The Dry Plague of Morith
During the month of Cretos, a large battle was waged inside the city walls of the city Morith. The city served as a trade hub for the entire nation. Regardless of the outcome of the battle, the entire nation lost. Coupled with the dry weather, and the thousands of rotting corpses in the city streets, with the victors too eager to get the national economy back on track, a perfect storm of death brewed. Soon thousands all over the country were coming down with a case of both Stomach Rot and Hacklung at the same time. It was rumored that death gripped the land. Over the course of the month of Orazos, ten percent of Cruinthe's population had died from the monstrous disease that gripped the land.
All territories lose 10% of their total population.
Players with Agriculture Knowledge will gain back the respected percentage associated with that knowledge unless there is a skill involved.
All characters* are afflicted with:
Hacklung
"A bloody disease that racks the lungs and makes you bleed in your breath. Your mouth tastes like copper all the time. You're lucky if you suffocate from a coughing fit before you drown in your own blood."
-The character is subject to coughing fits 10% of the time. Every post one must roll a die (this takes up one of your total die per turn), upon a 10 or lower the character suffers from a coughing fit.
-If a ten or lower isn't rolled, the threshold for a coughing fit increases by ten, until there is no chance to resist.
-Once your character enters a coughing fit, the character takes 10% of their total HP in damage.
-The character must roll under their vitality to recover from the coughing fit.
-During a coughing fit you can take no actions.
*New characters that are generated post the event that caused this do not start with the disease, but may contract it by random chance. To stave it off, bathe, you filthy animals.
