"Oh, yeah. Yeah, of course. Sorry." I can't be sorry, nor can I stop smiling. These just wouldn't be things I could stop doing in this moment. I take her by the hand in my excitement, and begin leading her down the halls towards the dining thing which I doubted that I would ever learn the name of.
The faintest of smells was only beginning from that direction, however, when we arrived. This early in the morning, breakfast would still be in preparation, and nowhere near ready to serve I realized as we reached our destination.
"Oh. Ah—I don't think, um, that they're ready." I offer Astris a sympathetic look. "Maybe we can..." I trail off. I was at an absolute lack for words to be honest. The wait became long enough to be awkward, and I shrugged. "I don't know." I offer honestly.

"Well, it appears we will just have to wait. I believe neither of us are young enough to go to the kitchen begging." She chuckles. Her cheeks feel warm, but it's a pleasant sensation. She'd never thought she'd feel at all this way. This is what she'd made fun of her younger sisters for. She'd not imagined that there would be someone that she wanted to be around so badly. It's a little silly, if she was being honest with herself. It's only been a day. But you've been waiting and dreading a year.
She says "I have to admit something, my mother was somewhat annoyed at me for going out with you yesterday without a chaperone. She said that your father wouldn't approve. But, your father and my mother need this arrangement to work. Your father wouldn't jeopardize the arrangement...would he?" She asks curiously.
