that he was coming around the bend.
"How are you feeling, Thrawn?"
She rubbed sleep from her eyes and got off the table, tying the pouch to her sarong. The one door looked sealed, the other door was messed up. They could go through either. She wasn't sure which one was the better path though. She didn't have much of a sense of direction.
Merrake stood up and stretched there. She performed a back bend, several lunges, and stretched her arms out. She put her weapons back together and took her bow back up and knocking an arrow. She was ready to shoot anything that walked in either door. The way behind was shut to them, they must go forward.
"Which way do you think?"
"Either. Neither seems to lead one way or the other."

"Much better actually."
Thrawn stood up and stretched his neck, back and shoulders, sleeping against a wall was not the most comfortable thing in the world. Even though his dreams were disturbing, Thrawn hardly felt the aches of his wounds and was ready to take on the rest of this dark and desolate dungeon.
The Darthaki caught himself starring at Merrake as she was stretching, when he realized what he was doing he tried to causally make it look like he was looking around the room. He walked towards the rusted door, after examining it he figured that he might be able to break it open if he tried hard enough.
"Could be something valuable behind here, or a way out. I think I can break it open."
With that Thrawn brought up his leg and kicked at the door, it did not budge. Thrawn gathered himself and gave it another kick, once again nothing. Getting annoyed Thrawn took a few steps back and rammed into the door with his shoulder. The door gave way and Thrawn almost tumbled into the darkness.
He walked back into the room with the others, he took out his lantern and tied it to his belt.
"There we go, Fyrra can I get a light so I'm not completely blind for once?"
While Thrawn might be able to see with the lantern, he knew even then he will not be able to see as good as the others in the dark.

The Keyshaped Hall
The door clattered to the floor loudly. The hallway was dark. There was the sound of shuffling beyond the dark. The shuffling of bones on the floor. There were about six distinct individual creatures in that room. The shuffling at first was quiet, but it continued to get louder as the time went on. They were closing in.

Merrake looked over to where Thrawn was standing. She heard the shuffling. Then she looked past him. There were a bunch of skeletons in that hallway. The door had been pretty much kicked off its hinges and the door was on the floor. There was no shutting it now. They had to do something about this. Now. Before the skeletons got to Thrawn. Before the six of them tore the three apart. She turned, knocked her arrow, and pulled it back. She would get off three shots before her muscles would ache enough to get her to stop. She hadn't gotten enough rest.
"Agh... my arms. I'm still worn out."
Fyrra got up off the table and clamored over to where Merrake was standing.
"Oh Azuloth, that's a lot more of them than last time. Thrawn, be ready. Keep the shield up while I light the lantern. If they get too close I'll breath fire on them."
Fyrra shifted and tried to light the lantern from a distance.

That was not what Thrawn was hoping for. He wished he had some sort of explosive or at least a bow and arrow to try shooting some of them down before they got to the room. But he had another idea that was much better than standing around doing nothing.
"Maybe this will buy us some time."
Thrawn got to work immediately. He picked up the door and placed it against the frame at at slanted angle so that his companions can still shoot through it. He then moved the table and used it to pin the door against the wall with the table. "I'll try to hold them back, let me know if I'm in your way."
With his shield up Thrawn pushed against the table to secure their makeshift barricade. It may not hold for long but he hoped that the others can drop a few skeletons before things break out into a melee brawl.

Merrake got her three shots off in the heart beats before Thrawn and Fyrra could move into action. The arrows flew down the hallway. Two of them found their marks in the skulls of the closest two skeletons. The third missed its target and shattered as it slammed into the back wall of the hallway. Thrawn managed to position the door as he desired, providing a barricade and he further bolstered their defenses with the wooden table the loot was on before. He braced it with his strength, providing a strong barrier against the skeletons. As he did so, Fyrra lit the lantern just as the brazier went out from a lack of fuel. He would still be able to see. The skeletons then reached the barricade, one by one. The first one clamored up to it and swung with its rusty weapon at the door, trying to knock it down. Its blade scraped along the rusted surface and made a horrible noise. The force of the blow was light, and Thrawn held the barricade in place. The metal door was still holding up when the second skeleton arrive and swung wildly. It clipped its ally on the arm with its blade, damaging it, but not hitting the door at all. The third skeleton arrived then and swung, but it too couldn't manage to hit the door. The others reached the immediate area, but could not get to the door to try to knock it down, the others were in the way. With the barricade holding, and the enemies bunched up behind it, Fyrra saw the perfect opportunity to utilize her magic. She ran up to the barrier, looked the skeletons in their dead eyes, and took in a deep breath. Then she exhaled, unleashing a cone of ravaging flames into the key-shaped hallway. She hoped to hit all six of the skeletons with the first blast of fire. When she was out of breath, she inhaled deeply again, and unleashed fire upon them. Fyrra hoped that would be enough to weaken her foes to the point of destruction. She was too tired to continue fighting. She slumped down next to the doorway, out of harms reach, exhausted.
"I'm... I'm done. I'm exhausted."
"Me too... Thrawn, hold them back while we rest a minute. We're tapped out."
Merrake and Fyrra were both panting heavily. The bodyguard was on a knee, trying to catch her breath. Her stamina left something to be desired. She did not like feeling weak. She wanted to contribute more.

Even from a safe distance Thrawn felt the heat from Fyrra's fire breath. He hoped that the the flames were enough to roast the majority of the skeletons.
"Oh sure, you guys can go ahead and take a nap maybe we can ask them if they would like to take a break?"
He was being a smart ass just to try to lift their spirits, sure they were not in the most ideal situation but he was not about to give into despair. Still holding the table into place Thrawn turned to them and smiled.
"I got this. We are not dying in this horrid pit. When we get out I'm buying the whole tavern drinks!"
Thrawn gritted his teeth and braced for impact once again.
