By following a series of strange carved orange vegetables one finds themselves in a desolate town populated by strange beings. Several hooded and cloaked figures roam about the muddy streets, minding their own business. They all seemed to be going this way, or that, with no apparent destination. All but one solitary cloaked figure manning a small stall, peddling goods.
"Free trade!", he calls aloud, with a voice like a hallowed stump. "Now until Halloween!"
Confused about what the figure is talking about, one may find themselves drawing closer.
"You! Yes, you there! Come to see my stock? Take a gander! I trade in gold, materials, and items for these wares."

Redgar was lost.
He had no idea how he had come upon this town. First he was going to take a dump in the sanitary tower, then he found himself on this path following some orange, smiling, glowing, gourd-like vegetables. It was all around strange for him. And he needed to go. Like now.
"Damn it all. Perhaps I'll find a-- Who the hell is yelling at me?!"
Can't a man just... relieve himself in peace?[/i]
Redgar forgot his needs for a moment and approached the stall, looking over the goods and addressing the cloaked figure with his eyes. He sneered for a second, and then thought better. Perhaps he could make a fair trade here. Some things looked inviting. Like the potions.
"What under the blue skies is Halloween?"
"Tis the season!"
"And these things?"
"My wares! And pumpkins! It's the end of harvest."
"It's the dry season you loony."
"It can be dry, yes. But also wet, and cold. Depends on where you live."
"So these potions... rather expensive?"
"A thousand gold marks, yes. But you do get quite a lot in one bottle, and back home they're the flavor of everything."
"I see. I'll take one of those then."
"Will that be all?"
"I think for now. I don't have much use for a hat or vest like that. And the other things... can't see anything special about them."
"Then that will be all! Come again when the season returns!"
"Not like I had a choice."
And with that Redgar paid and was rendered back to his sanitary tower. Spooky juice in hand.

Jorkahn had been following a path of strange carved vegetables for a while now, the bright color having caught his eye at some point in some place at some time. Eventually, it lead to a muddy little town in gods knows where with strange hooded inhabitants minding their own business. One person and stall caught his attention. He took a good look at the wares. Something deep down made him think they were magical in some way. A short explanation later and the young man was walking away with a bottle of the Spooky Juice and a strange Spooky Key. It was rather expensive, but he had the funds to spare. The Champion felt like these could come in handy at some point.
Spooky Juice and Key, please!

On a walk about the duchy grounds Tyr found himself on a path he did not know. There were carved objects that seemed strangely like food, and suddenly a new village full of people there were not his subjects. The buildings were unfamiliar, the mood was incredibly somber, and no one was coughing up lungs. This couldn't be his lands, could it? He had to be somewhere else.
A nearby peddler caught his attention with his calls and Tyr wandered over, curious about the only speaking individual in the area.
"What's this?" Tyr held up the juice and listened briefly, before setting it down. A solitary key caught his eye next. "How interesting. You trade in gold you say?" Tyr ended up spending a rather ridiculous amount of money in the next few moments, procuring a lantern, vest, key, and a rather hefty amount of juice.
His purse incredibly light, Tyr waved and wandered off with his purchases, finding the path he came in on had disappeared. In short order he was back on a side road that led along the side of town towards the river. Behind him was the forest, and no more vegetables. Whatever he had wandered upon it was now gone, but the items he had acquired lingered on.
Buying: Spooky Juice (x16) Spooky Lantern Spooky Key Spooky Vest Total: 34,000 Ritz.

Rithaleya was hardly surprised to find the place while out hunting, carving markings on trees to mark the way to a town was a common habit in Cahalia, she'd found. The place was a bit strange, but then, so was everything else in Cruinthe. She stopped by the shop; trade and barter were not only fun, but also profitable habits, she'd found.
The selection was mildly interesting, but there was one giant, orange-vegetable-shaped problem she had with what this clown was offering: The prices. "Stop saying the word 'thousand' and maybe we'll have a deal," she said with exasperation.
To her ears, it sounded more like a verbal tic than an honest assessment of value. She tried asking again for the prices, in her other known languages, just in case the problem was one of dialect... she hadn't brought much to barter with, and the one valuable gem she had seemed too valuable to hand over just for a little couture, or some trinkets.

"Four short of a perfect roll, miss. I like your spirit though. A real trick or treater you are. I'll knock a zero off the bottom of one item of your choice. A thousand becomes a hundred. In exchange I want the bones of something magical in the future."
The cloaked man waved his hand and the prices on the goods drops a place. From thousands to hundreds, just for Rithaleya.
"Deal?"

Rithaleya took a deep breath, went for her coin purse, and handed over 300 Ritz; which was nearly all she'd brought with her. The key looked useful, but it seemed a little too spooky for her to be willing to offer a bank note for the amount of almost all her remaining funds.
"Sure. Your vest looks nice, and magic is always trouble. I'm sure I'll stumble across magical bones, sooner or later.
"Thanks for the trade; I like your tricks."
