Appearance:
Allyria is a short, half-drokagr woman. Her skin is gray like stone, and her eyes are grass green. She has short pointed ears, and does her white hair in a variety of styles. Sometimes up, sometimes down, sometimes both at the same time. Occasionally she dyes her hair, in keeping with Drokagr tradition for the rich or noble to do so. Her favorite colors for that task are dark red, or a forest green. Usually the woman wears exquisite clothing when out in public for official business. However, the half-drokagr scholar prefers to wear just a set of hand-me-down robes filled with pockets for all kinds of baubles and items. Her tattoos are usually covered, but they're traditional in her family. Power markings going from the palm of her left hand all the way to her left shoulder blade in black ink. On the opposite shoulder blade is her family crest. A zigzag that starts long at the top, and winds up to a point at the bottom, somewhere around her kidney. She has a smaller version of the tattoo on her right breast in the visible cleavage zone.
Being half-Drokagr, with slightly mutant genes, she has very pointed canines, though not to the point where one could confuse her for a vampire.
Personality:
Inquisitive and mouthy, Allyria's always getting herself into some kind of trouble. The lifestyle she lived in Korasus was one of instant gratification. She could ask for anything and it would be immediately available to her. Life was good for her there in the colony, and that influenced her by creating a worldview that there was nothing ever out of reach for her. The woman takes great pride in her work, and it is the sole exception to her desire to have everything at her fingertips. She understands that good craft comes at the price of time, material, money, and experience.
As a skilled herbalist she takes great pleasure in finding new plants and herbs to use for potions and poultices.
She is secretive about her discoveries though, and only shares them with the most trusted of friends, or her benefactors.
Allyria has a lot of trouble sleeping through the night. Her dreams usually are extremely vivid and occasionally come true.
History:
Allyria was born in the Drokagr land of Korasus. Korasus is a neutral colony within the traditional boundaries of the Sovereign Kingdom of Cruinthe founded by the Drow some ages before her birth. According to the locals, her family of half-breeds came to Korasus much later. She was the oldest of nine children, and was raised among the Drokagr as one of their own. From a young age she loved history and books, reading and writing, and learned to do so in both Cruic and Drokagr. She also learned how to conjure up gusts of wind and basic little miracles.
Her father, Lysil, taught her swordsmanship for the purposes of self defense. She never really picked it up like she did a book, but it was something else to learn, and she loved learning.
Once her childhood was over she began to prepare work as a cleric in the colony administrative building. She studied fervently under the head administrator there to help run the basic workings of the colony. When her love of history and historical texts became common knowledge the administrator, Kogora, sent her to the historiographer in the colony to study. There she learned a little bit about the world around her. The fact they were in the human corner of the world, where humanity was bound to stay or incur the wrath of the Empire of the High Born. She learned about the King Julgrava, who ruled over humanity, and that knowledge that she sought was forbidden.
It became apparent why she was sent to the historiographer. It was to dissuade her from her passion. She would not abide by it. When she went home after discovering this she told her father she was leaving for Cruinthe. An argument ensued. She was beaten. Several days later, still bruised, she snuck out of her home and across the border into the Duchies. Safe Cruinthian land.
No one pursued the stone gray scholar.
