The evening waned, the sun fell beneath the horizon. The subtle sounds of the evening crowd rose up through the floor of his room. His room was as dark as he could manage, the only light from lamplight that found its way through the cracks between the door and the frame. His stomach growled, it was as dark as it would get down below, now was as good a time as any to make the trek downstairs for some grub. As he stepped out into the hallway the lamps were all but blinding, he had to use the wall as a guide. Even the stairs were well lit, it was a slow and arduous process to make his way down.
He eventually made his way to a dark corner, he turned his back to the room so as to avoid the blacking glare of the candles and lamps. He didn't need to see the crowd to tell that some of them were getting a bit rowdy. Not his problem, he waited for someone to come take his order. He waited sometime, the crowd growing ever louder. He glanced back, barely able to make out what was going on. It seemed the staff was busy dealing with the drunkards. It seemed they were frantically looking around for someone to help them with the drunkards, but no one was bothering to help.
He sighed, then rose to his feet. He didn't speak a lick of cruic, so he couldn't really ask anyone to leave, but he would guess the staff were already asking such things. He approached one of the more troublesome individuals, tapping him on the shoulder before pointing to the door. What the man said didn't sound nice, there were a few laughs before the man shoved Levistus. Levistus gave the man a look as if to say I dare you to try that again. Once more he pointed to the door. The room was suddenly a lot quieter. The rowdy man shoved, or at least attempted to shove Levistus again. On a good day, they would have been pretty even matched, however the man was quite inebriated and Levistus was a trained warrior. Instead the man went flying towards the door.
For a brief moment, you could have heard a mouse fart; then all hell broke loose. Three more people jumped into the mix, also drunk. It took a moment, but soon they too were stacked neatly by the door, and at the cost of only one barstool. He dusted himself off then pointed to one of the bowls on the table, wanting his meal now that the ruffians had been dealt with.
