The subject of the tolls passed, for a moment while people talked about Selbria. She hadn't been to Karligar recently. She had passed through it once going to Korasus with Henri. That was before the toll. Since the toll had been instituted she avoided it completely. Money wasn't an object for her, but it was the principle of the thing. The steep toll would force people to make hard choices. They could die. That was it.
But the conversation more or less moved away from the topic. She didn't bring it back up. Fyrra mentioned that the table was starting to look like a table in Ne'Serah Tinka. That was true now that she looked at it. In Korasus that was one of the few establishments where you could find humans and potentially a half-elkagr if they behaved themselves and wanted to be there in the first place.
"It could. That's sort of the plan for the new tavern I'm building."
She looked over at Merrake, and Fyrra, then at the others. It was an interesting situation to say the least. She enjoyed the diversity happening. All they were missing was a Skaldi.

Syl smile and nodded to Jorkahn, "There are most definitely lovely spots to wander out there." She looked at the rest as they spoke. A lot of this was new information to her. She felt like she was born for the first time again and had to learn everything over, as if it was not her language anymore. Tolls and suffering and building- she had no idea what had been going on outside of her lands, other than what she learned from those she traded with.
"You're building a tavern?!" She excitingly responded to Allyria. "Whereabout?" She added, the thought of cheaper ale on her mind. She grinned thievishly, then shook the thought from her mind. These are friends. She did have the interest of building a structure on her mind too. The fact that Allyria was involved with development and investment intrigued Syl. That is better than Syl can do. She does not have much of a creative side; she more so has --shall we say-- a recovering inclination.

Jorkahn did as he had been doing. He looked between the different conversationalists at the table as they spoke and interjected when he felt like he should. Thankfully to him, that was very rarely. He still hadn't gotten this whole socializing thing down. It wasn't his forte and the boy doubted it ever would be. He was learning a lot today, however, and this interested him. The half-breed of another sort looked between the Kalimbra and the Countess when Fyrra mentioned the table's likeness. He had a confused look on his face. At this rate, he felt his face would become stuck.
"Nah Sarah Tin Kah?" The lad frowned, he feared he had butchered that pronunciation. He knew so little of the Drokagr language and culture. It also didn't help that alcohol was more social lubricant and less magical potion for speaking foreign languages. "Is that a person? A place? I, unfortunately, do not know the context. I am assuming it is like the tavern Lady Allenmorde is attempting to establish?" He felt bad for asking so many questions, but he also didn't want to feel left out or confused by the conversation. If he weren't drunk he would laugh at that thought.
Syl's enthusiasm made him smile. He had a feeling the establishment wasn't going to be quite like the roguish woman was thinking. Or perhaps it would? Just a bit more cultured.

"A place. Ne as in ray. Ser as in dare. Rah as in... well I can't think of a Cruic word with that sound. But Tin as in drink. And ka sort of like castle except lower. It should flow. Ne'Serah Tinka. The Noble Flower. It is the most upscale... tavern I guess in N'Janroya. Which is the highest level foreigners may go in Telle'Korasus."
The boy seemed actually interested and so she spoke to him directly. It was rare to see an elf, or a half-breed elf, that actually was curious about the Drokagr. In her experience the Elkagr pretended they didn't exist. Which was fine with her.
Merrake remained silent for now. She had nothing more to say. Nothing polite anyway. She could tell she was pushing it with the Kalimbra.

"I am renovating an existing one. It will serve Drokagr cuisine alongside cruic type food. Drinks of course. If I'm lucky I'll have a Kalimbra or two performing their art there on occasion. Its right up the street. I'll be catering to a different clientele than this establishment. Membership will be required. Much like Ne'Serah Tinka."
The countess said in answer to Syl's question. Also expanding on Fyrras answer. She didn't want to give the impression that just any guy off the street could just walk in. That wasn't an accurate representation. Her anxiety about it began to build some, and she felt the need to expand further.
"Membership chiefly to protect the Kalimbra from people that don't understand the art or the culture. And to help pay the Kalimbra for their work. Ne'Serah Tinka is close to ten platinum coins for a full year of membership I think. Somewhere just short ten thousand Ritz. As I was informing Jorkahn before we came over, touching a Kalimbra without her pemission carries a death penalty."
