Proboards is updating their platform to a new version at a date yet to be determined. There are some things I'm generally concerned about and will keep an eye on. Here's a list.
1. Mobile Version Functionality.
-They're claiming to be making the experience of mobile and other similar platforms to be the same as the desktop/laptop. I'm looking forward to this as mobile can make some plug-ins not work properly. (Like the bank & interest for example.)
2. Streamlining posting.
-They've indicated there won't be a separate page for posting. That we'll be able to post on the thread page and have full functionality there. Exciting, but depending on the design this could be really annoying.
3. Better WYSIWYG editors. For both the preview tab of your posts, and for administrative stuff.
-Good news for those of you that use preview mode.
4. Administrative stuff.
-No comments here, other than I get to learn a new layout.
5. Better account switching.
-Not sure how they'll pull this off, I think the current system is great.
6. Plug in related insanity.
-I didn't understand any of that stuff but if it leads to more powerful tools for us and our rpg then great.
Currently Version 4 supports a wide amount of character customization through skills and the crafting processes. These so far have had their pros and cons. Before V4 we didn't have nearly as many differences between characters.
V4.1 is an update to expand on the idea of character customization. Here's how:
1. We'll be adding 2-3 new Human Ethnicities to the game to represent a larger slice of actual humanity. So far the part of humanity represented is largely European by comparison to our world. New Ethnicities will include:

2. NPCs will gain skills.
We're looking at a reduced number of skills as they can only be up to lvl 3.
Concerns about players going full solo will be mitigated by monsters or encounters that typically are level bound to the player with numbers being that of the players party +2-3. (So up to 4+2 or 3= Roughly 6-7 enemies at player level. With how deadly combat is, good luck!)
Reason for that being we don't want to be running 2 different monster hunts when we could be running one and have a greater loot pool.

3. Monster & Dungeon Expansion.
We'll be slowly adding more and more monsters to the game, as well as dungeons. This will include classic monsters like The Snapdragon, and Caraska.

4. Other potential expansions/Reductions
-Proboards V6 may provide more functionality to the game. It may also break some stuff. I can imagine the bank breaking and the money system breaking if the plugin author doesn't update the plugin for the new version in which case we will need to be ahead of it. Before we switch to the new version we'll make copies of character sheets, bank information, and post counts. This should mitigate any potential damage a version change causes.
-We are considering expanding the total knowledges for the game. Adding some to the various classes, and some to the Hidden and Basic lists. (You can provide suggestions)
Cruinthe V4.1 will begin construction when we've (I've) finished expanding the towns and various other in game locations, including finishing the southern kingdoms.
