Vivien took a deep breathe, held it for a second and then released it, holding her hand against her chest to feel the change in her heartbeat. Hardly anything, interesting. She'd been trying to learn more about the body for a while now, wondering if it would allow her to kill people easier. Her theory was that if she could learn to control people's bodies, she could simply stop the heart without a worry, as she didn't really like getting too messy and all that.
"I wonder what will happen if I..."
She pushed herself off the ground and looked about. It seemed that she was in a field of flowers and grass, with nothing much else around. She'd managed to sleep in a weird place last night, and weirdly enough near flowers. Kneeling near them she pointed her hand carefully at it, and thought of what to do. All she needed to do was poison them right? Then they'd die quickly, unlike humans so far it seemed... Sure enough she felt a little tug in her body and the flowers began to wilt, slowly but surely, and then eventually ended up as a little pile of blackened remains on the floor, which made her feel good.

With a dark mess now left on the floor, Vivien felt like using magic would be a very fun thing to do in the field. As she looked around she couldn't see anybody around, simply some trees and shrubs, without any sort of building in sight. It would have been wise to go and have a look around, but instead she stayed in the field and wondered what to do next. It wasn't very often she got to use her magic, so it was probably worth trying to practice it a little bit more. Perhaps taking down another set of flowers would do the job, or...
Looking over at the shrub nearby Vivien began to grin evilly, as she was almost certain with a little luck she could destroy that too. It was literally the same just a little bigger, so would take longer to destroy. Confident in her ability, she knelt down next to the green shrubbery, which was about thigh height when standing, and not very thin. She then pushed her hand against it and began to try and destroy it with poison. She felt a small change in her body but nothing happened, a real shame really. She supposed she'd just got lucky the first time, but maybe if she tried again in a moment.

Vivien decided it was about time she examined the shrub a little, before using her attack again, in case there were some sort of useful creatures on it which she could mess around with a little. Poking her nose a little closer she couldn't find any sort of little critter on anything, even on the greenest of the leaf type things which were on the plant. To her the thing looked like a really small tree, so why didn't creatures want to live on it?
"They wont be able to live on it after this..."
With that she moved back a little and took another attempt at destroying the bush, feeling confident that this time there would be some sort of success. Her aim was to use poison to incinerate the bush so to speak. After a few moments of nothing happening she growled a little, how comes it had worked earlier but now wasn't having anything to do with her? Life was just so unfair sometimes, not that she minded that, because others suffered through that too, which was nice.

Vivien glared at the bush for a while before standing up straight and walking away. It was simply not her thing to keep trying for that long. Perhaps she'd mess around a little with some random people, poison their food or something, might be quite entertaining. Nevertheless staying somewhere too long and using magic too much could draw a little attention to herself, so she briskly walked away from the situation and left the field, heading along an odd little winding path, dug in from seemingly countless feet in the past.
As she walked along she noticed a few trees by the side of the path, with a few bushes below them. On the trees seemed to be a type of fruit on them, on the bushes another, which made her wonder what exactly would they taste like. As she thought this her stomach rumbled a little and she decided an apple would be good about now. Looking at a single fruit which she guessed was an apple on the tree, she tried to use a little magic to persuade it to fall. With a little effort, she felt absolutely nothing, and with a sigh decided it was best not to keep trying.

Looking at the tree again she realised that it would be so easy to do if she just concentrated a little more on it. Looking at the apple she concentrated for a moment to think of how she could get it to fall. All she really needed to do was send a little bit of a gust its way and it would fall, meaning very little of a struggle on her behalf. Her stomach rumbled again and she knew that if she failed this time she'd have a go at seeing what the stuff on the bushes were like.
Concentrating on the easy task, she attempted to send a little gust of wind towards the apple to knock it off the tree so that she could have something to eat. After the attempt and a failure, she growled a little and looked down at the berries, which now looked a whole lot more tasty. She had to say that she hadn't been this hungry for a while, but that could probably be put down to sleeping for quite a while in a field and not really remembering much from the night before.

Vivien was thinking a little bit about this little berries, as she wasn't quite sure if they were berries or not. She presumed they were but she hadn't really tried to identify them, which would be a good idea before she tried to eat them, as she didn't really like the idea of poisoning herself in the middle of nowhere. She had a habit of bad luck though, so she really needed to make sure that these berries wouldn't end her life or make her violently sick. Grabbing a handful of the red berries, she began to inspect them.
In theory all she needed to do was use a little bit of knowledge, and combine it with a little bit of magic. Her plan was to tell if the stuff was poisonous by using poisonous magic, the idea being that they would be interacting together in some way, whilst also using her poison and herb knowledges to help. As she inspected them she recognised them, they were edible and quite tasty if her memory served her correctly, so she quickly ate the handful of berries and took a few bites before swallowing and carrying along the path.
