King Redgar Karligar -Encountered enemies: 76th Battalion-5 Infantry A few more companies near Redgar's command fell to the flanking blades of the militia. Redgar was able to then push in farther and that is where he encountered more enemy infantry. These men quickly tried to encircle their foe. Yet none attacked. They were waiting for an opportune moment to get past the dire wolf and take him from the saddle with their spears. Jorkahn Wealddir -Encountered Enemies: NoneJorkahn's attempt at intimidating the infantry that had Kell previously surrounded worked. They broke and ran down the nearby alleyway, shedding their weapons and leaving them behind. They didn't want to fight the man that had killed their battalion commander. In their minds that was suicide, and none of them were suicidal. Allyria Allenmorde -Encountered Enemies: None.Allyria's stars fell upon enemy troops of the eightieth battalion, destroying three entire companies and pushing that battalion back over the wall that was guarding the warehouse district. Fyrra Na'Limndra -Encountered Enemies: None. The Kalimbra encountered no enemies. Tyr (0) -Encountered Enemies: 72nd Battalion-Battalion Commander Shapeshifter -See Next Post.
@namaphry -Encountered Enemies: 70th Battalion -5 Infantry "Hey I think she's off her horse!""Move in!"A few more infantry joined the two men that had been pinned down previously. They approached the former rider and began to try to encircle her with their spears out and ready to attack. Once they had managed a full circle, they would begin to attack. To them, she would be easy pickings, they did not realize her weapons were magical, nor that her armor was tough. Kell Lo'TharanEncountered Enemies: NoneNone, see Jorkahn's post.

Battalion Commander Shapeshifter Shapeshifter managed to throw two more knives before she caught fire and lost control of the illusion that she had over Tyr. She stumbled backwards and started to beat at the flames with her vestiments. The hot dark fire eating away at her clothing and flesh, as well as burning her equipment had almost entirely engulfed her. Her screaming would fill the air.

Rithaleya hadn't expected enemy reinforcements to arrive so quickly, nor had she expected her plan to fail. The two combined were easily enough to break her nerve. Fortunately, at least in a sense, her complete lack of combat training meant she also knew nothing about the rules of war, and when surrounded by five men pointing lethal weapons at her, she reacted with terror, not merely dismay and surrender.
And since they had her surrounded, it seemed the only way out was through. She surged into the enemy immediately to her left around the cart, screaming, and flailed at him with both of her weapons, wielding them more like a pair of clubs than an axe and a sword.

"Ha! You think you can beat Duke Redgar Karligar! COME MEET YOUR END! MERE WORMS!"
Redgar dug his heels into Baalrung's flanks from atop the saddle, directing the wolf where to go. The beast attempted to dodge the incoming spearheads. Its speed should allow it to do so with ease. It was a tough beast in the first place, and quite deadly. Redgar was quite happy with the purchase. He probably should have given more credit to Baalrung for protecting him, but of course he believed it was his own skill as a rider that allowed him to continue on.
The Duke jabbed his halberd at two of his nearest foes, looking to get them through their helmets. He was not in the mood to leave behind survivors. He was running out of energy though, he would soon need to replenish himself to keep his militia in shape. His focus dawdled only for a second before he shouted at them.
"CUT AROUND BEHIND THEM FOOLS! THEN CUT THEM DOWN!"

Aside from the militia around it, the tower seemed to be entirely unguarded. The pair made their way onto the second floor and looked out each window on it to get a view of the city. They did not need to be much higher. Morith may have been a wealthy city but not a lot of buildings were two stories tall. Fyrra noticed that there was fierce fighting in the east. And it was one of the few directions that had not had strange red stars arc across the sky and then explosions follow immediately after.
"That way looks like it could use some assistance."
"Right, let's go offer ourselves to Azuloth. Maybe we'll take some of the bastards with us first? Eh?"
"Ha... I don't mean to die, Merrake. Just help the militia fighting. No fatalistic approach."
"Not a fatalistic approach, you mean."
"Right. And I promise it isn't."
Fyrra and Merrake would then leave the tower with several rations for the trip across the city and to maintain their own supply while they were there.

Watching an illusion fall apart was quite a different experience. Tyr couldn't quite place whether the bird disappeared mid-air, fell to bits, both, or maybe neither. As the visual reality warping magic finished collapsing however, the Duke was left with the interesting sight of the battalion commander wreathed in dark flames. He wasn't entirely sure where they had come from, but he had a suspicion about it. Either way, the fire had probably helped remove the illusion and it gave him a clear opening to end this duel. Charging straight in, Tyr would close the distance and swing for the midsection. His target didn't seem to be wearing much in the way of armor, and one solid swing would likely obliterate her ribcage. He could only hope that when she went down the rest of the soldiers took it as their cue to run away, otherwise he'd be in the middle of a swarm that even his armor might not be able to survive. Either way it was one swing and done, shield then readied for whatever counterattack came.

The tide suddenly pulled out, where one moment he was surrounded by layers of steel pointed at him suddenly they were all pulled backwards. The three that were his immediate threat turned and fled in the tide of men rushing to escape, and suddenly he was left alone with the corpses of those who'd already fallen to either his magic or hammer.
Still he kept his hammer ready and eyes peeled, fearing they'd fallen back simply to allow a cavalry charge or some sort of magical attack to take effect. It quickly became clear what the real reason for their fleeing was, although how one man could cause panic through such a large group of soldiers was well beyond kell's understanding. The soldier stood there with what appeared to be a severed head held in his hands. It was clear he was an enemy of the skc forces by the fact he'd made a whole battalion flee and had saved his life, but the enemy of your enemy wasn't always your friend unfortunately, even if they had done something that ended up benefitting you.
Attempting niceties at first seemed to be the safest bet, but his hammer stayed within grip and he had a tight grasp on his pool ready to use his arts and weapon should this soldier prove an enemy and then he would have to act fast. Stopping out of swords reach of the newcomer and eyeing the decapitated head held in their hands he spoke. "You've saved me from quite a situation there it seems, you have my thanks for this, if only the rest of the battle could be won in this manner.

Jorkahn watched as the soldiers fled from him, too scared to hold onto their weapons but not their heads. They would live to fight another day, assuming no one intercepted them. The young Ritgr chuckled under his breath and took a few moments to bask in his victory. Eventually, a young Drokagr man walked up to the other half-breed. Jorkahn went into a combat stance but quickly relaxed when he recognized the individual. He listened as Kell spoke, nodding in recognition of his thanks before glancing at Adrian's severed head. A crooked smile reappeared on the young man's face.
"If we play our cards right it very well could." Another slightly off-putting chuckle before his face settled down to a more normal look. "I recommend you find some support, Sir Lo'Tharan. It isn't safe to be out on your own. Most of the gates and the tower have militia around, shouldn't be hard to find someone who may need your help. As for me, I am returning to the tower to reclaim my horse, maybe patrol for more rogue elements after."
The Champion of Jewels began walking North East towards the tower. If Kell didn't move he would walk right past him. As he passed Jorkahn would say, ""Regardless of your decision, good luck!" The Ritgr's eyes hardened again as he ran off.
Heading towards the tower for now to retrieve his horse.

Running low of energy, Allyria thought it would be a good idea to recharge her stores of wellspring energy. The extremely effective Crimson Star Cannon consumed much of her energy every time she cast the spell. Once again she ripped open a small portal in the fabric of the material realm to tap the latent wellspring energy in the spectral realm. However she made a small mistake. She made the portal too large and it swallowed her entirely. Before long, she was being passed through the space between worlds and soon would be coming out the other side.
She felt the pain of being crushed between two mountains, between heat and cold. Between material and spectral.
Her landing was rough, she'd find herself atop the tower once again.
"Crap... not what I intended."

Battalion Commander Shapeshifter
As Shapeshifter continued to try to beat out the dark flames assaulting her body, she turned to face the loud noise that was crashing towards her. It was the man in the ant armor. Moving like a conga line of determined skaldi. He barreled towards her as the flames at away at her flesh and armor, then he hit her in the midsection with a mace so fast she had no way to avoid it. The weapon crushed her organs, shattered her spine, and the shock from the blow stopped her heart. The mage fell to the ground in a withered heap, the flames continuing to consume her of their own accord.

There wasn't much to do or much to say in this situation. Jorkahn ran through the city towards the tower, he still wanted his horse. The place was beginning to burn, whether the stars from earlier that had streaked across the sky or the enemies they were fighting set them he did not know. He had expected more destruction in the wake of the SKC this time around, perhaps the defending side had done a better job than anyone had expected. He intended to keep it that way if he could.
Still running towards the tower.

Allyria spotted the winged horror as it was came at her with claws extended. She attempted to shoot it down with her crimson star cannon before it could reach her. Her left arm quickly charged up a shot and released it, spending almost all of the energy stored in the Mercurial Lampe. The silver amulet stopped thrumming with power as soon as the spell was fully charged and released. If the creature dodged the attack or she missed, she would be within melee range of the flying monstrosity, and would act accordingly, attempting to dodge its strikes with her precognitive skills and agility, as well as block with her scythe when able. Her counter attack would use wind magic to enhance it with the basic wind slash.
Though she was horrified by the scene around her, she had more pressing concerns. She had already been rendered into nothing by one of the denizens of the spectral realm. That outcome was not permissible to her.

Redgar had run out of what he called 'mental focus' to split between combat and commanding his troops. They had gotten the picture, whether they continued to follow the order was a different matter. Flanking had been effective, it had nearly taken away the advantage that the SKC troops had over the Morith Militia in that the former was no longer slaughtering the latter completely. But that would change. Peasants were peasants, and they had a hard time maintaining discipline in armed combat against a standing army.
Despite this Redgar focused on being an inspiration to his troops, an example of how to kill their foes. It did not occur to him that this wasn't particularly effective because none of his militia were riding wolves, and none of them had the arms or armor he had.
Still, he struck out at the enemy infantry around him, using pointed and direct strikes, he encouraged Baalrung to attack and dodge of the beasts own will, which coincided with Redgars. It was like they were one will.

Mina was pleased with the results of her spell, and with Tyr coming out of the influences of that other mage. She watched him kill her, with joy.
