"Glad you asked. A&F Ventures is a supplier for a variety of completed goods for adventurers, soldiers, and private citizens. We make clothing, artwork, weapons, equipment, and other such things."
Allyria said addressing Jorkahn's question first.
Then the Elkagr girl brought her dagger out while the others had taken some time asking their questions and bringing up their points. Allyria froze for a second, thinking she made some kind of offense. It was not a pleasant moment. Tyr had more or less interceded. But Allyria wanted to steer this away from a confrontation, and answer some of the questions at the same time.
"Uh yes. A&F Ventures has a forge and workshop in town. It is only a few blocks away, any of you are welcome to come and work on some equipment and gear there. Please just respect the property and tools. We can acquire horses for a cart, I'll be willing to assist in constructing that specifically, or anything else any of you would like assistance with."
She paused for a second hoping that had taken care of any tension or questions. Then moved on to the subject of introductions. She sipped her tea, and placed it down first. Then began to roll up the map while she talked.
"Introductions are in order since we're now working together on this venture. As I said before, I'm Allyria Allenmorde."

The boy wasn't really paying attention visually to his surroundings. He was listening to what everyone was saying when they spoke, and made furtive glances to Tyr and Allyria as they spoke, but Nadera made him rather uncomfortable so the boy mostly avoided eye contact. As such, he missed the woman pull out her weapon. He was about to respond to Tyr's question of horses when he glanced over to the larger man and saw a rather serious look on his face. Before Jorkahn could follow his stare the Shaper spoke, and as the word 'blade' left his lips the Champion finally saw the dagger. It took him by surprise and he jumped to his feet so fast the chair he was sitting on hit the floor. Because he got up so fast his cup of tea fell from his lap and shattered on the ground.
The warrior had gone into a sort of auto pilot state at seeing the weapon. Tyr's grim tone and expression had also made him assume the worst. For a few awkward seconds the lad just stood there staring at the Elkagr woman, his hand on his short sword. Eventually he was brought back to reality and his tunnel vision became less narrow. He looked around and realized Allyria was still speaking and that everyone else seemed relatively calm compared to him. Not too long after what he had done clicked in his mind and his face turned a burning red. As Allyria was introducing herself the fledgling warrior fumbled to pick his chair back up, sit in it, and bury his face in his hands. He had overreacted again. This wasn't the first time and likely wouldn't be the last.
He sputtered through his hands,"J-J-Jorkahn Wealdir... I can p-pay for t-t-that." The boy felt like crying. "A-also I brought my horse." He couldn't bring himself to take his hands away from his face.

Interrupting cow who? Interrup MOOO... The peasant broke her concentration, yes, that is why her enchantment failed... not because she wasn't that great at artificing yet, nor because she was trying to do the enchantment in the middle of a cafe. It was all because the peasant took offense to her pulling out her dagger in a public place where such actions might be deemed inappropriate by those smaller minded people, so he just had to interrupt her. She didn't even notice the champion go for his blade, she only noticed him bumbling about with his chair. "I am quite fine, thank you. I hadn't planned on stabbing anyone... but I suppose at the workshop that was just offered up would be a better place. Maybe there I won't be interrupted."
"Seeing as you don't understand the full complexity of what I was just trying to achieve, allow me to introduce myself. I am Nadera, tailor of functional and fashionable clothes, jeweler of no small talent, artificer... which you would have found out had you let me finish my enchantment... and summoner. I like moonlight strolls, fine clothes, and people who don't interrupt me." She had addressed the majority to the group, but the last sentence was reserved for the peasant and it was accompanied by daggers more deadly than the one she still held in her hand, it was accompanied by daggers from her eyes. "Now if you'll excuse me for just a moment..."
She then turned her focus back to her blade, with such grandiose statements she really needed to follow through... Her tongue had gone off faster than her brain, and she was unsure if she could now back the hubris she had just exuded. The pressure was on, if she couldn't do something at this moment these people who were so beneath her would think her all bark and no bite. She had to succeed, there was no other option at this moment.
Threshold somewhere between -2 and 58 K=12, Artificing I, Arcane I, Thaumaturgy I fhk8eaLc
The dagger flared with light. Success, it had worked, she had the bite to back her bark. "...That is what I was trying to do when you interrupted me." She tossed the dagger onto the table, she didn't want people to think she was going to stab them after all.

A&F Ventures sounded like something right up Tyr's alley, a company bent on producing everything almost anyone might need. As it was he did the same thing, in a way. Allyria was already willing to assist with the construction of the cart so it would be a perfect time to assess capability. To meet an accomplished fellow crafter would be fantastic! Really the whole meeting would be going fantastically if it weren't for the..
Mage. She was a mage. Well that was interesting. It brought a whole lot of things into a clearer focus real quick like. Tyr picked up the shining blade and inspected it idly in one hand, not giving a thought to the blade that couldn't cut through his gauntlet if he wanted it to.
"Interesting. Useful, unless you didn't want it. Hard to conceal light after all..." Shined through everything, or around it. A perfect sheath would do, or a lot of leather, but that would almost be wasteful. The Duke curled a hand around the dagger and tried to crush the brittle metal in his grip. It wouldn't be easy that way, but it also wouldn't be obvious should it prove the better of his grip.
*I have permission to try this* Crushing strength roll vs dagger. Power Swing (Because crushing it in his hand) makes 45 Str - 15 (Hard) ydCtNuTZ That's a nope.
Which it did. Who'd have thought metal would be hard to break with one hand right? Giving an approving nod to the weapon Tyr placed it gently back on the table, respectfully pointed the edge back at himself. The calm demeanor and bright smile returned undaunted.
"And I am the Duke Tyr Mardok, lord of the great northern house, and Master Shaper. Although you may simply call me Tyr." He tried not to specifically watch for Nadera's reaction to who he was. As a mage she was either a non-Cruinthian, or a mage hunter in service of the King. If the former, that would make for a very interesting diplomatic case. The latter and she would, hopefully, realize indirectly insulting him was probably not the greatest of things to be doing. Either way he figured there would be a little, if short-lived, sweating involved. Good times. "Should any of you need anything made, I would be glad to assist. I am currently skilled in all materials but bones, jewels, and the more exotic metals." Introduction over it was time to get back to business.
"Miss Allenmorde I will see to the construction of the cart immediately. Should you like to assist me I will be heading to the nearby woods for some fresh lumber." The Duke finished the rest of his tea and waited for the rest of the conversation to be finished.

"Oh don't worry about the chair..."
Allyria tried to sound as sympathetic as possible, but she felt it might have been lost in the stormy seas of the boy's anxiety. She made a mental note to take a look at him later, and see why he was so nervous all the time. Of course, it would not do for her to do so without his permission and then reveal things that she gleans to him. That's how you scare the crap out of a person.
If you're going to do it without his permission you don't tell him anything. Or you can do it the right way, Allyria, and ask first.
Do it anyway. I want to know what makes him tick.
Scarlet scratched at the chains Allyria had put her in. The alter-ego scared her at times, and it wasn't necessary right now.
Shut up!
Mild panic flashed on her face for a second, but not because of the dagger or the magic.
The Arren'El proved to be a mage. That was very interesting to Allyria. She tried to not practice her magic in front of the Cruinthians. It tended to scare them. They were unfamiliar with it and there were laws against its use. Allyria had the immunity by being a Korasuan. She wondered where this Arren'El was from. But now was not the time.
It was time to move on.
"Yes, let's head over to my workshop as soon as we're done here. Perhaps the other members of the company will be there. Then you and I can head over to the forest together. Skaraptica is the closest I believe."
She was uncomfortable with using Tyr's first name without a honorific like Lord or Duke. Instead she went in the complete opposite direction and went straight for the most informal thing possible, 'you'. Just you. She looked at him when she said it, straight at his eyes so he'd know he was the 'you'.
"Does anyone need lodging?"
The thought occurred that they'd be waiting two days at least before beginning the expedition. Lodging might be required of those who had not yet set up their own. She figured she might as well show some more hospitality. Allyria then stopped moving for just a second. Her irises focused into pinpoints, and she was gone. Then instantly she was back again as if nothing had happened. Blood dripped from her nose into her lap. She brought a cloth napkin to her nose quickly.
"Ah.. sorry. I get nosebleeds sometimes. Weather."
Liar.
SHUT UP!

(The vision)
She was out in the woods, floating amongst the branches of the trees. The daylight crashing through them dappled the ground with shadows and light. There a child was playing among the twigs and mosses on the forest floor. He had built a little stick village with the leaves, moss, and sticks.
Then a crow cawed. She looked at it, it looked at her. It cawed again. Then another joined it by the branch and cawed down at the boy. The boy looked up at the crows.
"Hello!"
They cawed at him again.
"Bwark! Hahaha!"
He did his best impression of a crow.
Allyria's perspective immediately shifted to the trees behind the boy, a little deeper in the forest. A hooded figure stood there, it had a long black beak jutting out from the equally dark cloth. It stalked towards the boy silently. The boy kept playing. Allyria wanted to scream out.
Run! It's going to get you.
It got him. Long talons snatched the child and pulled him into its maw. The child screamed. The crows flew off. And the black figure was gone.

It seemed like his outburst and resulting anxiety attack went mostly unnoticed. It actually served to calm him down quite a bit. It was amazing how good he felt when he wasn't being paid attention to. This wasn't to say he wasn't embarrassed or anxious anymore, quite the opposite in fact. He gave a shy, thankful smile to Allyria but could not keep eye contact. Eventually the boy took his hands away from his face and began to clean up the spill and shattered cup. Shame he had to be so wasteful.
The ensuing conversation between the Elkagr and his friend was lost to him. The boy was silently mumbling to himself while trying to take control of his flustered emotions. He was still cleaning up when Tyr mentioned going to the forest and Allyria asked if anyone needed lodging. While the boy could afford his own lodging, he would prefer not having to pay for a place to sleep. His horse also needed a safe place away from the elements and potential thieves. After waging a war in his head about whether he should speak up or not, the young warrior finally spoke to the Drokagr.
"U-u-uhm... I do not have a place to s-stay." He couldn't bring himself to look at Allyria for very long. Allyria made him uncomfortable simply because she was a stranger. She seemed nice to him, however, so he could speak to her. Nadera on the other hand he didn't like very much. He always had trouble dealing with people with her strong personalities not to mention the fact that she seemed to have problems with the rest of the people in the room. The real reason though was because she so blatantly insulted Tyr. The boy looked down at the floor and continued cleaning, almost as if he had never said anything at all.

Duke............. Duke..... The implications of the word roiled around in her mind for a moment. This man, this poorly dressed man was a Duke? Surely he was jesting? Surely someone with such unrefined tastes could not be the lord of a house. She couldn't except him as a duke, clearly this man was a delusional peasant. Spouting such nonsense would likely get him killed one day by the real lord of "the great northern house," but for now she didn't really care as long as he was useful. Which despite his obvious poor mental state he appeared to be, while she didn't believe he was a duke, she did believe the man a decent craftsman. The craftsmanship of the few items he had demonstrated thusly were quite revealing of his talents. He might be able to create for her more suitable equipment than the generic bullshit she had been persuaded into purchasing up to this point.
In response to the inquiry as to the necessity of lodging, she responded, "I will need suitable lodging while I am here, although I doubt I will be spending much time outside of the workshop over the next two days. If anyone would like I can work silver or gold motif to your existing equipment and add a setting for a gemstone. Such additions are not merely cosmetic, they make the item in question more receptive to enchantment, and the gemstones themselves usually have some effect." she paused for a second as if considering if she should leave it off at that point, or if she should continue, the she continued, "If we have the time, I can also attempt to enchant whatever equipment you wish to be enchanted."
She had to at least be as useful as the crazy peasant...

Tyr sat around and drank his tea as the others talked. He had nothing else to contribute to the current dialogue and was simply waiting for the meet up to be adjourned. His lodging would be an inn in the city, there would certainly be at least one, and if not there was the tent and sleeping bag. Roughing it wasn't hard and he wasn't prissy enough to require lavish accommodations. Plus it was damn good tea.
Tyr is done here unless something comes up.

"Oh, well there's empty bedrooms at the manor. You can both stay there if you'd like."
Allyria started to pack up her things while the other Elkagr was talking. A jeweler and enchanter huh? Fabre was a jeweler, and an artist, in many respects. And Allyria herself was very capable of working enchantments onto equipment. She didn't say anything about it though. Nor did she overly condone such public broadcasting of one's ability to enchant. Though this woman was an elf, and the law would likely ignore her behavior. Such was the sort of country and time they were living in.
"We'll see what we can accomplish as a group when we return from the woods for materials. I'll show you all to the manor and workshop now."
With her belongings completely packed up she paid the tab and started towards the door. The others would likely follow suit, and they'd have a nice short walk together over to Undal Street & Vayar Avenue. .

Allyria offered to show them where they could stay and Nadera mentioned her profession and abilities. They sounded extremely useful, in fact he had been looking for someone who could appraise the amulet he had bought those few months ago. He felt like it was enchanted, or at the very least magical in some way. He simply did not have the expertise to appraise it himself, nor did he have the slightest clue where to start. A good enchant or two on his primary set of gear would also be a good idea, but no matter how good of an idea it was, or how much he wanted it, he couldn't bring himself to hire Nadera's services. She was just too intimidating to him at the moment.
Normally the boy would stick with Tyr, but he felt a room alone by himself would be preferable this time around. Give him some time to think and decompress from what he had experienced today. Also it was free in this case, and the large sum of money he had access to from his parents had become significantly smaller because of taxes. Not that he was particularly poor.
When he finally finished cleaning up Jorkahn stood up and began to follow Allyria, as long as nothing else was happening.

She didn't want to admit that she was relatively broke at the moment, so she accepted the Drokagr's hospitality despite her misgivings about their kind. She filed out with the rest of the group as they headed toward the workshop. She would need to gather her own supplies, but with the gold just offered instead of from the woods. Gold, cotton, silver, gemstones... all things she would need to acquire before beginning her work. Ideas for designs played through her mind as they headed toward Undal Street.
I'm done here unless anyone has anything else to add.
