Kell had not by any means given up on the idea of expanding out his lands, he'd just postponed it for a while was all, and now it was back to being something he was actively attempting. And by actively attempting he'd travelled well out of his way going North around Tower Rock and then continuing North before looping back in a great arc to come to the county at his western border from a north western position itself. Hopefully, it'd mean that it was unlikely he'd be associated at all with his lands should things go too badly.
Possibly coming alone hadn't been the best of his ideas, but the idea of putting others in danger for this didn't appeal to him, he was still not too happy with putting the residents of his lands at risk unless it was something that he couldn't do himself, a little bit of scouting he was fairly sure he could do himself though right?
For now all he had to do was get a rough idea of what kind of force he was going up against in this area, troop totals and fortifications if there were any, he'd try to keep to the shadows in the forest as he moved slowly towards the centre of the county, listening out for anyone approaching him. He wasn't here to necessarily become violent, in fact if it were possible he'd prefer diplomacy over violence, if these people seemed decent then by all means he would attempt to be diplomatic with them, but if they were at all like what he'd heard of the bandits that lived in these parts then he would be doing the world a favour.
