Random Encounter Combat Guide « Thread Started on Aug 9, 2009, 12:08pm »
A new display system has been developed for use in random encounters against players. For those of you that have a hard time understanding what goes on in the bottom of a Monster Moderator's, Senior Moderator's, or My own posts here's a quick guide to follow.
HP is displayed in one of three colors per monster, at a time.
100/100, 32.7/100, 0/100
Green, Orange, and Red.
Green is used when a monster has 51% of its HP or more. Orange is used when a monster has 50% to 11% of its HP. Red is used when a monster has 10% or less of its HP.
Green indicates that the monster is fine. Orange indicates that the monster is wounded heavily. Red indicates that the monster is critically wounded, dying, or dead.
Numbers that are displayed without a color indicate a Shield, or a thing that has HP that is separate from the actual monster, like vines, or tentacles that have their own HP.
Numbers that are displayed in Blue or Light blue are MP values.
100/100, 33/100
Blue is used when the monster has more than 50% of its MP left. Light Blue is used when a monster has less than 50% of its MP left.
Feel free to use these systems yourself or modify them a little as a player. Not all Moderators will use this display system though.
We lived our lives in our paradise, As gods we shaped the world around. No borderlines we'd stay behind, Though balance is something fragile. While we thought we were gaining, We'd turn back the tide, it still slips away. Our time has run out, our future has died, There's no more escape.
Welcome
Welcome to Cruinthe War, a Dark Medieval Fantasy RPG. The game is set in a kingdom on the brink of destruction by untold horrors, monsters made from the stuff of nightmares, and heretical creations from beyond the grave. A legion of bloodthirsty demons, vampires, and various undead threaten to overrun the kingdom of Cruinthe at any given moment. Only the brave defenders of Cruinthe stand in their way, fighting the bitter and bloody battle to their last breaths.
Date and Season
The year is 1053, the month is Ausoris, the season of Summer. Summer in Cruinthe is a season that is hot and humid. Unlike the dry season to come, the air is thick with evaporating water that was left over from the rainy season. Summer is the month where magical creatures are most active, due to random concentrations of magic in the air. It will rain suddenly, the temperatures can get up to one hundred and ten degrees, and the sun shines brightly for many days straight. Happy Hunting Cruinthe!
