The Saurian was almost getting used to the stares of the people of Morith, where in Mardok he'd been looked upon as something almost normal with very little fear from the citizens here he was a Skaldi once more. People had rarely seen one of his kind outside of slavery or warfare and he'd admit in his armour with the various weapons hung about him he looked quite intimidating to most whether he intended to or not. It was a bit of a shock to him to once again be looked upon with fear and anger after Mardok's people's view of him and caused a nugget of anger to burn in his core, why were his kind to be feared so when it was the humans that had enslaved and mistreated them for so long.
Upon reaching the tower in which he'd met the Lord last time Kreans would slow his pace, his weapons attatched to his armour across his body and his hands away from their hafts so as not to spook the guards, last time he'd had no trouble here but there was nothing to say that he wouldn't this time. He'd stop a few metres before the guards and look each in the eye for a few moments before he spoke, sizing them up as potential enemies and in his mind wondering how he'd fare against them and finding them lacking. "I am here to see your Lord again to discuss something of importance to the rebuilding of this city."

The guard looks the Skaldi up and down with trepidation at first, then he recognizes the Skaldi. The other guard just tries to keep an eye on the road around the tower. Morith had seen a lot of devastation, and now crime was becoming a problem. A widespread one with so many sections of the city destroyed. Kreans would glean that just from walking around seeing the desperate people in their current circumstances. However, most people gave him a wide berth. They didn't approach him, and they only stared from a distance when they were sure he wasn't going to notice them. Until he did of course.
"King Karligar is not here. Lady Karligar is. You're the same Skaldi that came here before, right?"
The guard asks. His comrade scans the streets for a moment, checks out the Skaldi, then looks back to the streets. Another guard comes up, whispers to him. He nods, and the other guard leaves again.

It seemed that a looming Skaldi wasn't the guards greatest concern, he was glad to see that they were not overly apprehensive about his presence seeing as he'd met the two before and caused no issue. The guard he'd directed his statement towards seemed more focussed on him while the other was searching about as though he was expecting some form of ambush. Whatever the situation in the city was now it seemed as though it was worse than the last time he'd been there, the guardsmen were far more alert and cautious now than before, poverty did cause violence and a Lord's tower was likely to be a place where food and valuables could be found.
Unfortunately the King was not in. It seemed the man had done something in the space of time it had taken him to get to Mardok, where before he'd been Lord now he was King? How interesting it would be to hear of how the man had grown his station so much in so little time relatively speaking, but for now he was more concerned with speaking with the man. "If your King is not in where could I find him? And if not him can the Lady make decisions in his stead? I'd like to get to work as quickly as possible."
While he'd note the arrival and departure of the third guard he'd make no moves, the guards present hadn't changed their stance or given him any indication of a change towards him so as far as he was concerned he had nothing to fear. If the guards did try to turn on him he'd slaughter them all and march up to see the Lady anyway. As far as he was aware though they had no reason to turn on him, he'd helped their King learn the power of written word and had given them no reason to fight so it shouldn't become complicated.

The guard thinks for a moment.
"It really depends on the request, whether or not she can grant it. Uh... I shouldn't be saying this but, she's just a noble. Not actually a person in any position of power. She's the King's sister."
"Yeah... I'd prepare yourself, Skaldi. She's not a nice person."
The guard say back and forth in response. The second guard gestures at someone passing, the person drops something they had picked up and high tailed it out of there. The guards shake their heads.
"This city sure is in the shit right now."
"You're telling me."
They look at the Skaldi as if expecting something.

It seemed the human settlement still wasn't recovered, the guards were on edge and there was no one around at this time that seemed able to provide the supplies that he needed in order to fill the contract that they'd provided. The one person in the city that might be able to help him by the counts of the guards wasn't going to be that helpful, but he'd try anyway, she wasn't even a chieftain just a simple family member of one therefore her strength couldn't be too great and he'd be able to force her to see as he did.
When the guard motioned towards a passing human Kreans would look over, noting the fleeing human with a grin. These guards were unable to properly keep order in their own settlement, strength brought order and so they couldn't have much of it, the more he saw of Morith the more he was convinced that their Lord Redgar was the only one of any real strength capable of leading them. A fine warrior he was, moreso than these simple guards that could barely keep order within their eyesight, were it his say things would be running much differently, but he was a guest here and one seeking assistance to increase his own power at that, he could not afford to displease the ones capable of helping him.
"The King is not here so i'll speak to this Lady instead, I trust that I can handle her" Kreans would say with a grin that exposed his rows of sharp teeth, "Can she be found in the same study I was in before?" He'd wait for their answer and then proceed into the tower heading towards the study or wherever else the guards said the Lady might be found.

"Yeah. Not much else in the tower. Just the residence, the study, and storerooms. That's about it. You know your way. I just ask you leave your weapons here. Don't need to lose my job over this, you understand."
"He's a walking weapon. Best to escort him."
"Yes, of course... ah. Here. Follow us. Don't do anything out of sorts, please."
The soldiers seem polite but uncomfortable. They lead Kreans to the same study that he had spoken to Redgar in that prior time he visited. It was warm inside, the fire was burning nicely in the hearth. There wasn't a soul around, but the soldier knocked on the door all the same.
"Greetings Lady Karligar, you have a visitor. He came here to see your brother, the King. But the King is away on business. I thought you might wish to see him."
The soldiers both looked tense while there was silence for a moment.

A voice comes down from above the stairs on the left of the entrance to the study.
"I'll be down in a moment. Wait there."
A feminine and controlled voice. Kreans would recognize it as Lady Karligar who treated him so harshly before. Soon she'd come down the stairs dressed in white and gold. A simple dress but one that appears to befit her station as the sister to the king. She comes over to the desk and gestures for the three to follow her. The two soldiers and the Skaldi.
"Is this skaldi my visitor? What was your name again?"

The idea of leaving his weapons wasn't proper to the Skaldi, why should any living person be asked to leave their weaponry before seeing the chieftain. If the chief was not strong enough to defend themselves against Kreans then they had no right to the position, so to ask for his weapons was to deny their faith in their leader, the Lord before had understood this and had taken no issue with Kreans weaponry while he was teaching the written word so why should they. Luckily they quickly realised the Saurian's large frame and gleaming teeth and claws for the weapons they were and decided to simply escort him in themselves, an honour guard was much more acceptable to him even if still they brought shame to their chief by doing so, it seemed that the Lady they spoke of was not as strong as their Chieftain Karligar.
Still Kreans would behave himself as he was lead into the study that he'd formerly completed the quest in, it had been a good earner for such a simple task, even if the Chief had been coughing blood and close to dying for the majority of their time together. The two guards sent with him didn't seem to relish the job, why his presence was unsettling them so he couldn't guess, surely those assigned to guarding the Chief would be strong warriors and shouldn't be phased by him, yet these seemed not to have the toughened mind that was necessary to protect their leader. Kreans shook his head lightly at the thought that the human Chiefs chose their warriors as such, their chief had impressed him but the warriors not nearly as much.
When the female spoke he'd wait where indicated, and when she descended he'd barely contain his displeasure at the woman who he was to deal with. An unpleasant female from his small interaction the last time and one that seemed altogether less likely to help him from her nature, he would try however as getting this job done would help him grow in power both from the Shaper and from helping this human city. "I am your visitor, Kreans of the Skaldi Resistance Front, I have seen you need help in repairing your city and I come with letter from the Shaper to aid."
