"A noble goal. You should see the... library in Korasus one day. There is much there that you might find useful. Not everyone has the desire to seek history! You should cherish that, I think. Hmmm, Thrawn. Thrawn. Sounds interesting. That is a fun word, and a fun name, to say."
The Kalimbra was feeling better. Back on a happier subject. This is why she had come to the tavern in the first place, for kinship and to discover new companions. She thought about what he had said was his occupation. Hers was to make art. His was to discover truth. Merrake's was to protect her. Was the Kalimbra's occupation doing anything good at all? Did she have an impact like these others? Without Merrake she'd be dead, the impact was immediate. Perhaps one day Thrawn's occupation would have a massive impact on the world. He could discover something truly ground breaking. Some secret technology or lost magic. A telling of events long past that brings a new perspective to the world.
What was she doing though? Was her art having any sort of impact on the world?
"I'm Merrake Av'Manait. Drokagr Initiative bodyguard."

"Thank you Kalimbra, I hope to find something useful in my travels" Thrawn said with a laugh, he liked the way she said his name, it was very musical, "I would love to visit an actual library one day, unfortunately there are many people who don't see the benefits of preserving books."
It seemed to Thrawn that people seemed to be more interested in fighting than learning both here or in Darthak. He had daydreamed about visiting great libraries, in his mind there he pictured endless shelves and towers of books on all subjects, a bottomless well of information.
"A pleasure Merrake," the Darthaki said to the woman inclining his head once again in a show of respect. "I have never heard of the Drokagr Initiative, what is their purpose?"

"The initiative's purpose is charity. We were in town to distribute food. The initiative does a lot of things for the people of Cruinthe. I wouldn't say the people love us for it though.""I'd agree. It was through the charity work we were doing we got targeted by those bandits. I'm sure of it. The Kalimbra sticks out in a crowd, I'm sure ransoming her was on the list of things they wanted to do.""I thought we got away from this topic. Can we discuss something else please? Like the current price of bread, or eggs. Something."The Kalimbra was frustrated. Merrake had to derail things, expound on something that didn't need it. Fyrra's voice had been raised slightly, which was surprising for her bodyguard. The artist typically spoke at a low volume. People usually listened to her when she had something to say, there wasn't usually a need to raise her voice. Merrake felt bad for making her do it. She nodded her head towards the Kalimbra as a sign of submission. "I won't bring it up again. I'm sorry.""Apology accepted. Now, can we move onto something? How about libraries. The library in Korasus is open to all, so long as they can pay the rental fee. I think you can rent between one and three books a year?""Yes. One to three, but he'd have more trouble getting into the city without knowing someone that can vouch for him.""Well... oh... yes. That is troublesome."
Level up!

"A noble goal, there is no shortage of people who need charity in this world," Thrawn downed the rest of his ale and signaled towards the waitress for another.
It was clear to Thrawn that the pair has had a rought of time of it lately and Thrawn was more than happy to change towards more cheerful subjects, like books. Even though he was disheartened to hear that he would not be able ti simply walk into the city and spend days lost in that library, he wanted to know more about it.
"Shame, perhaps my journey might take me there one day. I hope to find a way into the city by then. How much of the library is dedicated to history? I know those books are hard to find."

"I agree."
Fyrra did agree that much of the world could use a kind word and charity. People suffered everywhere. That was the truth. She liked helping people, she liked helping them lead better lives. She continued to sip her tea quietly until Thrawn asked his question. Merrake choked on nothing but air at the question. Fyrra shot her a dirty look. History was his interest? That was hard to pin down, the elders controlled that information. She didn't know much beyond what happened the last twenty years. Her own experiences were the only thing coloring that.
"Ah, I can't really say. I don't know. Not a lot of history books are available. They maybe have five or six volumes available to the public. That information is controlled."
Merrake didn't have a comment. She only nodded solemnly at the answer.
