Pillared Room
Through the door directly across from her there was nothing important to be seen. To the right there were two columns with lit torches on them, providing light for the first time in the catacombs since she entered. To her left were another pair of columns near the flanks of the room, which also had lit torches on them. These columns were purely decorative as they were set closely to the corners of the room. By general guessing it could be inferred that the room was about forty three meters long and twenty meters wide. At the far left of the room were two massive doors that were both new and intact. Between her and them were seven skeletons. Three of them were plain and normal, like the majority of the denizens of the catacombs she had come across thus far. The other four were warriors, armed and armored just like the four she had just defeated.

The Skeletons seemed to be unaware of her presence at the moment. She took the opportunity to steal the initiative and try to take down at least one of them. She chose the closest enemy, ran at it, swung the scythe hoping to cleave it in two from top to bottom, bringing the blade down at its head. Then she'd be prepared to dodge any retaliations that came her way.
This room was better lit, and the children took comfort in that, they moved inside and started to follow Allyria but quickly saw that she was engaging enemies. Lily grabbed Grayson by the arm, sort of jerking him backwards and pulling him towards the pillars in the back of the room.
"Kick their butts!"
"Yea!"

Allyria took the skeletons almost completely by surprise. The one that she assaulted couldn't get itself to move at all, not out of fear, or anything of that sort. It didn't feel fear. It hadn't noticed her at all. She moved so quickly and decisively that it was in pieces before anything else occurred. The others, however, reacted accordingly. The large, armored skeletons attacked, three of them surrounded her and swung their blades with abandon. One of them scored a hit, but the weapon bounced harmlessly off of Allyria's boot. The other weapons bit only air, and the air was no worse off for it.

The children cheered when one of the skeletons went down. They jumped and hollered. Excitement flowed through them. It was as if Allyria was invincible. She was their savior, how could she be anything else?
The skeleton's blades bounced off her armor harmlessly. Her flesh remained unbitten, uncut, from their weapons. It only galvanized her resolve to continue fighting. She attacked the three skeletons that assaulted her, one after the other, in sweeping slashes meant to take them apart at the neck. The scythe cut ruthless arcs through the air. Had her enemies been flesh they would have known fear.
These undead did not fear her. She did not fear them either, not anymore. Not after having butchered them easily.

As pathetic as the skeletons were in comparison, she tore them apart like childs play. Each of her attacks connected with her foe splendidly, shattering their bones and scattering them across the room. The other skeletons moved to surround her as well and they swung their broken and bent, rusted and worn, weapons at her with great fervor. But missed completely. Every single one of them. One missed so spectacularly that the weapon fell completely out of its hands. When it bent down to pick it up and swing again, the weapon flew backwards out of its hands again. Twice the skeleton disarmed itself. The children had every right to cheer. This contest was barely worth continuing. The undead's destruction was assured.

This fight had gone much more smoothly than the others before it. Perhaps she was getting stronger, and the practice and experience was improving her combat skills. The last three enemies fell easily, and Allyria was convinced these three would fall as well. There was now such a gap between her and them that she could foresee no other options. She did not even waste her time attempting to dodge the inept skeletons. They had become no more threatening than the children in the corner. With three more powerful and controlled slashes for her foes skulls, she expected to attain victory.
The children were full of boundless energy born from excitement. Their new guardian had dispatched her foes easily. They could barely contain their joy now, watching the last moments of the combat from the corner in trepidation. If there were seats for them to be perched upon, they'd be on the edges.

Skeletons -All Destroyed.
Allyria's assault destroyed the rest of the skeletons before they could make a counter attack on her. They shattered into bones, falling in the pile that consisted of their comrades. Now there was nothing between her and the thick doors that led out of the room. Only the children, Allyria, and the pillars remained standing. The dust settled and the lamps flickered. Allyria could do anything now.
Among the remains: -Bone x4 -Ritz: 14 -1 iron ingot.

Allyria had torn her foes to shreds. Her name was synonymous with the destruction of the undead. Every enemy had fallen before her strength, skill, and power. She marveled at herself. She had grown considerably since entering the underground.
Not only in battle prowess, but as a person.
She was not afraid of what horrors the dark held. She had realized upon finding Grayson and Lily that she could not afford to be afraid. As their guardian it was her responsibility to ensure their survival.
Allyria had done just that. Slaying the ghoul, these seven skeletons and the others. Those trials had now become the foundation of her resolve.
"Wow, Allyria! You're really strong!"
"You beat them to pieces!"
"I did, didn't I? I guess we have to find out what is behind that door over there."
"Yea! We're not afraid!"
"Yea!"
Allyria moved to the eastern side of the room, her Dungeon Dusters scraping the stone floor with confident strides. She felt taller as she approached the door. Placing her scythe against the doors she pushed inward, fearlessly moving into the next area. The children followed in her wake.

Dungeon Cleared! As Allyria passed through the threshold, a sense of completion would overcome her. The hallway led to a room much like the others before, stone, with blazing firelight. It was full of treasures, and a ladder leading upwards into the city of Sorath. She would be able to return here, and explore further if it was her wish. There were no monsters here. No skeletons cackling and ready to cut her to shreds. No blood could be spilled in this room. She was safe, and free.
