At first the ground would look very small to Jorkahn and Allyria. The wind was calm for just a beat, and then they began to enter free fall. As they entered free fall the wind began to tore past. The ground started to rise up to meet them. Allyria played another note on her flute, and they were suddenly much closer to the ground. Then another note, all the while making sure that Jorkahn held on to her. Finally they were within acceptable landing conditions to Allyria. It only took the span of three notes, but it was enough for them to have picked up great speed. Allyria landed on her feet, and rolled. Here in Mardok, some small distance from Tyr's hold. She had an idea of where it was when she transported them from Korasus, and corrected on the way down. It was the only way she knew how to get them there immediately.
"Well... here we are. No worse, no better. Rough landing for you Jorkahn? Town is over that way. Let's get moving. I've got a cure to convey."

It took a split second to register what he was looking at before the panic kicked in. Allyria would feel Jorkahn's hand tighten around her shoulder initially. It would tighten further on the second note before loosening slightly as the young warrior realized they weren't going to die. Jorkahn had mostly calmed by the time they hit the ground, however, his landing wasn't quite as graceful as his companion's. His feet hit the ground first and he broke away from Allyria as she rolled away from him. The heavy armor he was wearing would make this a bit more painful to him than to her. He threw his shoulder out and landed slightly on the back of it and rolled a few more times before coming to a stop.
The Champion of Jewels coughed up some blood, more from the disease than from his landing. Jorkahn checked himself over and realized nothing was broken, but his shoulder would likely bruise later. He stood and caught his breath before responding. "You could say that." Taking a moment to look around Jorkahn headed off towards the Castle and the Manufactory. If Tyr or anyone who could help were here, they would be in those locations. If for some reason they couldn't find anyone to help, he could always raid one of the warehouses and just make it up to Tyr later, but that was a last resort.
"Way ahead of you, My Lady!" The lad said jovially. He was limping slightly as he took the lead. "First the castle, that way if Tyr isn't in his Duchy at the moment it's more likely we can find one of his family members."

"I'll follow you then."
Allyria would stow her flute and other things on her pack and attempt to seem like a follower as much as possible. Of course, walking around in a big read cloak that had seen better days wearing a menacing mask was not quite as covert as anyone would like. Allyria wasn't an expert in that. She didn't know any better. She felt like a trespasser on someone else's land, even though she was with Jorkahn. She had not been invited.
Leaving direction up to Jorkahn. Tyr can join any time, among others.

The pair continued forward for a while. Any potential silence was broken by the sounds of construction and Jorkahn's occasional coughing fits. As they drew closer to the castle he turned his head to speak to Allyria. "Have you ever been to Mardok before? It's a great duchy, a very productive and kind people!" The young Mardocian Ritgr motioned to his surroundings. "It always seems My Liege is working towards something!" Sometimes he wondered if he was worthy of the trust that Tyr put in him. But he would keep that to himself, for now, no need to damper the mood. This dreaded disease was about to be cured!
The two passed by some ramparts and battlements under construction as they approached the castle gates. "Here we are!" Jorkahn would find the nearest guard or person of import he could. "Excuse me, do you know if the good Duke Mardok is in? If not could you direct me to one of his immediate family members?"

The crews rebuilding the outer castle walls paid little attention to Jorkahn and Allyria, a few giving cursory glances before continuing on. Tyr set hard deadlines but he paid them extra for it, and at least he didn't starve them if they 'weren't working at an inspired enough pace'. It would be the gate guards that first addressed them, but only because Jorkahn approached first. They recognized Jorkahn from the few times he'd been around previously, and understood his position in the Duchy.
"The Duke has yet to return from Morith, but Lady Nava is in the castle, along with the Duke's brother and sister." Privileged information normally, but again Jorkahn was a privileged lad here. "May we ask your companion's name to announce you?" They didn't get much chance to be 'proper' guards, and so any time they could indulge formalities with the Lady Mardok was a good time. Tyr wasn't partial to the ritualistic nature of things, but Nava enjoyed the political dance and all it entailed.

Jorkahn opened his mouth to answer the guard before thinking better of it. He paused and glanced back at Allyria. With her mask on and her red cloak, the young Ritgr was certain she was going for her Scarlet persona at this moment. The half-breed cleared his throat and turned back to the guards. "Her name is Scarlet. She may have a solution for the Hacklung problem plaguing the country." Jorkahn didn't say much more than that. He hoped that would put some spring in their step and reinforce the importance of their visit.
"Should we wait here for Lady Nava or can we follow you in?" He asked politely, he still wasn't entirely used to noble custom. He had no idea the tradition or formalities he was supposed to follow. May as well ask questions instead of making himself look like a fool from his assumptions.

During this exchange Allyria would stay silent. She was unwilling to give her name to these people without Tyr around simply because they may not know how much trouble they could land their master in if it got out that Allyria Allenmorde, Murderer, and so on, had visited his duchy. She didn't want to get innocents involved. Jorkahn had picked up on this, despite her not telling him. She hadn't expected to be questioned so soon, which was stupid. It's exactly what she would have done.
"I require an alchemy lab and materials to finish the potion. I ask only a dose for myself in exchange for leaving the alchemical formula behind."
She was confident the formula could work. And she was confident she could mix the materials back at her home. However, bringing Jorkahn there was not a good idea. Her county was more isolated, and the few cases they had were easy enough to quarantine. Mardok was larger, she was sure the town and surrounding villages were deeply infected with the red plague.

The first guard was prepared to lead the pair into the castle, introduce Jorkahn and the Lady Scarlet to the Mardok matriarch, and let them be on their way when Jorkahn mentioned a way to fix the disease killing nearly half the population of the country. Lady Scarlet confirmed her intentions quickly and the two guards shared a confused glance. On one hand they really should announce the pair and get proper authority to release the two to use the Duke's facilities and materials. On the other, they both knew Jorkahn, they knew Tyr, and most importantly they knew what Tyr would be doing right this moment.
The second guard turned on his heel and ran towards the castle. The first waved his halberd towards the Artificery and started walking at a brisk pace. "The Duke's lab is in that building, he normally keeps the materials locked up though in case someone gets up to devious things. I'll unlock it for you, and if you're needing anything that isn't there I can open the warehouse." The span of his words brought them halfway from the castle gate to the building itself, just a short stroll down the river towards town. They'd get there about the time the second guard reached Lady Nava and relayed the happenings to her.
Artificery and warehouse inventory are open, access to 20 of every plant, hundreds of leaves, and purified river water. Lab improvement gives +5 to the mixing of potions.

Jorkahn watched as one guard hightailed it towards the castle as the other led them towards the Artificery. Confused, the lad looked between them for a moment before quickly deciding to follow Allyria and the guard escorting them to the lab. He hoped Lady Nava wouldn't be too offended and understood them postponing formalities. After all, it would be rude to both Allyria and the guard to leave each other with a stranger they just met. Jorkahn knew his way around the duchy quite well, especially the Artificery. However, most importantly, he felt like shit and wanted a dose from the cure as soon as possible.
"Thank you kindly for your help, good sir. We will get to work immediately!" The half-breed turned to Allyria as they reached the door. "Anything I can help with?"

Allyria followed behind into the Artificery as quickly as she could. The structure itself was quite amazing. She was taking mental notes on it as she passed through so that she could enact them on her own keep. The dismal forge she had there, as well as laboratory weren't enough when compared to this. This was something special.
"Your master deserves high praise for this structure. I need Helixan, and Gladeria. Jorkahn, you can be my test subject. You need it most out of those present right now. Being on death's door."
Azuloth wasn't ready to take Jorkahn into his embrace. Allyria was sure of it. Or maybe she just wanted that for herself. As selfish as it was, she didn't want her friends to die.
Once furbished with the materials she'd go about the alchemical process. Grinding up the materials and mixing them, using her magic to aid the process. She mixed ten units of leaves with one unit of gladeria and one unit of Helixan to make a single potion.
The "Thaumaturgical-Alchemical Process" -Allyria has developed a way to stabilize the mixing process without the use of a laboratory. -Any potions Allyria attempts to make use the Laboratory formula. -MP Cost: 25 per potion
*Thaumaturgy Master, Alchemist I*
Thaumaturgy Master, Alchemist I, Herbalist I, Knowledge: 20+10+5+60= 95 _kzaRCdz
When she was finished she poured the mixture out of the bowl and into a flask. It was quite liquid, if a little thick. It's brownish green color was off putting, as was the smell. She went to Jorkahn and passed it to him.
"Here, drink it. Tell me if you feel better."

Jorkahn smiled. "He certainly does! I am nearly starting to get used to the sight myself." His eyes widened slightly at being her test subject. Hearing those words would take anybody by surprise, but he quickly remembered she had already made the cure for herself. "I feel I can still last a while lon-" The half-breed's body as if in protest of what he was about to say, rebelled against him and he began coughing loudly and uncontrollably. It took him a few moments to recover. He wiped the blood from his mouth and chuckled weakly.
"Perhaps you are correct." Jorkahn walked over towards the storage area and procured what Allyria needed to make the cure. When he returned to her and handed the ingredients over the young Ritgr took a step back and pressed his back against a wall. He was content to watch for now. He enjoyed seeing people perform their 'art'.
Jorkahn nodded his thanks as the flask was passed off and went to put it to his lips. The moment the scent hit his nose he paused. The lad pursed his lips and quickly downed the contents. It would have made him cough, but it seemed to immediately soothe his throat. However, the medicine did not stifle his gag reflex. "Gods that is disgusting!" He could feel the potion working almost immediately. The pain slowly faded and his breath returned to him.
"I feel better every passing moment! Thank you, My Lady! Should we make more? Or leave that for Tyr and his people?"

While the first guard assisted in acquiring materials and then proceeded to just watch the alchemy process in action, the second reached Lady Nava and announced the pair properly. It was a brief thing, pageantry was shortly lost when the hacklung cure was mentioned, and by the time Jorkahn was testing out the first dose Tyr's mother reached the doors of the Artificery. Composing herself briefly, the lady motioned to the guard and the doors were opened. She strolled in as the picture of grace, a walk practiced for decades, and inspected the on-goings a moment before speaking.
"Countess Allyria, it is good to see you well. My son informed me about the Kingdom's actions against your tavern in Sorath, we have worried for you and your's." Tyr's trip to report to Palejaw hadn't made things any better no doubt, and there was concern his attempts at being pliable but still concealing had yet caused damage all the same. Nava turned to Jorkahn next, having given him some more time to recover after taking the cure. "Jorkahn, a pleasure to see you again. It would seem you have brought some hope back with you."

"Lady Nava, I appreciate your welcome. I was never here. I am traveling under the guise of Scarlet Shadeslayer. I do not wish to bring to your home what befell mine. They were lucky they all made it out with their bodies intact."
Allyria bowed deeply to the former Duchess, affording her the respect and dignity her station deserved. She had no real reaction to Jorkahn's comments on the cure. She took mental notes that it was working, that it tasted horrible, and that he was feeling better. She expected his eagerness to distribute the cure was earnest. However, Allyria had no intention of making more herself. Tyr's artificery was astounding and she wanted to examine it. Besides, Jorkahn said there were people to carry out such a task.
"I'm leaving the formula for the cure here, Lady Nava. I trust Duke Mardok's men can replicate it, for it is simple."

Jorkahn fixed his posture as Lady Nava entered the room. When she said Allyria's name out loud he stiffened and glanced between the two. Was she supposed to know that? The young Ritgr's nervousness turned to anger, which he hid well, at the mention of the kingdom attacking her Tavern. The warrior would have spat were he in less noble company. Jorkahn's eyes widened and he bowed politely when addressed.
"The pleasure is all mine, Lady Nava. Most of the credit goes to Lady Allyria, I am afraid! I merely accompanied her. Alas, the disease made quite the burden out of me." The lad smiled, indicating that his self-deprecation was mostly meant as a joke. "As for the cure, is there a way I can help your people produce it, Lady Nava? Or perhaps you have another task for me?" He wanted to be more useful than he had been in the mission to acquire the cure. While he was quite proud of helping Allyria, he felt he could still do more.

The Lady waved a hand at 'Scarlet's comments and gave a traditional slight bow in response to a fellow member of the nobility. "Not to worry Scarlet, although it is appreciated. If my son's men cannot replicate it, I am certain he will teach them how himself." Exceptionally drive he was, trying to find a cure for the disease had kept him busy quite a while. Especially while endeavoring to keep his family and cousins alive through it to the best of his ability. If Lady Nava never had to drink a healing tonic again, it would be too soon.
As for Jorkahn, Nava wasn't quite sure how to act. Tyr had explained the younger man's title and general responsibilities, but that was out of Nava's hands for the most part. "I cannot say I have a task for you, and the Duke did not leave instructions, I am sorry. However, I do not believe anyone would stop you from assisting in curing this nation of what ails it." She herself did not know exactly who would be making it. Tyr had been talking for some time about starting up a guild of alchemists, they seemed most likely to accomplish such a task. Jorkahn however would have to find those men on his own if he wished to participate, or perhaps...
Nava clapped her hands twice and the guard outside the door stepped in quickly before he could even be called. "Gua-Ahh yes. Hulrich, would you kindly escort this young man to the Guild Hall when he is finished here?" The guardsmen gave a clean salute then stepped outside. He would wait for Jorkahn to be finished as per instructions, then lead him on his way. "Is there anything else I might assist you both with?"
