The Small Hall
The girls kick broke the rusted lock, the door opened up and hit the wall. It was wide open. There was another door eleven meters down the hall, but the hall continued for a few more meters into a dead end. The door at the end of the hall was wooden. The hallway was only a meter wide. Not enough space for two people to walk in tandem. There was nothing out of the ordinary in the hall. As always, it was silent. The evil aura was still coming from the wooden door.

After a few moments of looking around Jorkahn would glance back to see Allyria kicking open the door. She made it look easy, he was impressed. Then again he had a good idea of just how strong the Countess was. The Champion of Jewels walked over to the open door and looked over his companion's shoulder down the hallway. The young mage sensed the ominous magic coming from down the hallway, the source was likely behind that wooden door. It was a tight fit and he was worried that something may charge them down the hallway. The warrior pulled out his shield and held his weapon in his right hand.
He pointed down the hallway and lifted his shield while looking at the Shadeslayer. If she let him pass he would begin to advance towards the wooden door, shield raised and weapon pointed forward.

Allyria was surprised at her own strength. Some days she can't lift a wet noodle, today it seemed like she could kick in an ancient iron door like it was nothing. Perhaps she should try kicking in more things, as opposed to pushing on them, or slamming into them? It was a thought she entertained for but a moment, while Jorkahn moved past her and into the hallway. She would let him take the lead, he had the shield after all. As she'd follow him down the hall, she kept checking behind them to make sure they weren't being sneaked upon. That would probably be the worst possible thing to happen, being ambushed from behind while engaging enemies to the front.

The Small Hall
Nothing had changed since they had proceeded into the small hall, other than Jorkahn moving several meters inside, followed by Allyria.
Monster movement complete.

Jorkahn kept his attention focused on the door ahead quite certain his partner would alert him if something were to attack from behind. His pace was fast but cautious. He didn't want to linger too long, but he kept an eye out for traps or changes in the room. When they reached the door the Champion would first check for traps. If he didn't see anything out of the ordinary he would try opening it to see if it was locked. If it were locked, well then it was time to bash it down. It was a rickety old wooden door, it wouldn't be that hard, right?

Allyria checked on Jorkahn again and found that he was gearing up for a kick. When he began the motion she instinctually turned to check the hall again, making sure that no one was there to hear. It was a stupid reflex. No one would hear anything. In any other situation it'd be a valid concern. The silence here was deafening, but perhaps she was getting used to it. It didn't unnerve her like before. After she checked behind them she looked to see his results. It appeared as though he had made good contact on the door. That would save time. They didn't have the key. That didn't need to be a set back. They were making it through strength alone.
She was proud of this little team at this moment. Jorkahn had been invaluable on this little trip. He was a reliable young man. Perhaps Tyr saw that in him, rather than his potential for magic. Which reminded her to teach him a few more useful things.
It was about that moment when she checked over her shoulder again.

The Small Hall
As Jorkahn's foot came into contact with the wood it splintered into a thousand marvelous pieces revealing yet another hallway. This one seemed to have a door on the right side near the end, and a left turn that would lead into another space. Allyria would barely spot what appeared to be another brawler coming around the corner into the hallway that Jorkahn and her were occupying. There wasn't enough room for the two to maneuver around each other, the hallway was only three feet wide. Hardly enough room for one person to stand in place, let alone swing a weapon.
The brawler gestured at Allyria that he was going to cut her throat.

The Champion of Jewels looked back for a brief moment just in time for him to witness the Brawler's taunt. He could pull out his bow, or maybe level his weapon towards the other man from Allyria's side. Maybe the fool would run straight into the pointy end and that would be that? He trusted his companion to be able to handle herself, however, and decided against any aggressive action. Instead, the young half-breed cautiously pushed forward down the hall. He would attempt to make his way towards the end where the hall turned left. Maybe there was a better place to fight. Though his weapon was well suited to closed spaces, he imagined Ms. Allenmorde's scythe was a bit more limited. He lowered his shield slightly to peer around the corner of the hall to the left.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw someone gesture at her. She turned her head and saw the brawler at the end of the small hallway. Jorkahn was facing forward, and it would only be a couple of heartbeats before the brawler was on top of her swinging its weapons with unholy fervor.
Fuck.
If she fired off her star cannon spell it would just destroy their way out. They'd be trapped inside the temple presumably. That was no good. The less powerful arcane bolt spell didn't have enough oomph to destroy the brawler all the way over there. She'd have to let him get in closer to use the Glass Shot spell. These tight quarters were perfect for that spell. For the time being she'd put her scythe away and hold her position. Trying to ambush from around the doorway where Jorkahn was would be too dangerous. She was here already, and she had the magical power to take the bastard down, might as well do it here and let Jorkahn handle anything that was in front of them.
She made a rude gesture at the brawler, implying that he should teach his grandmother to suck eggs.

The Brawlers crowded into the tight hallway, unamused and unfazed by Allyria's rude gesture. The first one to fight her swung his sword as soon as he reached melee range, but the blade never bit into her flesh. He swung too early and missed her entirely. In these tight quarters he would be hard pressed to continue to miss however, if he lived. The others pushed in behind him, eager to get their chance at the mage or the fighter.
At the corner where Jorkahn peered around his shield he'd find three doors down the hall after the left. One door immediately on his right. All doors were closed. The new hallway was eleven meters long. At the end of it was a closed door. Two meters before that on either side was a closed door each.

Jorkahn cursed under his breath but no sound came out. There wasn't anything around the corner but more hallway and doors. He tried the door immediately on his right to see if it was open. If it wasn't the young warrior would attempt to bash it open with his shield. While fighting the brawlers one at a time may be smarter, they seemed to become more ferocious the longer they thought. Killing them quickly was, therefore, the best option. Maybe an open room would await them on the other side?

I don't really have a spell for this...
Allyria considered what she had in her library of spells. Arcane bolt was too weak to phase these guys. It'd hurt, but she'd wind up spending more energy than it was worth. There wasn't enough room to swing the scythe around like she'd want to with Wind Slash. Glass shot would turn the closest guy into giblets, but the others would largely be unaffected, ergo it was a huge energy sink. Being indoors was not conducive to Arcane rain, and she already fucked things up with her Crimson Star Cannon.
Glass Shot it is...
She had easily dodged the first attack that came at her. More like it missed her out of incompetence. She had barely even moved, and wasn't sure she needed to. Instead of dwelling on it too much she raised her palm and fired a barrage of magical shards of crystal at the brawler in front of her. If he dropped, she'd have to think of something else.
The sorceress considered her situation. Dreaming up a spell that would take care of this issue was imperative now.

Though Allyria had easily rendered the first brawler a bloody mess with her spell, the one behind him did not waste any time burying his weapons in her face and shoulder. The blades would cut through her armor easily, leaving bleeding wounds and dishing out grievous pain. Her senses would be muddled from the steel that cut her face. Who knew if she would survive these horrible wounds. The follow up strikes from the brawler missed entirely, perhaps as Allyria reeled backwards or perhaps because the brawler was too excited and did not aim his strikes.
Jorkahn would easily break down the door on the second attempt. What he found was a room full of six foot high oak casks, some of them in good condition on his right. On his left was a pile of ruined casks and a pair of ghouls staring at him. They seemed to be aware of his presence and were shifting into stances to attack. He only had heartbeats to prepare his defense.

Well, that's no good. The door was opened and the young half-breed had stepped into the room. It turns out his strategy had failed only serving to deepen the shit they were metaphorically stuck in. He was too focused on the ghouls in front of him to notice that Allyria had been struck in the face or that she had obliterated one of the Brawlers. He would have to handle the two ghouls in front so she wasn't struck from behind.
The Champion assumed the ghouls would immediately attack so he prepared his defences. Jorkahn's mind immediately entered into a hyper-focused state in an attempt to block any incoming attacks. He would then follow up with a special technique he could only use in this hyper-focused state. With skill and a bit of luck, he could catch one of the ghouls off guard and cleave it in twain.

Oh shit not the face!!
Her scream was silent.
Allyria got hit in the face, then in the shoulder. It was awful. Blood was pouring out of her face wound. Her shoulder was oozing as well. But she had to retaliate, she couldn't just let them attack her. No, she had to attack back. This time the spell wouldn't avail her. It wasn't ready yet. She had to go about this a different way.
She raised her scythe and slashed it back and forth as if she were reaping a tall grass. After the two strikes she made attempts to dodge any incoming blows and raised her shield up to protect herself. These enemies were getting stronger the longer this went on.
Hurry up, Jorkahn.
