"Oh its a few short miles away as the harpy flies, miss. But there's this huge fucking mountain in the way. We can either go around it or through it."
"Watch your fucking mouth, she's a lady."
"Watch my mouth? Watch your mouth you little shit."
"Didn't look so little to your mother last night."
"Oh you're reaching. You're reaching like a man with tiny, tiny hands."
"I'm going to skin you when we get back to camp. Make a nice hat. Present you to the sergeant. He might like it."
"Bullshit. You're about as good with a pair of scissors as your sister is at flying."
"Jokes on you! I don't have a sister, mate!"
"I'm not your mate, pal!"
"I'm not your pal, buddy!"
"I'm not your buddy, guy!"
"I'm not your guy, friend!"
"Dammit. I am your friend."
Couple rounds until the crossroads.

The Guardian Corps. Trooper's answer to her question concerned her. Going through the mountain would be preferable to the likes of her and her bodyguard. Being underground would provide no hindrance and it was likely faster than going around the mountain. However, their protectors would have issues guarding them in the dark.
Thrawn seemed concerned about the exchange between Merrake and the male. She felt it was necessary to explain.
"Drokagr society is divided into several castes I guess. It's hard to explain. Korasus has its quirks like every colony. Kalimbra are a Korasuan thing. She was just making sure he knew his place in regards to that. I don't think you'd find our culture very kind towards his gender."

If you want to meet people, go to Innorsford. If you want to make connections, go to Innorsford. If you need coin, go to Innorsford. He had gotten the idea rather quick, but he was not sure of his companion's motives. Was there something or someone waiting for him here? Was this his home? Or did he just genuinely have such a high opinion of the place? Xyn was not sure, but it didn't really matter now as he was already here and Torig was still in his employ.
This was a Guardian Corps mission that Torig had managed to get them into, a chance to show his usefulness to an audience that could actually make use of his talents. An audition of sorts that could get him started towards actually making the allies and coin that his personal mission called for. It took some work to catch up with everyone, but soon enough they did. It was nearly impossible to miss them once they were close as they were yelling like a bunch of idiots, they wouldn't be sneaking up on anyone like that, but it made certain the he and Torig did not miss the group.
He announced his presence, "Sorry I am being late, we just arrived in area and were not expecting work so quickly. I am Xyn Huy and this is Torig, we are here to assist in any way that we can."
Torig looked to his employer then to the rest of those present, "Well, he is here to assist in any way that he can. I am here to make sure that the person paying my salary lives to continue paying my salary." He turned and addressed Xyn, "Doesn't matter the cause, if I have to draw my blade in combat, you still gotta pay my fee."
"Very well, stay back unless you are needed then." Facing the rest of the group, "my apologies for my companion, his manners are not so good. Also, you guys are very loud, from my understanding of the mission, we might need to avoid drawing attention to ourselves."

Thrawn couldn't help but laugh at the bickering between the two soldiers. It almost distracted him from Fyrra's explanation of the caste system. It was really strange to Thrawn considering the society he's from. He wanted to make a note of what he had learned about Drokagr society but he doubted that it was a good time to be rummaging through his bag for his notebook. "You're just in time, I think we're close" Thrawn said When the new people arrived waving at them. They looked foreign and his curiosity was immediately sparked, he had never met an Anasi before. "You're right, we should keep it down, best to avoid getting into a fight when we don't know what we're up against."

So two more had appeared, the first being another human by the looks of things, he was odd however as he seemed quite different from Thrawn, leading Kell to decide he was likely some other breed of human, one he'd not encountered before which was interesting. With this human came another, this one looking much more the warrior, from the speech it was clear to tell that this second man was some sort of hired bodyguard, if he was bound by the lure of money then he wouldn't be the most reliable of guards. He'd have to watch out for this one, he'd likely protect his employer but Kell had no idea where his loyalty ended and that was an unknown that wasn't needed in a mission where already there were too many.
Still, he was fairly confident in his ability to at the least escape, he'd escaped a blackrock crow, after that surely he could survive some mountain bandits. At the thought of the crows an involuntary shiver worked its way down his spine, that was not an experience he wanted to repeat, and yet it was likely at some point he'd have to if he planned to clean up the area to the east of his home. Either way for now it was a moot point, he just needed to focus on the task at hand, the newcomer made a very good point on their noise, not that he was making much of it he was just going to remain nice and quiet.

East Darthaks, Kel'Alee Crossing, Crossroads
"Whelp, here we are. If we go left down this trail we'll reach the cave network that will take us to about where we should be to find the missing supplies. To the right is the trail that will lead us up the mountain and down the other side. Once again we'll arrive roughly where we need to be. Both paths are difficult, but the original team never made it to either path, we've looked. So it's just a matter of preference. Both will take us about the same time.
Chad relayed this to the group in a calm manner. Neither he nor the other soldier had an opinion on the decision. If asked, they would shrug and defer to the group as a whole. Democracy at work.
The team will be transported to the path that they choose as a group. The Guardian Corps. troops will not allow anyone to split up. Character should express their opinions outloud. NPC's will count towards the group tally. Each section features its own unique dangers.
Each path is three traveling rounds long. Each round will have a challenge. These challenges are listed below.
Underground -The Maze -The Battle -The Bath
Mountain Pass -The Climb -The Chasm -The Fall

Once Chad was done talking Fyrra only had to look at Merrake to know what she was thinking. The bodyguard would be more comfortable underground. Especially with the ever increasing amount of males around them. There was a new type of human they had never seen before, and though they were curious to ask him many questions about what Xyn Huy's life was like and what his homeland was like, this was not the time. There was danger right around the corner, and they had a mission to complete. The Kalimbra made a mental note to ask the new human about themselves when things were safe.
Merrake made a mental note of two more potential threats to the Kalimbra. She did not know these men, and while one was clean and well kept, the other was obviously a gruff mercenary. Ergo he was devoted to money, and greed was his illness. She did not trust the mercenary at all.
With this in mind, Fyrra knew what Merrake would want.
"We would prefer to go through the tunnels. Though if the group prefers the mountain pass we will acquiesce."

"Neither me nor my companion have means of seeing in the dark of caves. I not too familiar with the Drokagr, but seem to recall some of your kin have means to see in pitch darkness? If in possession of such capabilities, may be most expeditious to go through tunnels below. That is my vote." He didn't know about placing such trust in a complete stranger, but all he had in this land were strangers aside from Torig, but Torig was there for the coin not out of companionship or anything of the sort.
"I go where he goes, but I'm for draggin' his ass up the mountain trail. I ain't about traipsing through some caves in the dark, I don't care if someone can see if that someone ain't me. He's the boss though so I'll just go with me obstainin' from votin'."

"I got a lantern that could help us navigate through the caves if that helps," Thrawn said with a shrug. "Besides if anyone can navigate a group of humans through some dark tunnels it's those two, trust me they've had practice," he added gesturing at Fyrra and Merrake with his thumb.
While Thrawn was not exactly happy going through dark caves, but his trip through the catacombs in Sorath had prepared him for what's ahead.

Over or through, both would have their own challenges he was sure but they had to pick one, he could see in complete darkness so the idea of going through didn't hold so much fear, it was more the idea of what potentially could be lurking in that darkness that bothered him. With the two guardian corps members and their combined might however surely it couldn't be that bad right? Over would be acceptable also but they were much more visible out in the open on the top which could end badly if they weren't too careful, there could be anything up there also and it'd also take longer.
The mercenary acted accordingly, the two female Drokagr voted to go through and Thrawn spoke up about posessing a lantern, it wasn't perfect but it'd allow the humans to see at least so they wouldn't be bumbling about in the dark. "I'll vote through also."

Underground: The Maze:
The Guardian Corps. Glaive troopers would lead the group towards the underground. Again, one in the front, one in the back. After a few meters it would become apparent that a light source was necessary, assuming one of the members of the expeditionary force provided the light of a lantern or other magical source of light, the path along should have been normal for an underground maze. Winding tunnels going this way and that and doubling back the other direction. A few pitfalls that could take a life or render one lost for hours. However, it was almost like the maze was working against them. Each of them became separated by one mechanism or another. A cave in separated the group from Chad. A floor collapse separated the group from the other trooper. Fyrra became separated by misplaced footing, sliding down an embankment, luckily avoiding several sharp rocks. Merrake became separated from the others by taking just a second to retie her boots, but when she looked up everyone was gone. Thrawn got lost looking for Merrake and Fyrra. Kell lost the group deciding to proceed down a section that Torig would not go. Torig and Xyn got separated due to the dark.
Yet Fyrra, Merrake, Xyn and Kell all showed up at the end of the maze area before a large cavern at about the same time. Torig and Thrawn met up in the darkness when Torig spotted his lantern, they then made it on their own to the end of the maze reuniting with the rest of the team. The two soldiers showed up nearly an hour later, bruised and scratched, but no worse off than that. Chad arrived a handful of minutes after Tim.
"Glad to see everyone's in one piece!"

"I didn't think we'd make it. Those tunnels were so windy and long."
-"When you slid down that embankment I thought my heart had stopped. I am glad you're no worse for it."-
-"Just a few scrapes and bruises. But I'm alright."- Then, Fyrra said to the others. "Does anyone need healing?"
If there were no hands raised she would nod to herself and take stock of the space they were in. It was a large cavern, and it appeared as though it was a space they could rest in for now. Everyone had returned, though it took two hours for the soldiers to come back. The male Drokagr, Fyrra had forgotten his name, and Merrake hadn't bothered to try to remember it, had arrived at the same time they had. The foreign man with the strange way of speaking did as well. His companion arrived with theirs, Thrawn, they had only been an hour behind.
"What next?"
Fyrra said, if no one indicated they needed healing, looking to move on to the objective and get home safely. They had been lucky so far.

"How come every time I go adventuring with you two we end up lost in some underground complex?" Thrawn said exasperated when he was reunited with his friends.
The Darthaki was not particularly fond of the dark or tight spaces for that matter. Fortunately everyone else seemed to arrive at the exit of the maze no worse for ware.
"At there wasn't any skeletons this time." he grumbled some more and waited for further instructions.

The maze was simple going for him, there were no issues with sight for him and so he could walk it as confidently as he would in daytime, there were a few moments where he became unsure of the path to take but each he managed to negotiate well enough, or so he thought. It seemed apparent that he had been right when he came out of the maze of passages with very little trouble, near enough at the same time as the other two Drokagr and the latest human to join their expedition.
The Drokagr were out of the picture completely, one was a Kalimbra and the other her bodyguard, neither were likely to converse with him much more was necessary, and the human that had arrived at approximately the same time he hadn't gotten much of a feel of either. It seemed that Thrawn had gotten missing, as had the mercenary and thetwo guardian corps members that were supposed to be escorting them.
All turned up eventually, although the two soldiers were the last, both looked as if they'd been slightly roughed up by the experience but overall seemed fine, it was just as well as if they'd lost anyone this early on then that would set quite a bad tone for the rest of their endeavour.
