Tyr sat waiting outside the Fishery, the double doors open wide to accommodate the supposedly arriving cart. A few of the cavalry scouting his land had spotted it earlier and reported back. Having those men out there made it so much easier to know what was going on, he really would have to get more of them. Maybe get a few watchtowers built along the roads with some sort of relay signal to get emergency messages back and forth, as well as keep bandits away from the more traveled paths. Hmm, yes, these were good ideas and he would have to pursue them more later. Namely after he had the raw materials, manpower, and money all together to get them constructed. Also the soldiers to stand watch in them, that would be slightly important too. Small barracks would need to be spread about the land to support these men, with stocks of food ready. That would take even more planning.
Actually, stocks of food period was a good idea too. Hmm, yes, he would have to get right on that instead....
Tyr is thinking up ideas while awaiting the delivery of iron/leather/cotton.

Hark! A cart! A happy cart!
Atop said cart that wheeled in was a familiar face. Na'ka! She had an eyepatch over one eye. She rolled up to the Fishery this time, having spotted the Duke before arriving at the Artificery. She stopped her team of horses as soon as they passed him, and climbed into the back of the open cart.
"Greetingssss, Duke Mardok. I have your order here. Sssign both and give one back."
She passed copies of his order invoice over to him while she began the unloading process. It would not take long. Though the supplies were heavy, especially the iron, they had been packed efficiently. The Skaldi could handle it on her own of course. She had been sent alone. It was much safer to deliver things in the duchies ruled by people that cared than the others. Kable had long marked the Mardok duchy as safe.

The sight of a trundling cart snapped the Duke out of his wandering thoughts. The sight of a familiar face leading said cart had the man standing with a smile on his face and arms outstretched in greeting. Last he'd heard Naka had gone missing, but here she was alive and in mostly one piece. The eye was a shame, but the living part was a bit more important.
"Welcome back Na'ka, it is good to see you are well. There was word you went missing during a delivery to Innorsford. I hope Trusk and Brusk are still above ground and breathing also." The Duke accepted the forms, signed both, and handed one back with a tidy bag full of Ritz. He stepped in to help with the offloading process, bearing the weight of the cargo with relative ease. Working metal and stone for several years tended to leave someone fairly strong.
"Give Kable my best regards. Safe travels, I shall see you again."
Trying to befriend Na'ka because reasons. Using Force of Personality because yes. Cha (25) + Force (10) + Relationships I (5) +/- Difficulty (?) jdXfBxiR

"It is appreciated, Duke Mardok."
Na'ka and the duke finished unloading the cart together. She then rearranged her cart a tad and set the money and the forms down in a closed and locked chest.
"I will give your regardsss to Kable. Which remindsss me. He wanted to know if you had anything for sale again? Desssignss?"
The Skaldi wasn't so curious herself. But Kable was always out to acquire new goods to sell for a premium. Much like the longbow design that they had acquired from Tyr. If he did not she would be on her way. If he did she would be on her way and tell Kable to send someone to negotiate terms. Na'ka wasn't allowed to do so herself, she wasn't a broker for the company. Delivery was her specialty.

The Duke was slowly pumping out new products all the time, especially when someone commissioned something he hadn't thought about before, but what to sell? And for what price? Two things came directly to mind, although one would need a working design before he could really offer to sell it. No point in saying he had it and then failing to follow through, that wouldn't go very well towards establishing a good relationship with Kable and his company. Then again he could just say he almost had it. If it got finished then all was well, and if not then oh well he'd said he might have it.
"Indeed I do. I have a way of steadily supplying steel that Kable might be interested in. I may also have a design ready for a stronger shield than I've seen floating about. Something that can stand up to longer battles than those bucklers I've seen floating about." The second had yet to be seen but the idea was there, and Tyr would keep trying until he made it, or something close to it, a reality.

"Oh? Sssteel? How much do you have to ssell? A lot?"
That was an eye popper for Na'ka. She would definitely relay that to Kable. The shield bit was interesting enough. People liked to use those as far as she could tell. It wasn't her forte, she was more of a slash and move type, relying on superior weapon skills than blocking. She thought it over and would tell Kable about the potential for newer, better crafted shields as well.
"Anything else? Do you want anything delivered?"

"At this moment, very little. It requires a bit of effort so I make it as customers need it. I have the supplies to make 20 ingots right now, and more would easily be possible given more coal or wood. Coal would be preferable, but I can make do with the latter. The nearby forest means I can always just go chop some." He really needed to get people that could get him resources constantly. Having plain raw resources was incredibly useful. "Given a contract I could start supplying some each month, though at the moment it would be a somewhat meager amount. Better than nothing for the market however." Maybe he could start employing people to the specific task of getting him resources. Like Ritgrs but less specialized and more labor intensive.
"Nothing delivered, but if I could might I see your weapons a moment?" It was a somewhat awkward question, but hopefully one that would be complied with anyway. He wanted to show thanks to the Company, and if he had a model to work after he could make a better blade for Na'ka to use. Helping the company ship things by making the security detail more dangerous would be a gift that kept giving.

"That's not sssomething I can decide, Duke Mardok."
She said this in regards to his contemplation over providing said steel on a month to month basis. Upon the request to see Na'ka's weapons she immediately became on her guard. Was he attempting to rob her? If she handed over her weapons, his troops could easily kill her and take what was left in the cart. Then they could put her bloody body and cart down the river and claim she never arrived when Kable asked. Her grip tightened on the reigns, and she looked around nervously with her one eyeball.
"Why doesss Duke Mardok want my weaponss?"
A fair question, even though the relationship between the company and Mardok was good from a business standpoint, trust hadn't been fully established where Na'ka was concerned when she was concerned with her well being.
Na'ka's trust normally wasn't ever fully given to anyone when it came down to Na'ka's well being.

Tyr caught most of the signs of Na'kas anxiety. It was understandable, his question was an awkward one. Especially with the current state of the world. Perhaps there was a better way to do this? The Duke raised his hands to chest level, holding them open and facing the Skaldi, and backed away from the cart. It was the best way he could think of to show he was not a threat.
"There is no harm meant. I only want to measure their weight, nothing more." Without getting any closer, he was roughly five paces from the cart and thus unable to really threaten Na'ka, Tyr pulled the warhammer free from the clasp on his back and let it drop to the ground. He did the same with the sword belt around his waist and was thus unarmed. Hopefully that would help the situation some.
"If you have multiple, then might I have one at a time? If it would make you feel safer you may have one resting on my shoulder. Please don't use it unless you have to though, I'd hate to get a closer shave than necessary." Though it was a joke he refrained from smiling. He didn't know Skaldi culture very well and for all he was aware that could make things worse. Tyr would only start to get closer if given some form of assent, at which point he'd slowly approach the cart with his hands once again open and in front of him. True to his word he would take one blade at a time when offered to estimate the weight of them, and let Na'ka have one resting against his neck the entire time.

"Maybe another time Duke. I have deliveriessss."
Na'ka had grown moderately annoyed by the Duke's request. It was strange. Only wanted to check their weight? Whatever for. The why wasn't answered, it was danced around. She had expected him to be forthright, not dance. The Skaldi stayed on her carriage and spurred her horses forward with the reigns, leaving the area. Extricating herself with the excuse that timely delivery was important to Kable. At least that is what had been implied. With business concluded she was on her way to her next stop, somewhere along the roads.
