Allyria suddenly carved a deep gash in the spine of the skeleton closest to her, it crumpled into a heap of bones at her very feet. As the other two turned, noticing her attack and entry the one farthest away caught her arcane bolt right in the chest. The magic burned and seared into the sternum of the undead but did not destroy it. Instead the two remaining skeletons approached her directly, swinging their fists and open palms to scratch her. Their attacks would miss however, as they attacked before she was within range, wasting their efforts. Still, they would continue to shamble forward, unhindered. Oh wow! Look at the pretty colors!
She thought as she hit the skeleton directly in the chest with her Arcane bolt. Her first instinct was to try the attack again, but the skeletons had closed in on her. Luckily they were so stupid as to attack before they even got to her, allowing her to take the initiative again. With her advantage in speed, which she perceived, she could easily dodge and attack them before they could get to her and cause any real damage.
With two hands she used Bloody Evolution, swinging a broad slash to catch both of the skeletons across their necks. Then she'd swing again coming back across from the opposite direction like a deadly pendulum. Each attack would likely hit both skeletons, finishing them off in a decisive blow.
Allyria didn't want to drag out a fight with these things. She didn't know what they were capable of, and though she wanted to learn she wanted to do it the safe way. Via dissection after the fact not by being their victim.

Order of Events: Allyria attacks! 1D100 => 69 MISS! 1D100 => 4 HIT!
Skeleton B Destroyed. Skeleton C Destroyed.
The skeletons approached her rapidly yet she swung her massive scythe at them. Maybe massive isn't the right word, but comparatively it was kind of huge. Anyway, she swung and the skeletons ducked. The skeletons, being a mischieveous and comical creature by nature depending on how they were brought into existence, cackled at her like someone told a hilarious joke. They didn't even see the weapon coming back, catching them across the cervical spine. They fell to the floor in heaps, their laughter unceremoniously interrupted. The room was quiet then. There was nothing usable left on the skeletons. No loot or other items of value. Skeleton A0%Skeleton B0%Skeleton C0%Allyria Gains 1 stat point. Vision:A little boy sat in a corner, crying quietly and still reeling from the horrors he and his sister encountered in the dark. Allyria saw him sitting there alone. The stones the same as the ones where she was. The air smelled the same, and the temperature was the same.

"Woo!"
Talk about success! Allyria's first swing missed the skeletons and they laughed at her. But her follow up took them down like they were nothing at all. Her face lit up and she set about examining the bones right there in the middle of the floor. Her first skeleton that she had destroyed she had done so by destroying the skull. Having been more careful this time around she managed to make them simply fall apart by hitting them on the neck. She examined each skeleton separately, trying to find out any information about them at all, or any kind of clue as to how they were animated. She was convinced it was some kind of magic. Things that are dead don't just reanimate naturally.
That's just silly... silly thought Allyria. The dead don't do this on their own. There must be something.

Hall to the South
There was an opening into another hallway to the south of her current position in the room she was in. To the west it would branch off immediately. The hallway was tight and long, twenty meters long and only two wide. At the end of the twenty meters was another door, this one was also partially open and would lead into a room east of the hall. Opposite the door was another hallway. This other hallway was twenty eight meters long and three wide. There was a brazier that was unlit about halfway down both of the hallways.
One armed skeleton patrolled the second hall.

"Hmmm. Nothing out of the ordinary. Let's try again."
She selected another skull and examined it. She turned it over and over, looking through the great hole at the base of the skull, and examining the eyes and the mount of the head. Then she started turning over the other bones. There must be something that indicated how the bones had become animated. Some kind of command rune or spell that was imprinted on them that told them to assemble and fight off intruders. That would make sense to her.
Then the rationale dawned on her. The why of it.
Perhaps the reason why I can't find the spell or command rune is because it's cleverly disguised... and perhaps these skeletons are acting as guardians is because there is something valuable down here. Maybe I should stop wasting my time...
Once she had finished examining the bones and taking any notes she could in her journal, Allyria would gather herself and continue on through the opening. There she found herself facing two paths. One longer hallway, and a hallway off to her immediate right. Either turn, or go straight.
She tried to use her instincts to determine which path she would take.

Allyria would find herself compelled to go to the right, to turn away from the hallway and head down the alternate route. As for her vision, the young halfbreed would see the following:
A little girl crying silently in a corner, looking up to rest her eyes on Allyria's own. Then the little girl would wimper in fear and scream as Allyria approaches.

Well... That was disturbing.
Let's check out this hallway over here. This probably leads to the exit. Definitely not the obvious route to take.
Allyria turned off to the hallway that branched off from the one she was standing in and cautiously proceeded down it. There seemed to be no light sources available in this one, nor were there any guardians like the skeletons she had fought before. That bothered her a little bit.
Ah... what the shit am I doing down here. Is this some kind of repentance for something I did. Azuloth, answer me. Is there something I did to deserve being stuck down here with the dead? Or maybe I am dead? Shit... how did I not realize this before? Possibly I am dead and I must navigate the dungeon here to find the afterlife. Yes.. that is it. If there is an afterlife. Must keep on fighting, lest I become like these guardians...
Oh who am I fucking kidding. This isn't death. This is just some hole in the ground where they buried a bunch of people. Hey look, the end of the hallway. Oh, another hallway!
Allyria peered down it.

And there in the hallway was a little girl, crying silently. Just like in the vision. At the end of it was a dead end. The little girl was all alone at the end of the hallway. There was nothing else there.
As for the half-breed's vision. She saw a room full of skeletons. Two of them were warriors, the other five of them were like those that she had encountered before. The warriors were armed and armored. What weapons they had were rusted, and what armor they had was clearly damaged. They were all standing in a neat little line a meter apart from each other in a well lit room made out of the same stone that surrounded her in these catacombs. The braziers burned brightly and were next to large stone pillars, of which there were four. Behind the skeletons was a large pair of doors, clearly rotted into place.
"Ahhhh! Don't hurt me!"

Oh shit... Come on, this can't be happening.
Allyria thought, pulling down her face mask.
"Shh shh shh! Don't cry. Come on, I'm not going to hurt you. See? I'm... well I'm half human?"
How does one convince a child that is clearly afraid of you to come with you? Especially when you're holding a scythe?
Not easily. Allyria felt the need to protect the child. There she was, sitting in the corner sobbing loudly now. The half-breed didn't know if the skeletons could hear, probably not, but just in case they could she wanted the kid to be quiet. Which was the opposite of what was happening. Crying can be very very loud. And very disturbing. Allyria didn't know what to do, she felt helpless to control the kid, and console the kid.
Really...
Maybe...
"Do you want a hug?"
No! NO! BAD ALLYRIA! That's not what the kid wants! You fool!

She had stopped sobbing to speak, only to start sobbing again. Her savior had come. At first her tears were of fear, and then they were of relief. Someone was here now to protect her.

"Ok ok... Come, we need to find the way out. What's your name?"
"Lily."
"I'm Allyria. Let's find a way out of here ok?"
"But Grayson!"
"Shhhh. Who is Grayson?"
"My little brother."
"Ok. We'll look for him too. Do you know where he is?"
"No. We ran into the... the... those things... and then we came out here together and then I lost him because I fell and let go of his hand."
"Ok... let's find him first."
-SNIFF- "Ok."
"But you have to be quiet, can you do that?"
Lily nodded. She held onto Allyria's hand and forced the half breed to put Bloody Evolution away. Instead she drew her sword, holding onto the improved arming sword. It had no magic in it, but Allyria still felt strong. She had to be, another life was depending on her now. She wasn't going to hold back anymore.
"I'm going to tell you something so you won't be afraid, Lily. I'm a sorceress... but I'm from Korasus."
The girl gasped!
"You're a drokagr?"
"Half."
"Does that mean you can see?"
"Yes."
Allyria felt the confidence through the way the little girl held her hand as they made their way down the hallway back to the main one and down that one as well. The Half-Breed took her time. When they came to the end of the hallway she noticed the splitting directions. She could go through the partially open door, or down the other hallway. Considering her luck lately with directions she thought it might be better to take a good look at things. She left Lily within arm's reach behind her, keeping the girl safe.
She peered down the open hallway first, to check things out. The door was so old and broken that it would make a great deal of noise if something as large as those skeletons tried to pass through it.

Around the corner she spied the skeleton that was walking back and forth down the hallway.
She could handle the door behind her once this fiend was taken care of. First thing was first. To immobilize the threat while she determined what its strengths and weaknesses were. Magic pulsed through her whole body, the tattoos on her body glowed slightly, giving off a purple light. From underneath the skeleton a bramble of crystal thorns would shoot up to bind it in place. They would of course hurt and squeeze on their enemy, like a noose that grew tighter the more one struggled.
It was her first time casting the spell, but she had worked it over in her mind before.
Then she began scanning the monstrosity. Her eyes focused on it intently. It's history and nature would be laid bare to her, she'd know exactly how strong it was and what its weaknesses were soon. Then she'd be able to kill it without incident.
At least she hoped so.
Azuloth... this better work. I'm not just praying for myself.
Lily was amazed at what her protector was doing. She could see the soft purple glow in the dark. It was amazing on its own that the woman could navigate in total darkness like she did, let alone do magic. She felt like she couldn't have been luckier. But she was curious as to what the woman was doing looking down into the corridor. Why would she use magic for that?

Suddenly the skeleton could proceed no further down the hallway on its patrol. Then it noticed the crystal thorns binding it in place. It made the next logical decision in the dark, swing at the thorns. Of course, in its haste it struck itself in the head. The idiot. It swung an additional two times at the thorns, missing both times out of carefulness. Allyria learned quite a bit about the creature during her scan, however. It was a malevolent spirit bound to the bone with necromantic magic, a thing with which she had no experience. Of course her previous attempts at discerning how the skeletal guardians were animated went unfulfilled. This particular warrior was a sentry, it's nature was that to sound alarms. If it escaped, it would surely alert others.
