Camping was far more to his strengths, what kind of Skaldi didn't know how to properly set a camp, any Skaldi of a proper tribe would have learnt since birth how to camp as till recently they had no solid home of their own and moved around quite frequently. Now that New Skaldira had been wrestled from the humans and brought under their control they had a place to call their home but still camping was not something lost to them in their comfort of a stationary base. Kreans huffed as he stepped into the proving grounds amongst the humans and half breeds, their knowledge of this subject couldn't match up to a Skaldi who'd spent the first eleven years of their life camping out and constantly on the move, even the instructors couldn't hope to help him much here he noted as he eyed each up. Most looked fairly grizzled and used to hard labour, as though they'd spent time in the outdoors, but still he doubted they could match his strength here, if anything he should be teaching this class to them.
Kreans took the supplied camping equipment from a pile and began pitching his tent, it wasn't quite the hide tents that he was used to working with, it was a far more uniform leather and a far more difficult tent to put up than what the Skaldi had to carry around with them for so long. Kreans dug his poles in and draped the leather tent over the frame and secured it down so that the breezes wouldn't blow it away, he couldn't actually fit inside the tent on account of it having been sized for humans but he could put it up just fine. Lessons learnt from before on the frailty of human constructions aided him greatly, he treated each pole with care and didn't snap a single one nor tear his leather pieces at all in the construction of his tent, they were far sturdier than the accursed writing implements and paper he had to handle previously and for that he was grateful. While it wasn't quite like home because of the population of humans around him it was closer than he'd been since leaving New Skaldira at the orders of his clan to learn from them, and filled him with a desire to take materials of his own and put his skills to use in making himself a tent more to his sizing.
