A thousand cavalry sat atop their horses ready for battle. The small hours of the morning had already given way to dawn and day. It was time to start closing the gaps around his land, and expanding further. The income from Corday had been nice. But if Henri or some half breed heir of his came knocking to lay claim, Redgar would give it up. He planned on expanding I his influence of control from his own ancestral lands all the way to morith.

If the ambush on the enemy leadership went well, then there wouldn't be much of a fight. If it didnt, then Redgar and his men would waste every bandit that dare to claim control over this country.

Regarding and company failed to locate the enemy camp and their leadership in their first sweep. This wasn't a major setback. He expected that they might be holed up in a cave somewhere along the Kushfires. Since they were not out in the open and not hold up in a village, that was most likely. Closing this gap was important though. He didn't need an enemy slipping into his territory from the side. The Kushfires provided provided a strong bulwark against his enemies in the west. He needed to attain. Control of that bulwark.

Unfortunately Redgar could not move beyond his initial camp after the first sweep. He was bedridden for a day fighting the hacklung. His men set up camp and set a picket line like he had taught them.
