Tyr strolled into the stables with only a semblance of an idea as to what he wanted. Horses were the main point, but beyond that he didn't know much else. Good horses for traveling would be important, but if he wanted to get resources carted in and out of his duchy then regular work horses would be great for carts. War horses would also be a plus, but no one seemed to have those. Finding a shop owner with some questions in mind, Tyr gave a grand smile and offered a handshake. "Greetings! I'm in the market for several horses. To list, I could use half a dozen general work horses for my Duchy, the two fastest horses you have of the opposite gender for potential breeding, and anything you have resembling a destrier or other war horse." That last one might not exist though. From what he had seen being offered some were faster than the others, but none were exceptionally sturdy and big as warhorses tended to be. Information on where to get a warhorse, or reliable information on how to go about breeding one would also be valuable to me."

"We don't have any war horses sir. We haven't gotten any horses of that type since I've been running the place. You might want to ask the actual breeders. You can find them in cahalia, verenald, and in Navarre. I dont think theyll know either. LIke i said, at leat twent years."

Drought and DeathShortly after Dawn During the Drought
I knew horses. I'd once had several good ones. They were my father's, now. Really they'd always been my father's, I just knew them. My house's finances were tight—this I knew as I sought the stable's door. The yard seemed mostly kept, but there wasn't water in the trough. I became disheartened at my prospects of finding a horse that was alive much less good. This may be a moot point entirely. Upon finding the door next to the entrance to the interior, I strode forward and rapped three times—hard. I knew of no other stables in the city, and none which could be found easily. I hoped that I would be able to get something here, rather than try to steal something that looked healthy. I am no thief, nor bandit, but if needs must. I leaned then, against the doorway before I noticed the man in the stable proper. "Hello." I said, looking around. The horses seemed in better condition than I was worried about. I could have been wrong, however. "I need to buy a horse. Maybe two. What have you got?"

"I've got the Navarran and Verenald Thoroughbreds. And then your regular mixed horses from the local farms and stables. They'll all carry you and yours. It's just a matter of how fast, how far, and how much coin you got, son."

"I'm working." I say pointing with a thumb. "On the watermain. The place where it comes in—there's something blocking it. I need a horse saddled and ready immediately. One of generous size, that could carry two." I fold my arms and set Harstan with a serious look. I point out one of the Cruinthe-bred horses that looked stout. "I'll give you two hundred for that one."
