"Soooo..." Ceon placed a hand on Ulric's shoulder from behind, a smirk on her face. "You said you were going to teach me some power, right? Let's do that now!" Eager to learn, the girl skipped around to face him from the front, not willing to let him slip away. "You can't decide not to now, you know. I'll keep you here by force if necessary!" She announced confidently, placing her hands on her hips to move her cloak further behind her. Doing so revealed the bodysuit underneath, which she normally liked to keep hidden, but she was hardly even noticing that when her attention was so greatly fixated elsewhere.
She wasn't going to so easily let go of another user of the Power now that she had found one. She had only recently come down from the mountains, and she still felt a little out of touch with the world, so finding someone who wasn't trying to kill her was a very big help. Until she had met him, she hadn't even known that the power was illegal! Well, she had been told by her father that she shouldn't use it around people, but she thought it was just because it was dangerous.
"What do you have to teach me, teacher?" She asked, somewhat sarcastically, as she closed in on him. He had different forms of the power to what she had learnt, although she had read about it in books before she hadn't actually seen much of it.

Ulric was in a noticeably good mood, he'd found someone else who was in a good mood, and also someone who knew magic. That was surprising, magic was illegal yet they were both knowledgeable that the other had it. Ulric of course came fairly recently into his magic and so was just coming to grips with it himself. for some reason though he had decided to teach this woman magic, eventhough he didn't fully understand how it worked with himself.
"Keeping me with force wont be necessary" He said lightly, wondering what exactly she could have meant by that as several possibilities floated around in his own mind.
Ulric took a few moments, he'd agreed to teach her magic yet to his knowledge he was only able to use two types of magic himself, and one of them he had no idea at all he would teach, how could he teach someone to have visions when he had absolutely no idea how he had them himself.
"So..." He began uncertainly, "Well the way it is for me could be different for you, but it works for me so I'm going to teach it my way. Basically for me I imagine my magic like a storm, building up within me, and then I focus it on one point where I will eventually make it come out from. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't." As he went through these steps he followed them himself, building it within him and focussing it on an arm pointed out directly to his right.

"Well?" Ceon watched eagerly as she awaited for Ulric to begin, wondering what she might see from the man. Would it be some kind of elemental power? Growing up, she had been particularly adept with lightning and water, and had focused a lot of her time into perfecting them. Although, she was hardly a master. Half the time she struggled to produce results as well, due to the unstable nature of the power and her lack of proper experience with it. She had researched a lot of the concepts, but her practical knowledge was somewhat lacking as a result. It wasn't easy to get a chance to practice something so dangerous and volatile in a small wooden shack, due to the risk of simply blowing the place up. And she hadn't been allowed outside much either, which limited her further.
"A storm? I'm fairly certain that's the one of the mindsets to be used to control the power of wind." Unfortunately, despite the display he had put on for the magic, Ulric turned out to be completely unsuccessful with it. Just as he had said, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. So he wasn't exactly a master, unfortunately.
"Haha, good job. Speaking of storms though, the closest I have would be this..." Ceon held out her hands in front of her, with her palms facing the ground, as she focused on gathering the energy of the dew on the grass below.

Unlike Ulric, Ceon's attempt at magic succeeded. The dew on the grass below began to rise upwards, collecting into a small bubble of water on her palm.

"Wind does seem to be what comes out for me, but for other's it's different, apparently for you water seems to be your area of expertise example. I'll teach you how to use the wind also though if you like." Ulric said, wondering how she was using the water how she did, her way of using magic seemed to be rather different to his.
Ulric used the power inside of him to create the wind, whereas she seemed to use it to manipulate the already existing water, it was rather interesting how their different styles of magic worked, he would be interested to learn how exactly she carried out her particular style, thinking that it might be rather useful for him also if he could use his magi in different ways as well as in different forms such as water, wind, fire or air.
He wondered if he would actually be able to teach her how to use the wind. Would their difference in how they used magic mean that his way of working it wouldn't work for her, would their difference be to great for him to actually be able to teach her how to use it. He guessed that considering he knew the basics, surely he could just transfer that to her and see how she worked it exactly.
"So the way it works for me is that I can feel my own magic inside of me looking for a release, and I give it that release as wind. But your style does seem different to my own, it seems that instead of creating as I do, you manipulate what is around you. So try focussing on the wind around you, exert some small amount of your power in the way you do to gather the water to you, but instead, try and gather the air around you."
Ulric was hoping that his explanation would be sufficient, and that his guesswork on a subject would work, it didn't require anyone to be particularly knowledgeable of magic to do as he did, it required simple logic applied to the subject. He just hoped that his simple logic would pan out and actually be useful otherwise he would be unable to teach her anything.
While she tried surely there was no harm in him also trying, he didn't want to look like the fool who coulr teach but couldn't do, but then again you know what they say, those that can't do teach.

"It is strange, how different people have different affinities for types of the power. I wonder if there's some way to determine that?" Ceon mumbled to herself, mostly just contemplating insignificant thoughts that had popped up into her head. She still help the blob of water in her hand for a few seconds, gazing absent-mindedly at her reflection and the figure of Ulric she could see on the other side of it. It wasn't so much that she was in thought at that point, but merely because she was entranced by the girl reflected in the water. Her senses told her that it was someone else, and someone quite attractive at that, but she unfortunately knew that such was not the case.
"Hmm, that is interesting. You can generate an element from nothing? I found that rather difficult myself which is why I focus on simply manipulating what is already around me." She released the ball of water in her hands, allowing it to splash harmlessly on the floor. "The air is a fluid, so maybe this won't be as difficult as I thought..." She focused herself on the air around her, trying to will it to move as she could with water. Unfortunately, it was not as easy as she had hoped. There was absolutely no change, but on the bright side neither was Ulric showing any luck.

"Not as difficult as you thought hey? It's difficult even for me and I have far more practice at wind magic than you, eventhough I myself am only a novice compared to some of the great sorcerers that are out there."
Ulric chuckled at his new acquaintance's thoughts of it being an easy magic to learn, no magic was easy to learn if his experiences had told him anything. Then again, his magic had suddenly been thrust on him and he had the pleasure of trying to find a way of working it by himself with no real teacher or anyone that could train him in the art, it was bad enough that he didn't even know the limit or infact what he could do with his magic fully yet, but he couldn't control it properly either.
What control he did have game only through practice, and even that was a pitifully small amount of control.
Ulric used what little amount of control he did possess to try and create a small ball of air in his hand, one that would spin quickly as an example to his pupil, with her manipulation type of magic she should be able to pull this off as while he was creating the magic for it she could control the air that already existed to make it.

"Hey, I was only saying that relatively. I'm not doubting that this is hard." She relaxed for a moment to catch her breath and recollect herself, taking a few deep breaths. It was quite taxing to keep attempting to use power that she was not as used to, so taking breaks was definitely a good idea if she was going to do this for a while. And if she planned to learn anything, she would definitely need to do it for a while.
What she did in the meantime, while she gathered energy for another attempt, was watch Ulric demonstrate the wind power he was teaching. Well, "demonstrate" was a subjective term. In actual fact, all he was doing was holding out his hand and concentrating, but nothing had been happening for a while now. It didn't leave Ceon much to go off, unfortunately.
"Don't you have any way to represent how you control it? Your tips so far have been lacking almost as much as your practical skills." She snickered, clearly making fun of him for his lack of aptitude thus far. However she soon stopped so that she could resume concentrating on her training, on gathering the air as she had been told.

"I have my ways yes, but you and I seem to use our magic in different ways, maybe I should have taught you the basics of my way of creating air rather than the air first, it may have made this easier. Oh well, we've started now so we may as well finish." In retrospect it would have been a much better idea, then they wouldn't have this barrier of him trying to teach her how to use air magic when her entire way of using it was different to his anyway, but they had started now and stopping midway would probably be worse for her than anything.
"Try again then, it's hard to learn magic, I myself am nowhere near even adept at my own magic usage, but I practice and one day I will be hopefully, then it's the easy life from there." He chuckled, knowing that it would never be the easy life, whenever life started getting easy an obstacle would always be put in your path that would trip you up or stop you in your tracks.
She went back to her concentration after making her comments, and her studiousness prompted Ulric into the same. Prompting him to once again call wind into his palm.

"We do indeed. You should teach me that creation power, it would make it easier to practice a lot of things with relative ease that would otherwise be difficult." The first thing that came to mind was her power over thunder, which she currently had very few ways to properly practice. Lightning wasn't really around often, only really in storms. And she had a very difficult time manipulating even a little bit of electricity, let alone such a massive amount. It was hardly practical, so an alternative method would have been extremely useful.
Ceon simply nodded, returning to her more concentrated state of mind so that she could focus on learning this wind power. But that didn't mean she was oblivious to the failed attempt coming from Ulric for the umpteenth time, lending her to snicker again. "Come on teacher, put some more effort into it! At this rate, I'll be the one teaching you!" She teased playfully, holding out her palms and breathing deeply. She needed to be in a calm state in order to have the highest chance of success, unlike her "teacher".

And it just so happened that the third time was the charm. The wind before her palms began to show disturbance, rustling some of the grass below and the leaves on nearby trees.

Ulric looked on at a small disturbance in the force wind, it seemed that she had been successful, either that or there had just been a sudden and completely unlikely gust of wind. He thought personally that she had succeeded, it was a gut feeling but he usually left most of his thinking to his gut instincts so for now he trusted it.
"There you go, wasn't to hard for you, seems as if you should be rather ok. Do it again, practice is good." Ulric said distractedly, noticing how she had in fact managed to use wind magic before him when he was supposed to be the one teaching her. Ulric put those thoughts to himself and tried instead to do something much simpler.
Focussing his thoughts Ulric went back to basics, feeling the power building in his palm, his palm that hung at his side yet faced towards his 'pupil'. If all went to plan the air would hit her in the face and blow her hair back.

The air came out of his palm for sure, that wasn't an issue, now it would just be if it actually hit her as he wanted it to, although she didn't know that it was coming and so it would be unlikely she would dodge it.
