The red rays of dawn heralded the departure of the Drokagr initiative from Telle'Korasus, several horses tethered to large, well-used carts laden with supplies, one of the many humanitarian missions that came and went from Korasus to venture out into Cruinthe and provide much needed supplies to it's people, whether they admitted them to be necessary or not. Horses whinnied, surrounded by a grey-skinned mass who were the helpers on such an expedition, each believing that they should help the cruinthians, or simply get away from Korasus.
Kell walked near the back of the group, together with the other Drokagr but at the same time alone due to his status as a half breed, and one with a black history attatched to him at that. He didn't mind though, the isolation that came from them was fine by him, he preferred to keep himself to himself, he was setting out to start a new chapter of his life and it wasn't likely that those present here would be part of it.
Deciding what to do had not been easy, but the black looks from all around were incentive enough to leave, his parent's deaths had left him with a mark over his head, one that he couldn't get rid of no matter what he did. He wasn't one for rash decision and so it had taken time to come to any sort of conclusion, but once he'd gotten there it was firmly printed into his head. Staying in Telle'Korasus would have left him as a subject of gossip, plus for a male in Korasus there wasn't much that you could amount to. Going into Cruinthe proper would allow him to start anew with no one having any preconceived ideas of him, as well as allowing him to be what he wanted, he wouldn't be hampered by the matriarchal society that the Drokagr worked on.
Although he wouldn't admit it, he also hoped that by distancing himself from Korasus he'd distance himself from what had happened, and the memories would fade. Time would most likely be the healer for that, but for now putting some distance between himself and Korasus was what he thought was needed.
And so it was that when the expedition went out he went with it, plodding along at an even pace amongst others of his kind seeking to do good while he was only seeking escape. They moved at a fairly brisk pace, aiming to cover as much as they could while keeping everyone in a reasonable condition, the highways of Cruinthe were never safe and so the travellers were always especially vigilant.
