The house was rather barren, rightly so as she had few possessions with which to fill it. Even so it felt hollow, she was on her own, her father still in Fordeth trying to eek out a living, her classmates were back in the Elkagr kingdoms, who knew where her mother was, and now she was here in Viktoria all alone. She had already placed the order to have the place renovated, she would need to leave for Morith soon, but for tonight she had a roof over her head and a mat on the floor. It wasn't quite the luxury she was accustomed to, but it was far better than the gutters from the night before.
It took some time, but eventually she fell asleep. When she awoke in the morning she had this sense of dread as though she had a nightmare, but she could not remember her dreams. She sat up alone in the empty room, despite her disdain for most other people and her loner mindset, she couldn't help but long for some type of companionship... perhaps she would get a cat when she returned. For now it was time to get ready, she had a long trip ahead of her after all.

Luckily it was the bank that counted out the coin, and not Asmat. The man meant well, but he could barely math to save his life. Asmat had checked the progress of the construction for his client daily. He could understand someone being out of the city for a bit while the construction was ongoing, but he couldn't understand leaving such a nice home empty once it was complete. His client hadn't really specified the nature of her absence, nor had she given a specific return date. With each passing day of construction, he had grown more and more envious of the property to the point, by the time he inspected the construction and was to pay the construction crew, he had convinced himself that it would be in the best interest of his client that he constantly watch over the property by, " "House sitting." " So it was that Asmat came to reside, at least temporarily, at the future "Finest Finery."
His client had at least specified her trade and the nature of her business, so to that extent he could justify his stay by filling her cellar with supplies she would need upon her return... and also food, which of course would have to be constantly fresh so that his client wouldn't arrive to find spoiled goods in the cellar. He could, of course, make sure the food was fresh by cycling through it on a regular basis. He was just certain that his client was going to appreciate his services.
