Jonathon listened to Gabriel. "Good night." Was his simple reply, not out of rudeness, out of simple desire though to be able to go to sleep himself, being on watch was rather boring whatever way you look at it, all you did was watch for several hours and no more than that. When the time had finally come for him to change watch he was looking forward to his bed, even if that bed was just a patch of ground.
Using the back of his arm and hand, Jonathon brushed a patch of ground large enough for him to sleep on and then some more, making sure that the ground that he would sleep on was free of any rocks or debris that could wake him or annoy him. When he was satisfied that his job was done he lay himself flat on his back, with his arms crossed with his dagger underneath should there be the need.
He checked that his sword was loose in it's holder, and when he was satisfied that should he need to wake quickly into action he could do so, he allowed himself to close his eyes and succumb to the darkness of sleep.

Gabriel kept walking round in the makeshift camp for an hour or two. Nothing seemed to be coming their way and everything had gotten a bit boring to be honest. Gabriel still tried to make fun of it all. She tried to make a little game of hopscotch using twigs and rocks and started playing by himself. He loved the feeling of his dress swaying in the wind and how when he jumped he could feel his corset keeping his dress stuck to him while all of the dress below it flowed up and then Straight back down.
Gabriel then went to fire staring, imagining things in the flame while still keeping an eye out for intruders. Fires were strange things, but kept Gabriel in awe. Mystical, but awesome was all Gabriel could think off. Gabriel then started thinking of all the ways fire could enhance your fighting capabilities and how it would be awesome to control fire.
Gabriel then looked up to see the sun starting to rise and thought that it would be a good time to wake Jonathon so they could start the days journey. Gabriel walked over and softly tapped his shoulder "Good morning Hun, come on its time we got on our way." Gabriel didn't know why he called Jonathon Hun but he thought it would help him waking up in a better mood. Gabriel then started getting everything together and got ready to leave.

Jonathon's dreams were more of nightmares than anytihng, an inky blackness through which he floated, a stench pervading everything, the reek of death, darkness all around. Overall rather a morbid and to most people depressing affair. Jonathon could feel a presence, another presence in his head, another mind testing his, teasing his boundaries yet not fully trying to gain entrance. It was a concerning experience for the fairly inexperienced dark mage, he had no idea what effect his dark magics could have but it appeared as if they were beginning to show.
Jonathon awoke in a cold sweat when Gabriel prodded him, one hand going to his sword and his knife arm extended instantly, in a flash the blade almost up against Gabriel's neck, before he stopped himself.
Upon seeing it was only her, his sword went back to it's place, Jonathon slowly relaxing his arm and allowing his dagger arm to drop before he replaced the dagger, slightly embarrassed on the whole that he'd almost stabbed his companion in the neck, he had no clue what he'd do if he'd actually done it. There were no medical facilities for at least a day's travel and he couldn't do anything for her by himself.
"Morning, we need to cover more ground today, I don't plan to spend forever wandering these roads." Jonathon said as he stood, moving to the fire and spreading out the wood that had made it, making so that the fire couldn't continue for much longer and also brushing dirt over the embers with his foot. Wouldn't do good to leave a lit fire out, all sorts of things could go wrong.
Once they were both ready the pair began walking again, Jonathon still trying to shake off the presence that lingered on the edge of his mind.

Jonathon had woken being alert and ready for the worse. Still didn't mean he had to nearly stab Gabriel in the neck. That one had shocked him, but When you were in the woods alone u had to be careful. Gabriel gave him the better of the doubt and just followed him again for the long days journey ahead.
A little way down the road Gabriel asked, "So how did you sleep Jonathon, as I slept alright. Had a bad dream to start but then after waking up I slept better after." Gabriel hoped to spark up a conversation with Jonathon so the days travel would not be as boring as the day before and they would have something at least to be able to talk about. Hopefully as well Gabriel would be able to learn a bit more about Jonathon as he surely was a weird person with a weirder personality, but it only intrigued Gabriel to know more about him. Well hopefully today would have the answers to all of Gabriel's questions.

"It was fine, glad you slept well." Her attempts at small talk were rather amusing, yet he felt that for maybe the one and only time ever he shouldn't shut her down immediately, maybe he'd learn something more about this person he was travelling with, while he trusted her enough in a fight when both their lives were on the line, it might be nice to know if he could expect a knife in the back late on on their journey.
His own life he didn't plan on saying much about if it could be helped, although there was little to tell anyway, he'd spent the vast majority of it in the academy, there was not much else to say and he didn't wish to speak about his life before until those affairs were dealt with, settled in the ash and dust where they belonged.
Jonathon set a steady pace for the two of them, unwilling to go slowly but keeping them at a measured pace that would ensure they were moving fast enough yet wouldn't need to stop that much for breaks as it wasn't to physically demanding.

Gabriel was a little annoyed at this. Jonathon wasn't having anything with Gabriel's attempt to spark a conversation, god he was annoying sometimes, Gabriel wondered if there could be a reason for this, he was a Mage so maybe it was the academy, that meant Gabriel would get nothing out of him. Well maybe Gabriel should attempt conversation one more time, it was a lovely day and maybe his attitude would change through out the day.
Gabriel said to Joanthon later on in the day after hours of silence, "God, Jonathon please. Stop talking so much you are talking my ear off." Gabriel giggled a bit at his own joke. "So what do you know about this place we are going in Sorath then?" Jonathon had to like jokes at least, something had to cheer him up.
Gabriel kept up the pace with Jonathon. Gabriel liked that they walked fast as it meant that they could get everything sorted and finish everything they wanted and needed too so they would make it to Sorath on time. They could properly walk faster, but as they left so early then it meant that they did not need to walk at an extreme pace.

The silence was rather nice, her attempts at small talk faded off rather quickly when he had quite clearly shown that he wasn't going to answer, the silence for a few hours as they walked was lovely, it enabled him to look around and listen to all the sounds of nature around them rather than only hear her yapping in his ear.
But then of course she had to start talking, started with a sarcastic comment before asking him an actual question. It came so unexpected that she would actually ask something that was useful for her to know and that he would be ok with telling her that he almost didn't believe his ears for a minute.
As he walked, he turned to face Gabriel to answer her question, "Sorath is a more central location in Cruinthe, it gives you a route to almost anywhere which is rather useful in my work, I also have some personal issues to deal with and they're easier to take care of if we get to Sorath first. Also, there's been reports of a strange opening that some people have dissapeared down that could possibly be rather dangerous, I personally want to go and have a look at it, see what's happening and maybe explore it ourselves if you are up for it."
His lecture taken care of Jonathon would once again go back to silence and the rest of their day would pass as such before once again Jonathon would call a stop. "We've walked enough today, set down your pack and we'll camp here for the night" He said, motioning to the grassy plain in front of them, "If we make camp just off the road it'll be easy to find in the morning still." And with that he would begin gathering up dead grass and whatever small pieces of wood that he could find.

HOLY MOLY JONATHON WAS A REAL BOY! He did know how to talk. Gabriel giggled again at his joke. The information that Jonathon relayed to him was valuable and would be need for Gabriel in the future. He would make sure to store the info somewhere in his head. Gabriel made sure to listen while they came nearer to the end of their day of walking. God walking really took some energy out of you and Gabriel knew that they would be stopping to rest at some point.
As Jonathon stopped and turned to Gabriel to say about making a place for the two of them to rest Gabriel just nodded, he wanted to get an earlier night sleep so he would hopefully get more time to sleep. "Same routine as last night, we make the fire then I'll sleep first half, then you second. We get up early and hit the road." Gabriel hoped that Jonathon would agree, if not he would have to try using some of his girly charm as he guessed that Jonathon still thought that Gabriel was a boy. It could always come into a advantage and Gabriel could always just lie and use his disguise to aid him into getting what he wanted.
Gabriel started getting some fire wood together in the hope that tonight he could start the fire for the two of them as he looked silly when Jonathon made it yesterday, even though it was on his second try when Gabriel had only trued once. Anyway, Gabriel made the sticks into a kinda tent shape and put lots of cinderlin under it to try and get the fire going for the camp.

"Sounds good by me, first let's get a fire going" Jonathon said as he wandered around the plains around their makeshift camp, collecting tufts of dry grass as well as dried out seed pods and small twigs to use for their fire. There wasn't much big wood out here or any large flammable objects so they'd have to keep it relatively small, either that or feed it bucketfuls of dead grass and seed pods every few minutes to keep it going.
But when he turned around, it seemed that Gabriel had beaten him to it. Jonathon had absolutely no idea how she'd actually managed to do it, but unless his eyes were deceiving him there was a fire just in front of her, and he couldn't think of anyone else who could have made it considering they're the only people around so it must have been her.
"Good job on the fire, get some sleep I'll wake you for your watch." Jonathon said as he stretched his arms, followed shortly by his legs, if he left his body for to long after a long day of walking then he'd be all stiff and unable to move particularly quickly, that was not how he wanted to be when they still were not on particularly favourable ground for themselves.
Jonathon would, as the night before, begin pacing around the campsite, patrolling the imaginary boundaries that he set at the edge of where the light of the fire reached, even if tonight those edges were considerably closer together due to their lack of reasonable fuel for their fire.
Whether he liked it or not the job needed doing, even if it was incredibly boring.

After Gabriel had made the fire and Jonathon had seen, he had been pretty happy for Gabriel to sleep. Hopefully he would get more sleep tonight as the day had been tiring. Gabriel quickly got some of the grass lying about to try and make a makeshift roll mat so the ground would be a little softer tonight and it worked a little. Gabriel then lay down and pulled Sally out, and covered Sally over in the grass so someone else wouldn't see it, but Gabriel would know where she is just in case something happened.
Gabriel then put her arms under her head and quickly fell into a deep sleep after looking up to Jonathon and saying "Good night Jonathon, make sure you don't wake me up too early as I need my beauty sleep." Good night sweet dreams hun." Gabriel then looked up to the stars...Next thing Gabriel knew he was in his dream world to do what he pleased. While Gabriel slept tonight he would dream of the wildest things, as in this dream. Gabriel knew he had full control and could do to his hearts content.

Jonathon's mind wandered, so far his success with forcing magic into weapons had been limited, he'd managed to put magic into both his sword and knife, the sword with dark magic, he assumed that the dark magic would hurt people it hit, yet he was unwilling to try it out on himself so he would have to find that out if and when it happened.
He wondered about his armour, he had the ability to make shields, would it be possible for him to somehow strengthen the hard leather armour that he wore, make it slightly stronger so that it could take more punishment, that'd be useful wouldn't it, it'd help him work on his defensive capabilities.
Jonathon quickly removed the armor, wanting to get this over with in the smallest amount of time so that he'd spend the smallest amount of time without wearing his armor. Jonathon held the armor up with one hand and in his other he focussed some of his power, a white glow building in his hand as he put more power into it. When he felt like he'd reached enough he thrust his hand into the armor.
He watched as a white glow rippled throughout the armor...and then faded. Why had the magic left it so soon...it had been there for mere seconds before it left. It hadn't worked, why exactly he was unsure, maybe the material wasn't sufficient, it couldn't hold the magic in it for long enough for it to hold properly.
After a few moments of prodding and poking the armor with his sword, he surmised that there was no change at all in the leather, it hadn't worked at all. He slipped the armor back on and continued on his rounds, thinking of reasons why it hadn't worked. Maybe only metals could hold the magic properly....and with that his eyes roamed to the large amount of metal armour and the weapon that Gabriel carried....maybe if he could convince her, he could experiment a bit.

Gabriel was deep in a dream world. It was a white canvas that he could do anything with. He could fight dragons or just chill in the market streets for the day. Gabriel loved these types of dreams as he had free will to do what he wanted when he wanted, but with a dream you always have limited time. Gabriel knew he had to be quick but what should he do in his dream today. Ooooo, the excitement was too much. Gabriel was properly flinching and rolling a bit in his sleep with the excitement.
Gabriel finally decided on having a dream of being a leader of an army, rallying up his troops just before they charged into battle. Getting them all ready to charge. "Hold your ground! Hold your ground! Sons of Soarth, of Julgrava, my brothers, I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight!! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the Tiara!!! We will fight again the Crown, And we will be victorious."
Then Gabriel would lead her army into a raging battle with the SKC, with Julgrava's eye on top of the Barad-dûr, Gabriel would win this fight and destroy him forever. Gabriel would be going through the battle killing one after another, but then all the warriors, good and bad, would be blasted aside. There stood Julgrava, tempting fate by challenging Gabriel to a duel....
