Appearance: Guinevere's skin is somewhat pale from the lack of sunshine a Lady's skin would see, and free of most blemishes but a light splattering of freckles. Something which she hides with a light layer of makeup, she rather tends towards browns and oranges to paint her eyelids. The worst of her callouses are from the pen, rather than any kind of working tool or weapon. She tends to sit on the more frail side from lack of eating, as she finds eating to be something not terribly enjoyable (lack of sweets at her parent's behest growing up) or important over state matters. But her slight frame still lends to attractive and selective breeding, hips and a bust suited for bearing and raising children it would be even more so if she found eating enjoyable. Her features sharp, a side of the Elkagr blood in her lineage. Her waist length red hair is a family trait, but turned out much brighter than most of people in her family, were it tended to be a strawberry blond. She also was born with bright blue eyes, rather than the normal pale green ones of her family. Her clothes change often, along with the style of her hair.
Personality: Guinevere is a friendly, and cordial person. Some of this stemming from how she was taught to behave, but most of it comes from her nature. She is rather fine with pleasing people, and excels when things are left on a less personal, and professional manner. Hidden from the courts, and streets of the land is the smart-ass comments, and eye-rolling. Those things are left to her vivid imagination...and cuss words fit for a sailor stream along in her head, rather than aloud. Unless you cross against calling her Guin, t is corrected and even chided upon if one presumes to be that close to her. She does not suffer that foolishness, or any other asinine act made by another she will stand when her honor is being challenged. Guinevere is also very judgmental, but more stemming from the intuition her mind feeds her about each person she has met. It is short-sighted of her to assume a person's morals by their first impression, but she does. It's how she's managed to keep everyone at arm's length. Seeing, but never touching. She's not trusting, and counts herself on a pessimistic, but realistic viewpoint. This causes her a great fear and respect for the people she is over, she understands without them she has no power, no wealth, no lands, and certainly no title. This may come across as aloof, or even awkward to the commoners but she tries to do right by them.
History: Guinevere was born to the house of Nobles that ruled in Viktoria. Life was easy, and full of many riches. Or so it would be on the surface. Her family always had a small knack for magic, but a mage had not presented in the family for many generations. It just so happened that Guinevere would draw the unlucky card of becoming a mage in such a dangerous time for her skills. Rather than keep the child locked away at all times, she was kept n the eye of the public. Never an event missed, and any upset or show of her power was severely punished. Guinevere herself quickly learned how to lie, and how to hide any hint of mage like powers. But because of this she feared becoming seriously involved with anyone beyond the means of keeping up good appearances, and having the right connections. She feels she has never meant a 'real' person in her life. She finds the plight of the common person quite quaint. She's good a keeping and making friends, but just not real connections. Her gut also lead her away from most people, as she had learned to trust some of what these visions told her.
Though, to keep her powers from becoming out of control she had a few hired to teach (or forced before Julgrava could kill errant mages) her somewhat in the ways of channeling her magicks. But the focus kept a little more on keeping it hidden, dispelling was important in any case of her loss of control. It saved Guinevere and the Lyethe lots of trouble as she managed to keep control in any event of her magic missteps. Even as it came to ridding her family of those teachers, as they dared not let them survive.
Eventually they met a mage too powerful for the family to overcome. A real hardened criminal type that would have deserved the execution by the Lyethe family. The mage took the lives of all in her family, and left what he thought was a dead Guinevere behind. Obviously she was not, and life had to continue onwards. She was young to become City Mayor over Viktoria, but the people demanded it. Guinevere had always managed to be a public figure, and the rulings left to her (while family was away) were popular. She was very keen on what rulings would mean the best for her city. Guinevere was free from scandal, and kept herself pure in the public opinion. She was good at avoiding, and foreseeing trouble. Those hunches leading much into her style, but new found position of leadership.
