Remy had found himself in charge of the countess Allenmorde's operations in Sorath while she was gone. He had followed her wishes to the letter so far, not wanting to deviate from her plans and at the same time wanting to impress her with his ability to be loyal and follow instructions. There would be another time to assume his own command over things. It was important to establish himself as reliable first, then creative. He could handle it. That morning he got up, bathed, dressed, and went over to the tavern to meet the construction company. They began work as soon as he found the key and let them into the building. The floors were all being replaced, several walls were being knocked down and moved several feet. In all it would be quite the noisy ordeal. Her instructions were fully written out.
She wanted an entryway that would allow guests to be controlled as they entered. Those with memberships would be shown to the second floor for their dining and club experience, those without would be shown the door they came in through. The entry hall would facilitate access to the kitchen and store room.
On the second floor would be the bar where food and drink would be distributed from. Food from the kitchen would be brought up from a back stair to the bar.
The tables in the main club room were at shin level. There was a stage to be built for music and a Kalimbra, whatever that was. The rest of the first and second floor were to be staff only-areas. Overnight Rooms and the bath were to go on the third floor. More storage would go in the cellar. There were some other things the countess wanted, such as a certain type of decor to be prevalent, and a variety of Drokagr foods available. That was after general renovation though. Things he would need artisans for, and someone that knew trade networks.

Tarn's men arrived at the job on time. They worked until noon, broke for lunch, then went back to work until sundown. They worked diligently, we're mindful, and corrected any mistakes that were made as soon as possible. Tarn's foreman followed Remy's instructions which were relayed to his men and skaldi.
Construction was finished on the 8th of Heultrios.

Fyrra and Merrake had passed by the tavern while it was under renovations several times. The Kalimbra was pleased with the progress, and it wasn't even her property. On the 8th when it was apparently complete she stopped by again with her bodyguard. She rapped her knuckles on the front door. It was about noon.
-"Do you think there's anyone here?"-
-"No. It is probably too early for the Hanneth to be here."-
-"I would like to see the inside. The outside is gorgeous. The countess should be happy with it. The guild wants me to inspect it though."-
-"Yes. I remember. Some sort of licensing thing."-
-"Let's wait a few minutes. Maybe someone will come let us in."-
Merrake nodded. There was no harm in waiting for a few more minutes. She too was curious as to what the inside looked like. Supposedly it was supposed to be like Ne'Serah Tinka. There was no sign though. She didn't know what to call the place. Perhaps it had no name on purpose?

Remy arrived just after the two half-drokagr women. He was surprised by them, he hadn't expected anyone to be here except for, perhaps, Tarn. Remy had the key however. He had been told that it would take five days for them to complete construction. Today was that fifth day, it was time to check on their progress. The blue woman had to be the Kalimbra he told Ikram Wylmont to keep an eye out for on behalf of their employer. It seemed that wasn't entirely necessary. The other half-breed seemed to be armed well enough.
"Uhm... hello ladies. Are you.. do you happen to be Kalimbra Na'Limndra? My employer asked me and some other people to keep an eye out for you. Are you here to inspect the property for suitability?"
The lad was slightly nervous. He didn't know what the inside looked like. It could have been incomplete, or it could have been gorgeous. He put the key in the lock, and twisted it, unlocking the door. He would gesture for them to come in. He knew the answer to his question. Why did he even bother to ask? He didn't want to insult the Kalimbra by assuming.
"Please come in. We'll inspect the work together. I'm not sure what it'll look like myself."
He laughed nervously as he pushed the door open. The immediate entryway seemed to be up to specifications. He was pleasantly surprised by the quality of work the company had performed.

"My, you are right on both counts, young sir. This is my bodyguard Merrake. You are Lady Allenmorde's Majordomo I assume? Let us proceed inside when you are ready."
Fyrra entered the entryway when Remy had. So far she had been impressed by the workmanship that was evident. The countess had a good eye for taste. She strode elegantly wrapped in her sarong across the floor, inspecting the various parts of the room. The security of the building was a major feature it seemed. There was plenty of space for guards to be around and about. It would be easy to control someone that was not welcome in the establishment in the entryway. She assumed that was what it was for, controlling the flow of people, and the type of people visiting. Her art was not one that all cruinthians would understand.
A true shame.
Merrake seemed to be enjoying herself as well. She so far had no major problems with the structure of the building. It was all up to what she would expect for such an establishment. The bodyguard had been in several upscale establishments in Korasus on the upper levels. They had similar entryway layouts. She assumed that the countess was not some kind of upstart girl just calling herself that. She had real means, the bodyguard thought.
How interesting that she was a landholder in the Sovereign Kingdom of Cruinthe. She wondered if anyone actually knew she was not all human.

Remy mulled the word majordomo over a bit. He hadn't thought of himself as some kind of steward. Just an assistant. He did what she told him to do and how she told him to do it if she gave him any details. In his mind he was not even an assistant. He was a servant. That did not bother him, he did not hate her. He had no reason to, not yet.
"No, not her majordomo I'm afraid. I'm not that important. Please, after you."
He would lead the Kalimbra through the building, and answer any questions he knew the answers to, otherwise he'd remain silent.

The interior was beautiful. It lacked furniture, but that was something Fyrra assumed would be corrected shortly. She walked around with Remy inspecting the various rooms. She was most impressed with the main tavern room. If appeared to be Korasuan in style, and had a stage as well. She could see herself performing there.
Once the tour was over she proceeded back to the entryway.
"Thank you for the tour, good sir. I will be letting the guild know my decision."
Merrake had remained silent through the tour. She kept her hand on the pommel of her blade just in case. She was relieved when they were leaving because they were doing just that.
