Hair: Black, long, kept in a pony tail

Faction: Great Fleet of Ansai
Languages: Damjou Ansai, Cruic
Appearance:
Xyn is fit, lean, but not muscular; a lithe form with off-tan, weathered skin. His long black hair is worn tied back, he keeps his face clean shaven. His arms and upper body are covered in dark colored tattoos with almost arcane designs to them. He generally wears dark colored clothes and leathers fit to him so that they accentuate his lean form. He carries himself with pride and discipline, he wears no weapons, relying on his arcane talents instead.
Personality: Xyn is a taciturn individual. He chooses his words carefully and ensures they carry the meaning he wishes to convey. There is nothing about him that is without meaning and intention, each action, each inflection, delivered with precision for a purpose. He tries to ensure he has an understanding of the situation before acting, his life a game of tactics. He has a mission and he will do his utmost to carry it out, carrying out whatever actions are necessary to succeed, justifying his actions by his goals.
Deep down, he is a good person, but he has a duty to his people, and that duty must come first and foremost. He would much rather gain an ally than to destroy an enemy, but he understands betrayal is apart of human nature and will not hold back when annihilation is the better option.
History: His people had no lands, no resources of their own, they had little to offer in trade other than the offer of peace in exchange for tribute instead of the use of force and pillaging. His father was a ship's commander, and a brilliant leader. He was raised in his father's shadow, always expected to step into his father's role one day. He has always striven to please his father, observing him as a child, training with the sailors and soldiers that were under his fathers command, and carrying out all of his duties with extreme dedication and precision.
He was educated from an early age in the use of magic, he was found to have the talent for the arcane and was brought up to use it in support of his people. He found it to be an excellent tool in offense and defense, something that could be utilized to enhance his tactics and to waylay the enemy in unsuspecting ways. He found that it allowed him to act in battle without wielding a weapon, to always be armed despite his appearance. He was trained in basic combat abilities using his magic as both weapon and shield, he was taught how to fool his opponents arcane figments, and to bind his magic to items so that others could make use of his talents as well.
With his father's example as a leader and soldier, and his developed talents, Xyn was becoming quite the individual to be reckoned with. It was for these reasons that he was chosen for a special mission, one that would lead to a better existence for his people. His peoples' fleet was aging, despite the extreme care his people took in maintaining the ships, generations at sea was beginning to show. Without lands they could only do so much, it takes space and manpower to build replacement ships, forests to supply the wood, mines to supply iron, villages to harvest both. His people had none of these. So his people worked to find sources for all of these or to come to some kind of agreement that would allow them to gain these. His role in all of this was being developed, they brought in teachers who taught him the language culture of one possible source, a rather xenophobic land who was under the thumb of a tyrant.
He studied to please his father, to learn what was necessary to carry out the mission they were creating for him. When the time would come, he would be placed in their lands. He would be given what resources could be spared, but he would need to gain allies in the land, broker agreements that would give his people access to the resources they needed. At the same time, he was to find out the vulnerabilities of the nation and gain as much position as possible, such that should it come to it, he could use that position to help destroy them from within.
The nation he would be infiltrating was not only xenophobic, but they trained their mages to hunt down magic users. In the final stages of his training, they taught him how to use his magic against other magic. In a fight against a warrior, the magic he had been training with his whole life should be sufficient, but against a mage he would be ripped to shreds. Once his training was complete, they dropped him off at the delta, leaving him behind when their ships returned to sea. His mission has begun, now he just needs to figure out where to start.
