Ulric woke soundlessly, one moment drifting out from the abyss of sleep, the next coming to his senses, he woke quickly and easily. A side effect of spending so much time in places where would one would have to leave their bed rather quickly, possibly when there was the rage of a father or husband to contend with that would hasten his ability to awake quickly. He awoke though unsure of where he was for a moment, his head was in his hands and he was laying facedown on a rather hard packed and slightly uncomfortable floor.
Ulric raised his head from his hands and smacked it against something above him, swearing rather loudly in the process, then realising that he was of course still under the cart that had served as his sleeping arrangement for the night. In his mind he recalled the previous day, chuckling slightly at how fun it had been and hoping that this one would be just as good, looking over at Yumi who appeared to still be sleeping and wondering when it was she would awake exactly.

"Cat's aren't a good source of nutrition!"
Yumi woke with a jump, she'd forgotten where she had been sleeping the night before as usual although she could feel a warmth next to her. She got the feeling it had been the warmth next to her which had woken her, and so she shut her eyes and moved closer to it, trying to cuddle up warmly. Only cats ended up next to her usually when she slept and so it was safe to say that it was a cat she was getting close to. Hugging it tightly for a second she paused, unless it was a heavily mutated cat next to her which had got larger and taller then it was no longer feline.
"You?"
She looked at the man she'd accidentally cuddled up to, but didn't bother moving due to still being a little bit groggy. Instead she just looked at him and asked:
"You're not a cat are you?"
She still had her love of cats at mind, and still had no idea where it came from. She was a magnet for them though and so was on the hunt for more all the time, thus the reason she'd moved towards him. Oh well, warmth was nice no matter the source, unless it was some evil old cat killer in which case - not good. Thankfully she knew well enough to know that the man wasn't a cat killer, although remembering his name could take time, and she had a better solution to that:
"What's your name again? Heh... And... Why are we sleeping next to each other? And why under a cart?"
She had many questions, and her current theories were unlike what most people would have expected them to be.
