Grayson and Lily had gone to play in the old graveyard after the tournament had gone by. At eight and nine years old they were not allowed to go to the tournament by their parents. Their parents were also too poor to afford the entry fee. Perhaps next year. Sadly, as they were playing in the graveyard the ground opened up under them both as they were running through a part of the area they had never been before. The plant growth that had covered the hole broke under their weight and down the shaft they went. Sliding on stone into a square chamber. They disappeared in the dark. Was it mere happenstance then, that others had stumbled upon the hole in the ground that led to the lost chambers below? The shaft was steep and it was impossible to climb back up it once one was inside. They would have to find the exit on their own. If people built the place, then there was a way out. Dungeon Information:Story:-- Discover the whereabouts of Grayson and Lily. --Explore the Catacombs --Recover the Artifact. --Escape The Dungeon is Dark and Full of Monsters.--All monsters have an automatic fear rating of II (Fearsome) in addition to whatever fear rating they had before, provided the monster remains unseen but the player is aware that there is a monster in the room with them. --The Dungeons monsters are scaled to the average level among all players active in the dungeon. --The Dungeon is too dark for the eyes to adjust. There is a complete lack of light. As such, only lanterns, magic, Ultravision, and Dark Vision will be able to allow a character to navigate the dungeon. The Dangers in the DarkThe character, without a source of light/vision, may run into any number of these dangers. -Pitfalls (Character takes falling damage from falling into an area that is on a lower level than their own). -Monsters (Character literally bumps into a monster. A strength test determines if the character is knocked to the ground by the own momentum, and if they knock the monster over as well). -Walls (The character can bump into a wall, taking strength damage.) -There are no traps. Character Removal-Death (Your Player Character is removed from the dungeon if no resurrection options are available. For NPC's, this is permanent destruction. You have been warned.) -Finding the Exit. (Your character(s) have found the exit! After the tournament had ended. -Scarlet
Allyria, after the tournament, was still posing as Scarlet. She was cutting through the cemetery to enter the district of the city where her room was in the inn. She pushed through some bushes and then suddenly there was no ground beneath her. She fell into the hole, coming into contact with the hard stones of the shaft. Sliding down she pulled her boot blade free to try and slow herself down. That was unsuccessful. She finally came out of the shaft and landed in what appeared to be a dark room.
First, she checked herself for wounds. Other than a scrape or two her armor had protected her perfectly. Then she took inventory of her weapons and gear. Nothing had gone missing. Very good.
The half-drokagr looked around the room with her ultravision. She drew Bloody Evolution just in case there was something lurking around. Allyria was a little scared of what she had walked into.
The other part of her, the sorcerer in her, was hungry for this adventure. With the scythe in both of her hands she felt invincible.

The room Allyria found herself in was made of grey stone, and was roughly twenty four meters by twenty four meters. There was a rotted door opposite of her, roughly fifteen meters away. On either side of the door were unlit braziers. They appeared to still have some fuel in them. There was nothing else in the room.

Seeing that there was nothing in particular in the room to be afraid of, Allyria proceeded towards the obvious door on the other side. She stopped and smelled the braziers, noting that there was still fuel in them. Some other poor soul that wasn't watching where they were going might want to light those to find their way in the dark.
Otherwise they'd probably bump into the walls or something.
The door was nothing special. Rotting, made of wood, Allyria was surprised to see it still in place. There seemed to be just enough space for a child to fit through though. She put her head through, peeking into the next chamber. Praying that something didn't just cut her head off for taking a look. That would be one way for her adventures to end.

Allyria's Vision:
The quick brisk steps of a youngster reverberated off the walls of the catacombs. His older sister a few steps behind him, walking at a slower pace. The pair came to their third door and pushed it open together. The scraping noise was loud, and the wood creaked with the effort. The hinges popped, and dust shot out of them. Inside the two felt uneasy, until something grabbed Lily. She screamed Grayson threw himself at whatever it was that grabbed her, knocking it over. Hollow sounds filled the room when it hit the ground in the dark. Grayson grabbed his sister.
"Come on, we gotta go!"
This hallway that Allyria was entering was about seven meters wide, and quite long. It would appear to her that it turned at a forty five degree angle towards the right some distance down, and just before that was another unlit brazier. Several meters before that though was a two meter wide furrow in the flooring that would be troublesome. Had she not seen it she would have stumbled into it most certainly. Now however she could choose to jump across it, or carefully walk down it, then climb up it again, however the dirt was semi-moist and would give way from significant weight. It was maybe three feet deep. If she made it past the furrow in the ground the going down the hallway would be easy until perhaps the bend.

Well...
She never had to get this physical with trying to cross terrain before. There was a bit of a ditch in the hallway that she was about to go down. That was apparently the only direction she could go. Unfortunate, but she'd have to give it her best. Two meters wasn't too far to leap. She just had never had to rely on her own physical capabilities like this before. Her hands slipped Bloody Evolution back into its sheath so that she wouldn't hurt herself when she landed.
Landing was inevitable. It was the how of the landing that was up in the air.
B-dum tish.
She backed up a good few feet and then bolted as fast as she could with her semi-poor form. As soon as she came close to the edge she pushed off to leap across the trench.
It was only six feet.
She sailed through the air towards her destination. Landing was questionable.
Questionable, but she did it. She landed right on her feet, shaking with excitement and happy that she managed it. Allyria had half expected to fall flat on her face or land in the trench. She landed on her feet, like a cat.
"Ha ha... yes!"
A little pat on the back.

Now that she had managed to cross the gap she could proceed easily to the next area. She'd find that the hallway that turned off at the 45 degree angle was also empty, and would lead to another room. In that room once she arrived, on her immediate left would be another unlit brazier. On her right about seven meters up along that wall was another half opened door.
There was also a shambling figure in the room too. It didn't seem like there was much to the creature. As she'd notice she could see right through its torso. It was a skeleton, humanoid clearly. It was just standing there near the center of the large room, haphazardly holding a long rusted sword in its hand, and staring off emptily towards the back of the room.

Allyria proceeded down the angled hallway at a nice pace until she came upon the large room. Her eyes caught sight of the figure out of their corner. She stopped mid stride and looked over to it, examining it.
Azuloth... that's... that's a skeleton? Why is it just standing there?
She couldn't fathom a reason for that. Perhaps it was guarding something. Or perhaps it had been reanimated and its master died? Allyria had to admit that she didn't know hot necromancy worked, or if this was even necromancy. For all she knew it could be some kind of illusion or something. She didn't have the ability to recognize what was what in that vein of magic.
There was only one thing to do. Preemptive strike.
Allyria dashed at the thing and slashed at it's head with Bloody Evolution, charging the blade with additional wind magic, cutting out from the blade for a one, two, three punch once the aftershocks took effect.

The skeleton might as well have been picking its nose. Allyria managed to sneak up on the creature and lopped its head clean off with her scythe. It fell into a heap of bones, clattering loudly onto the floor. There was nothing salvageable, and the creature was not carrying a weapon. The only thing she gained out of it was the combat experience. The room was just as quiet after the attack as it was before. If she wanted she could move through the only door, half open, which was now behind her.

Allyria was curious about the skeleton. She had never seen one before, let alone one that stood seemingly under its own power. She went over to its remains and examined them thoughtfully. Most of the bones were intact, she had only done severe damage to the skull after all. But that was apparently enough to put it down, between the combined power of her weapon and the location of the hit it seemed. She poked and prodded and wrote down her discoveries in two languages in her journal.
There didn't seem to be anything unusual about the skeleton. No markings, no anything really. They were just bones. Perhaps she had imagined it. But the huge split in the skull and bone chips everywhere spoke otherwise.
Once that was done she'd gather herself up and go through the door. Only to find a decision in front of her. To go left, or to go right. She wanted to rely on her sense of direction to get her through to the end of the catacombs, but she was unskilled in that area. Mentally she flipped a coin and chose that direction. Still somewhat thinking about the skeleton.
She was dwelling on how unremarkable it was.
It just doesn't make any sense. How can there be no residual markings or anything out of place about the thing at all? It was moving. MOVING.

Allyria goes right. (pov:topdown:left)
To her right was another long hallway that seemed to end abruptly. However there were what appeared to be three spaces for doors on the right side of the hall. What was interesting about that was that there were no doors to be seen, nor the remains of doors. The door to this hallway was only slightly open, wide enough to peer through but not fit through, and its hinges were so heavily rusted that moving the door would create a great amount of noise. There were also two unlit braziers in this room. Neither had fuel.

It appeared as though the door was rusted in place. Though peering down the hallway on her right showed her nothing but an empty hall with burned out braziers, and three openings on the right she felt it might be worth the time to go down there and check it out. She didn't need the braziers to see. That much was clear. The air was cool and musty. It was stagnant. It seemed to her that no one had been down there in a long time, and that there had been no air flow. This made her nervous. Still the potential the openings presented was more than enough to venture forth.
Perhaps there is treasure to be found there...
She put Bloody Evolution in between the jamb and the door and used it as a lever to pry the door open. She knew with her meager arms she'd never be able to open it on her own.
No, use a tool instead. That's what a smart person would do. That's what I will do.
Though she tried with all of her might she still failed to force the door.
Azuloth... so weak I can't even open the door... I'm such a failure. Oh well. I'll go the other way then.
Allyria proceeded to the other door and peered down it, it too was already open, at least enough to see down. She lamented inside at her failure. Imagining heaping piles of gold just around those corners, or magical weapons and armor, or better yet. Piles of tomes.

The Left Hall
As Allyria would peak through the open space of the door she would find that the room she was staring into was about the same width of the one she was in currently, and almost twice as long. At the end of the hall was another opening, this one without a door at all. Between her and the opening were three skeletons shambling around quietly. They were awake and alert.

Fuck me sideways...
Allyria counted three skeletons. These ones weren't standing around idly though. She wasn't so lucky as that this time. They were shambling around the room absently as far as she could tell. Almost like they were patrolling. From what she could tell they were not armed. The bones were a sickly color grey and the eyes were empty and devoid of light entirely. One of them still had hair, and another had a little cloth barely hanging on to it.
Allyria slipped into the room, swallowed her fear and moved towards the nearest one, attempting to surprise it with the suddenness of her attack. She brought the scythe down at its neck from an angle, wielding it with both of her hands. Then once the stroke was over she put her arm out, open palm and fingers stretched as far as possible at the one that was farthest away. A magical blast shot forth from her arm at the monster, she had aimed to hit it squarely in the chest.
She hoped she would hit them both.
