Allyria had finished looking into the creature's past and decided that it was about time to destroy it. She raised her left arm and fired off an arcane bolt for starters. If that missed or it wasn't enough to kill it then she'd close in and slash at it with her sword, and follow through with a stab towards it's spine. She wasn't playing games with this skeleton. She hadn't played games with any of them. But this time it was different.
Lily made it different.
Having a little person to protect made every single step that much more imperative.
No fuck ups now... I gotta do this right.
As Allyria made her moves to take down the skeleton warrior Lily watched from the corner with her eyes wide open. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Real magic. Real power. It was the most amazing thing she had ever seen. It wasn't scary from this angle. The multicolored stream of light that streaked from Allyria's hand was beautiful. Allyria made everything down here less scary. She made the skeletons seem like dolls.

The Skeleton warrior barely had time to get its shield up to block the incoming magical attack. The bright stream of color slammed into the already damaged shield. Splinters went flying, it was almost completely destroyed. Then the halfbreed closed in, the skeleton put what was left of its shield up to block the attack that was happening. The shield took it, but was destroyed. Her blade slid through it like paper, the wind tore at it and its bones scattered apart, shredded into splinters. What was left were a pair of Ritz, an iron ingot. Only one of the monstrosity's bones was left over intact. Perhaps it could be used. As if on cue, as soon as the fighting got loud a little boy peaked his head out from behind the the closed door behind lily. He saw the colors and the fighting and gasped. "Whoa..."He heard the bones shatter and hit the floor. He was awestruck. Junction at the end of the Hall:A thick rotted wooden door was at the end of the hall, opposite from where Grayson came in. It barely hung on its hinges, and could fall off of them at any moment.

She sifted through the shattered bones, finding the iron and the gold and the one piece that wasn't terribly broken. She pocketed the money, and put the other two objects in her bag. There was nothing else left that was intact enough to be worth anything. It just spoke to the sad state of this tomb. She checked behind her to make sure Lily was safe. What surprised her was the little boy that was standing there looking at her in awe.
"Grayson?"
"Grayson!"
"Lily!"
"Oh... ok then. Are we ready to go, cheleso? I'd like to get us out of here."
The two children were holding each other tightly laughing with joy. She gave them another moment and moved towards the end of the hallway. She checked the door that was falling apart, pushing on it with the tip of her sword as hard as she could to open it further. She expected the thing to just fall apart. If it did she'd peer around the corner of the door to check the hallway.
The two children now proceeded to follow her, hand in hand.

Vision:
Allyria's vision swam to a time and a place that seemed to be a mirror to her, upon later contemplation.
The skies were blood red, as if the rings that enveloped the equator of the planet filled the skies. Dark clouds slowly made their way across the red backdrop, towards the southwest.
Sitting atop a pile of freshly peeled skulls was a figure that appeared crazed. It was clearly a female from her stature and form. Long pure white hair draped over its shoulders. Whatever dark clothing it wore was slaked with blood. In its hands was a skull it was chewing on. It's eyes were bright red, and it had eight curved and sharp fangs. Its ears were pointed as well. Everything told Allyria that it was an Elkagr despite its obvious strange qualities. Below it on the ground, on their knees among the dead were about thirty followers. Those were Elkagr with no strange qualities. They all fit the general picture, green or blue eyes, blond hair, tall, fair skinned, with pointed ears.
"These savages are the best they have to offer? Pitiful."
"Please... Matrinex. Let us find others. I'm sure there are others that will offer a better challenge to your power." It was one of the lesser elkagr.
"Upstarts. Do as you will with them. If the million I've already crushed are any measure of them they're less than those animals, those... wyrms. Hahaha. What did they expect? We are power's greatest children. This world belongs to us. A million of them couldn't defeat ten of us."
"Immortals are soooo arrogant."
"Who dares?!"
"I do. Do you not know me? I stand all around you. You worship me with your actions yet you don't acknowledge me. I am not some child in a corner to be ignored."
"Oh. You're one of the lesser gods. Which are you? Vamerothan, that bloodthirsty shade? Hardly a creator now. We've all had enough of your types. Go back to whatever corner of the spectral realm you reside in, immaterial filth. This world belongs to the eldest kind."
"Oh?" The voice chuckled.
The elkagr below the pile of skulls were confused, standing around not sure who was speaking to their leader. Then one of them simply fell over, dead. It joined the millions of headless bodies. Atop the massive pile of skulls Matrinex shrieked. Sorrow, agony, grief. Those emotions struck Allyria powerfully.
Matrinex screamed. The others wailed. And the disembodied voice simply laughed.

Skeleton: -Choking Allyria: 2 turns until suffocated.
As Allyria poked her head around the corner she came face to face with a skeleton. It had its boney hands around her neck, squeezing as tightly as it could. It felt the warmth of her flesh, the smoothness of her skin, the contours of her windpipe. It pressed down on that windpipe with its thumbs. Jealousy burned within the core of the skeleton. Hatred. Rage. It wanted to be alive! It wanted to live! It couldn't, it was trapped. It raged against its fate. Down the hall there was an opening immediately next to the door she had just peeked her head around. Then down about ten meters further there was another door on the opposite end of the hall. There were two braziers, unlit, in the hallway. One across from the door she peeked from, and one after the door on the left side of the hall. "Hgkgkkk!"
Suddenly bony fingers were wrapped around her throat. She made a sound, but resisted the attack. Her legs stiffened up, and she did not allow herself to be pushed back. With her sword she thrust upwards to put the point of the weapon through the skeleton's skull. Allyria was afraid. Afraid that if she missed she would die, and then the skeleton would kill the children. That would be the worst.
Can't miss...! They'll die if I do!
With her other hand, at point blank range she fired off a pair of Arcane Bolts at the skeleton, hoping to at least do enough damage that it'll back off or be destroyed.
The children were confused, they couldn't see what was happening. Fear gripped them.

As the skeleton got its squeeze on it was met with stiff resistance from its would be victim. She put her sword through its head, but that wasn't enough to take it down outright. As bits of bone fell away and the blade pierced through the underside of the skull and through the top of it the creature kept up with its grip. Her first shot hit the wall at the back of the hallway, leaving a scorch mark where bits occasionally glowed or shined. Her second shot hit the vile skeleton squarely in the rib cage, burning straight through the spinal column. It fell apart and hit the floor. The skull remained stuck to her sword.

That was close... I almost died there...
Allyria was shaking off the fear she felt as soon as the monster collapsed. The air smelled like acrid smoke, and burning bone. Her first shot had clearly missed, a waste of energy. She regained her bearings and visually checked on the children. They seemed confused and scared but were alright. She remembered they couldn't see in the dark like she could. She coughed a bit, clearing her throat of imaginary debris. Being choked was among her least favorite things, especially by a skeleton.
"I'm here. I'm ok. Let's keep moving. Stay close behind me."
Decisions decisions. Which way to go. Right, left, or forward then right?
The children would follow behind her closely. Lily was worried about their new guardian. Grayson was not. He was optimistic. Being able to take down a skeleton in the dark? That was crazy! He wasn't aware that Allyria could see in the dark, but he still looked up to her prowess. And to fend off one that was choking you? Well he didn't that either. And neither did Lily. All Lily could feel was that her guardian was rattled by the latest encounter. All Grayson could think about was the magic and the colors and the bones hitting the floor. It was exciting!
Allyria headed towards the farthest path, keeping her distance from the area where the floor had collapsed. She peered down the hall there, looking for some indication that she was going the right way.

Inward Hallway A
This hallway featured not a lot. There was an unlit brazier across from a door that appeared to be stuck in place and rotted. Directly across from her, straight down the hallway, was what appeared to be a dead end beyond the door, but it could open into another room or something else. The brazier barely had any fuel in it. And it was completely dark down that hallway, just like the rest of them.

"Hmm... maybe the amulet will help? I've yet to actually use it."
Allyria pulled the amulet out of her clothing and held it towards her options. She strode towards the junction down the hallway and looked around the corner. Then she put the amulet slightly in that hallway, and then she put it in front of her. Quickly she turned around, watching it the whole time, to see what kind of reaction it had to the area behind her.
To go forward or back... Perhaps the stronger presence of... evil maybe? Not sure what it specifically detects... those wishing to do me harm? Perhaps the stronger presence of those wishing to do me harm is towards the exit? Every turn I've made has led me to one undead or another. It would be logical that I will encounter more on the way out, and fewer towards a dead end.
As Allyria logically came to her conclusion, the children sat there halfway down the hall to the junction with their backs against the wall quietly. They wanted to be out of there, they wanted to be free. But Allyria had to lead them out. They knew they couldn't do it themselves. Smart enough to know that she might need quiet, and definitely aware that the monsters will get them if they made too much noise, the children held hands quietly. Allyria wondered if they prayed. It was times like this that her belief in Azuloth comforted her. But there was no allowed religious practice for the humans. It was sad.
Julgrava takes every comfort from them...

Allyria failed to detect which direction had more enemies. She could not tell the difference between the intensity in which the amulet glowed when she moved it about. It would be up to her normal intuition then.

Fuck it, time for a snack.
The half-breed couldn't discern which direction had the greater amount of enemies. It was a poor logic anyway, she could have walked right into a trap. It was best to just keep going the way she was going, rule out everything. Though logically it would make sense that since she was turning inward she would be heading into one of the hallways she had previously been in. That is unless there was a staircase or a way out, or off this level around here.
She whipped a cookie out from one of her many pockets and shoved the whole thing into her mouth. She chewed it, it was so good. Chocolate was the best thing ever.
A little more energized, she continued straight down the hall, and when she came to the corner she looked around it like she had done so before so many times. Keeping one eye on the amulet, and another on the room as a whole.
She hoped it wasn't anything overly scary or something that she couldn't handle.
Her fingers tightened around her sword hilt.
The two children clung to each other nearby, having shuffled down the hallway with her as quietly as they could.

Central Room
The central room was devoid objects on the walls. There was a ruined but sadly empty and otherwise useless brazier on the floor by the far wall. There was some destroyed furniture as well. The wood was dry rotted, and there were cobwebs everywhere. If anything, spiders populated the room more than anything else.
Other than the spiders there was one skeleton standing idly in the center of the room, apparently staring off into space. It failed to notice the faint glowing light coming from around the corner and continued to play sentry. It couldn't possibly be guarding anything worthwhile. Or rather, whatever it had been guarding had long since passed into nothing.

Allyria spotted the stupid skeleton with ease. There it was standing there, just gawking at the wall.
Azuloth, it might as well have its finger up its nose.
She didn't miss a thing, striding straight up to the creature with her sword drawn, stopping just at two meters away, and throwing two wind slashes at the thing. With nearly a two meter reach between sword and her arm length, if the skeleton moved in on her, it would most likely get hit by either the first, or the follow up slash. She was willing to test her magical strength against this creature.
Hopefully she'd deal enough damage to at least stun the creature so she could finish it off. Allyria was more interested in the revenge on this skeleton, still working off the terror and near-death experience she had with the skeleton that tried to choke her.

Allyria managed to gain the element of surprise on the hapless skeleton. It only turned to look at her after it was spun around by the first hit it took to the neck. The second strike was superfluous but shattered the rib cage of the skeleton as it was falling apart. With all the bones that were falling apart around her it was a wonder that she hadn't made some wind chimes yet. There was nothing else of interest in the room. Chalk one up to a waste of space.

Well... that's one less undead to worry about... guess I'll just turn around.
Once again Allyria's intuition failed her. On the other hand, she gained some much needed combat experience for herself. She felt like she was a little rusty, despite her participation in the tournament. She sifted through the bones. Finding nothing but an oddly placed ritz among the wreckage she turned around and went back out into the hallway.
That was strange to find that coin there. Whelp, it is either make a left here and see what's down this hallway, or retrace my steps.
Allyria looked at the amulet once more, and then tried to feel what was the right way to go. Considering how well her sense of direction was treating her so far, she had mixed feelings about it. First she wound up down here. Second she ran into several skeletons and defeated them. Then she found some children. And now she's found a dead end.
The results are inconclusive.
