Floras 24th, 200ATD
Evening
On the morning of the twenty fourth Allyria got up, packed some coin from the bank, and went north to Sorath again. She was going to do some shopping. More like purchasing materials for improving the house. Wood, stone. There was a laundry list of stuff she wanted done. The work she could do herself, but the materials were hard to come by. She didn't have the patience to cut a huge slab of stone off a mountain and then cut it into a fireplace.
As fast as Nai'ir was though, she arrived in the evening in Sorath. The guards of the city didn't care who she was or what she was doing. They didn't ask her questions, they just let her through. Lazy. She had no home in Sorath. So it was the inn for her.
Everyone she asked said that the Serpent's Head was the best Inn in the country. In the world. She wasn't sure about the world. She was sure about 'in town'. That was the population's consensus. The 'in the world' part was about one old guy who clearly had too many drinks. The 'in the country' part came from the three people who were clearly from out of town.
She decided to try it.
When she reached it she realized why it was one of the best. The place was massive. It probably had dozens of rooms. She brought her horse to the stable, parked its butt there and paid the boy. Then she went inside the main tavern room. A barmaid came up to her with a smile on her face and a large piece of parchment.
"Uhm... hi?"
"Hello! Welcome to the Serpent's Head. Will you be dining in? Or do you want a room?"
"Can I have both?"
"Certainly. Sit anywhere you want."
"Here's fine."
For a change, Allyria did something non-cliche of a roleplaying or prose character. She sat in the middle of the room in a well lit spot. The barmaid passed the menu over and waited for her to make an order.
"I'll have the Chowder chow down. The alpine ale and the Rhotbrot, please. Thank you."
"My pleasure."
