Said kid was just standing there, slightly gobsmacked at the fact that this deal had been stolen right out from under him, he'd been in need of that money and then someone had jumped in and offered a higher price than he could afford to top. What surprised him even more was the fact that he knew this person, the lady-mayor of Viktoria to be exact.
Arthurius just stood there, not even knowing what he could do, she was a lady, he couldn't just shout at her and tell her to get the hell out, plus the fact that she'd already made the deal and Kable had agreed to it, he had been completely cut out of the situation. He wouldn't beg, he wouldn't plead, he was far to proud for that, but still he was feeling absolutely crushed by this happening.
He barely even heard Kable's reply, he was still reeling from it, lost for words and having no way to best her deal.

" Would you happen to have fifteen Dragon Fruit rations, and ten iron ingots? If you have either of these, I would like to add that to the same order going to Innorsford." Should she impose leaving the kid with Kable? That she didn't really care about, from what it sounded like the Skaldi would have a pretty good grip on getting the supplies delivered themselves...without Arthurius being a bother. " If you want him along that is between the two of you. I just wish to have the supplies delivered safely. Which I am sure you have covered." Giving the decision right back to Kable, and letting Arthurius argue the point to the man. Kable could weigh the risks the best to himself. She didn't need to decide for him. " What will I owe you?" As having that much money around wasn't a smart decision she had a bank note at the ready. You like that kid? Her inner monologue chuckled.

So things literally could not get much worse, he'd been completely cut out of the deal, they were both talking about him as if he wasn't really there and on top of that she had offered the rest of the required items as well, not even allowing him to order a smaller transport for those few items himself that could have partially saved him. Well this sucked.
Arthurius had recovered from his shock partially and it was now turning into anger, although he was smart enough to realise that should he openly be angry things would only get worse for him, so instead he kept it to himself, choosing to keep it buried instead.
When the matter of him was brought into the conversation again he spoke up, "Don't bother about it, there's no need anymore" He said rather curtly, there was no point in him even being in this conversation anymore now that he'd been completely cut out of things.

Kable's trade caravan had come to Morith, and with it came opportunities. Allyria had rushed out of Novora with just a few words.
"I'llbebackgonnagobuystuff!"
She was spending so much money lately. She needed to start crafting some goods to sell. Or at least samples so people would commission the same. The backpack was a good start. Enough for someone like her to use, she could make lighter varieties. But she wanted to present people with a variety of goods too. Clothing, packs, camping gear, lanterns, weapons, armor. The works.
Then she also wanted to go on adventures. It came to her that she'd have to hire someone eventually if she was going to go on adventures. Delving deep into the underground, looking for lost knowledge.
That's how she imagined it. Anyway, she arrived at Kable's nice little caravan and browsed the goods on sale.
The iron and cotton caught her eye. She bought twenty of each. There was nothing else she particularly wanted. The leather was cheaper at Brakenworth's.
She paid the nice young lady, and went on her way. Not even bothering to haggle like some people did.
Amateur.
20 Cotton: 20 gold 20 Iron Ingots: 140 gold

Ethan would pop into Kable's trade caravan to purchase a few goods. Two daggers, a brand spanking new suit of leather armor, and a leather belt sash. He wasn't the kind to negotiate prices, unless he found them overly unfair and these seemed decent enough prices to him.
Without any more trouble Ethan was gone, and had not decided to try and pick any pockets this time around. Ethan was being a very good boy.

Ssryl approached the trade caravan, he wasn't sure how they would react to a skaldi, especially one with a human boy in tow. He would have to play it off like it was his master's son keeping an eye on him. He needed raw supplies if he planned on making something to keep himself and Thomas safe. Iron would have to do for now, it was all he really knew how to work with anyways. He handed Thomas their money, he wasn't sure they would take coin from a Skaldi. There was a lady who seemed to be selling raw materials, it was her he approached, "Ssryl buys iron for masters. Masters' hatchling pays the lady." Motioning for Thomas to step forward, "Ssryl needs six ingots for masters."
Thomas was rather scared of the lady, but he handed her the bag of coin, neither Ssryl nor Thomas were very good at counting, so hopefully the Lady was honest. Ssryl saw that Thomas was staring at the Dragonfruit rations. "And some of your dragonfruits for masters' hatchling as well," he held up three clawed fingers indicating the number he wished to purchase.
Six iron, to be carried by Ssryl, 3 dragonfruit rations to be carried by Thomas. Total 45gp.

Arthurius once again walked into the caravan site, having now been there several times and although the venue changed the layout of the caravans and of their owners never changed no matter where in Cruinthe you found them. This time though he wasn't here to try and do a job or to buy something, he was actually here to give some money back.
He'd borrowed a loan from here, and now he could finally afford to pay it back, armed with a bag of coins at his waist he stepped into the larger tent that Kable used as his base of operations.
"If i pay you back right now this very second. How much do I owe you?"

"Do you not remember the terms of your contract boy? You owe two thousand five hundred twelve ritz, five duc. If you weren't going to keep the money for the full ten weeks then you should have negotiated a shorter term."
Kable waited a long moment to see the boy's reaction before he gave a light chuckle. "I'm just joshing you boy, at four weeks you owe... let me sse, compound the interest, carry that over and.... 1005 ritz."

Arthurius froze for several seconds, surely if he handed the money back early then he'd get a reduced fee, that's what he'd been betting on this whole time and had laid his foundations on, Arthurius almost collapsed right there from the realisation that he would have to work for longer to pay back the full sum and have the constant threat of an even higher debt looming over his shoulder.
And then Kable dropped the bomb, he'd only been screwing with him, he could hand it back early as he'd expected and at little under the amount he'd originally had to return, Arthurius put a large sack of ritz on the table and then counted out five extra coins next to it.
Thinking for a few seconds he then counted an extra hundred on top of that, "The extra is for allowing me to take this loan in the first place, it was very decent of you."

Jonathon cautiously approached the caravan, after spending time in the fields around Fordeth he'd very easily been able to watch the comings and goings of certain people and groups around the city, and one such thing that he had noticed was in fact a trade caravan that seemed to appear near the city at seemingly random times. It sat on a highway not far from the city, a circle of caravans all seemingly selling different things, it was quite amusing to him considering he only so far had been able to look through what meagre wares had been available to him in the Fordeth central market.
Jonathon walked into the ring of caravans, they didn't seem to sell mayn decent wares, most of it being nothing of particularly good quality yet nothing that was to bad either. Jonathon pulled the small boot knife he had purchased in Fordeth, examining the blade, he had no need as of yet to replace it so he wouldn't bother wasting the money on a new one now.
The armour seemed good, nothing like what was produced in the city, but the restricting heavy plate that they sold in the city was to much for him, he needed to be able to move quickly and without plates clanking everywhere, it would be to heavy and cumbersome for him to cast magics and effectively wield a sword in.
Jonathon picked up the few light pieces of armour they sold, a sash that he quickly fastened around his waist, and a set of hardened leather armour that he strapped around his torso, neither were particularly strong but they gave him the freedom of movement that he required to work properly.

The birds were still chirping when the three missing skaldi returned to the caravan nearly a month after they had left on their mission to bring materials to Innorsford. The team had run into quite a few scrapes on the way to the town, and even more on the way back. The three had persevered through it all though. They stumbled into camp out of breath, bloody, and covered in fresh scars. Na'ka had lost an eye. Trusk had serious burns on over half of his body, and Brusk looked like he had been carved up like a chicken.
Immediately the others rushed to their aid. Within a few days they had managed to recover from their wounds entirely. Na'ka had been given a stylish eye patch. Within a week Trusk had started to grow back most of his scales that had been burned off.
The three of them were back to work by the end of the week on light duty.

Junipos 1st, 200ATD
Allyria stopped by the trade caravan when they arrived in Morith. It was a good opportunity to get out of the market, out of her house, and actually buy some supplies instead of having to shop from her competitors. Thing is, they didn't have everything she would want to have. Some regular dragonfruit would be nice, instead of the dried out and crunchy rations. Sure, they were delicious. But there was nothing quite like biting into a succulent dragonfruit, full of juice.
Her mouth watered at the thought.
After wiping the drool from her face, she strode up to the merchant that was handling supplies. Cera Kingsworth.
"I'd like twenty one iron ingots today. And... why not.. sixteen bolts of cotton if you have it."
Goods: Iron Ingot, 21 Cotton, 16 Cost: 163 Gold.
"Good doing business." -- Cera Kingsworth.

Ulric walked into the camp, marvelling at how well organised it was and rather pleased that such a good looking site could be so mobile. They also seemed to boast quite a good selection of wares here as well, there seemed to be several stalls each containing an array of items that someone could need in a pinch.
The ones that drew him though were the weapons and armour, a bow could be useful to have....I mean having some sort of ranged combat method that wasn't his magic could always be rather useful. If he was to carry out the task that Tyr had set him then he would definitely be needing some sort of ranged combat method, they were wolves. Wolves close up were something you didn't want to face, claws and sharp teeth everywhere. He didn't fancy that.
Ulric slung the bow over his shoulder with a quiver, filling it up with the rather insufficient arrows that were sold, maybe he could get Tyr to supply him with some better arrows, these seemed rather bad.
Oooooh dragonfruit, they were always useful. Ulric threw some coins on the counter where he had taken the weapons from, moving over to another one that contained dragonfruit and filling every pocket he had with them and putting some coins now on this table. A belt would probably be good as well, he could store some in it, so then a belt was added to the ever growing pile of things he was buying.
The travelling caravan seemed so good, now if they had entertainment as well then that would be great, a travelling entertainment caravan that sold food and drink could also work rather well. I mean, travelling to all the different duchies and city provinces and putting on shows, a day of relaxation and entertainment, it would be good wouldn't it. Maybe it was something he would look into running, if he could ever get the funds together for something on such a large scale.
Buying : 10 Dragonfruit. 10g Longbow. 15g 50 Arrows. 10g Quiver. 10g Leather Sash. 2g Total: 47g
